went to the oath ceremony in Chicago today. 
They did not allow family members to enter and the entire process took 30 min .  In all there were 30 people with her .
wife came back with the naturalization cert. 
applying for passport by weekend .

Yesterday the status changed to ceremony has been scheduled. ( waiting for the letter)

interview for naturalization was in jan

was told decision cannot be made since this is based on marriage 

today i checked the account it has two updates . 

first approved 

then after that you attended the interview 

does this mean that i am approved or are they still thinking about it ?

you would just need the copy of the tax documents or tax transcripts . 
 

my wife had her interview last week and the same thing happened . just after the test the interviewer said that we would need more time to review this case without even asking any evidences or information . 

seems like we would also have to wait for months now ..

passed the test 
not a single document was asked except green card , state id  and appointment letter 
straightaway said a decision cannot be made since this is through marriage . we need more time to review . 
we brought tonnes of documents but they didn't see any

I am the US citizen and my wife has the naturalization interview next week . 
she has been asked to bring "spouse's birth or naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship " . 

while submitting all the documents for citizenship, she submitted my naturalization certificate copy . since i don't have the original (as it was taken when I submitted documents for passport ) and just have a copy should i give her just the copy or can she show my  US passport ?

Hello All, 

I am about to start my wife's citizenship process based on the 3 year marriage rule . while reading the documents required I see that i would have to submit our marriage certificate . 
- our marriage was held in india and the certificate was made there . At that time my wife decided to take my family name  but later she decided to use just her original name for all her documents ( license , green card etc ) . How can i mitigate this issue when i submit the documents ? Does she needs to provide an affidavit saying the name on the marriage certificate is my name and I decided to change it to maiden name ?
