  5. in summary, we're back to the 1970's with climate hysteria. i remember hearing the gulf stream would collapse back then.
  6. A key Atlantic current could be pushed to the brink of collapse within decades, supposedly ushering in a new ice age and dramatically raising sea levels, climate scientists have claimed in a controversial new study published in the journal Communications Earth & Environment. The apocalyptic predictions came as a result of a collaboration between researchers at the Institute of Oceanology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOCAS) and the University of California, San Diego — weeks after one-time climate alarmist Bill Gates publicly downplayed the impact of temperature fluctuations on the planet. Per the new findings, the at-risk current in question is the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation or AMOC, a “conveyor belt of the ocean” that funnels warm water toward the ocean surface — from the tropics to the Northern Hemisphere. This current, which includes the Gulf Stream that runs from the Gulf of Mexico to the US East Coast and across the Atlantic to Europe, helps maintain the mild climate of Europe, the UK, and the US East Coast. The study stated that the source of this marine temperature regulator, the Greenland Ice sheet, is being thawed amid warming temperatures, causing meltwater runoff to leach into the North Atlantic — leading to stagnation. more at https://nypost.com/2025/11/12/science/gulf-stream-on-the-verge-of-collapse-scientists-warn/

  16. People are gathering at ceremonies around the Great Lakes this weekend to honor the memories of the 29 crew members who died a half-century ago on Nov. 10, 1975, when the Edmund Fitzgerald — the largest freighter on the Lakes at the time — sank during a ferocious storm on Lake Superior. Fifty years later, the loss of a ship known as the “Titanic” of the Great Lakes remains one of the most famous shipwrecks in history. It’s buoyed in our memories by the haunting song “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” released by Gordon Lightfoot a year after the tragedy, and the lingering mystery around what exactly happened to cause the Fitzgerald to go down so quickly that the captain didn’t even issue a distress call. The anniversary of the tragedy is also a yearly reminder of the size, scale and power of Lake Superior and the Great Lakes, bodies of water the size of inland seas where the ‘Gales of November’ can whip up wind and waves of hurricane-like intensity. more at https://www.mprnews.org/story/2025/11/09/edmund-fitzgerald-shipwreck-legacy-continues-50-years-later

  18. COLDWATER, Kan. (KWCH) - Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced Wednesday that his office has filed election fraud charges against Jose (Joe) Ceballos, the mayor of Coldwater, Kansas. Ceballos was re-elected Tuesday night. Officials from the attorney general’s office filed the charges in Comanche County. Ceballos faces three counts of voting without being qualified and three counts of election perjury. The charges are non-person felonies, and Ceballos could face more than 5 years in prison. “In large part, our system right now is based on trust. Trust that when the person signed the registration or signs the pollbooks saying that he’s a qualified elector or that he is a United States citizen, that the person is telling the truth,” said Kobach. “In this case, we allege that Mr. Ceballos violated that trust.” While Cabellos, 54, is a legal permanent resident, Kobach said he is not a U.S. citizen but a citizen of Mexico. more at https://www.kwch.com/2025/11/05/kansas-mayor-charged-with-election-fraud-after-re-election/

  22. There's little that is as upsetting as seeing your tax dollars spent on something you are morally opposed to with every fiber of your being. It's especially upsetting when that something is an attack on one of our basic civil liberties that's expressly protected by the United States Constitution. However, as we found out earlier this year, our tax money was ending up in the bank accounts of various gun control groups, thus we were being forced to fund the effort to strip us of our God-given right to keep and bear arms. Much of that funding was cut off already, but not all of it. As the NRA-ILA notes, though, President Trump has cut off even more. The loss of funding resulted in a lawsuit against the Trump administration brought by five non-profit entities, lead by the progressive Vera Institute of Justice, alleging the cuts were unconstitutional, illegal, and arbitrary and capricious. In July, an Obama-appointed judge of the federal district court for the District of Columbia denied injunctive relief and granted the defendants’ motion to dismiss, ruling that the plaintiffs failed to show the court had jurisdiction over their arbitrary and capricious claim and failed “to demonstrate a violation of any constitutional right or protection.” more at https://bearingarms.com/tomknighton/2025/11/04/trump-cuts-off-tax-money-pipeline-to-gun-control-groups-n1230490
