All done – now US Citizens! I didn’t say but my wife and 20 yo daughter did theirs also, so 3 of us on this.

Can someone please update my status?

Interviews on Tuesday went fine, spent first 15 mins going through the application…, a few questions asking “not been a member of a terrorist org etc”. And “you agree / promise if required by law, you will bear arms, do work for government if required”…etc.

All stuff from the N400 application

Then Questions (very easy ones for me – no names or dates):

What is the name of the National Anthem?

What is the supreme law of the land?

How many Senators are there?

When must all men register for the Selective Service?

What ocean is on the West Coast?

Why does the flag have 13 stripes?

Then asked me to read from on a page “We have one hundred Senators”

Now a separate blank sheet of paper “please write the following”….

“we have one hundred Senators”

I was back out in waiting room in less than 25 mins. Then wife called for hers, then my daughter.

Done. All passed 100%.

Arranged Oath Ceremony for Thursday (found out they have them every Thursday in Detroit), we went and all got our Certificates yesterday afternoon. Done.

My wife’s Questions were:

Name one of the longest rivers?

Name one state that borders Canada? We live in Michigan…

How old do Citizens have to be to vote for President?

We elect a Senator for how many years?

What stops one branch of government becoming too powerful?

What Ocean is on the East Coast?

My daughter can’t remember all hers, but this is what she did remember:

When was the Constitution written?

What is the name of the Speaker of the House?

What is the economic system of the US?

Who makes federal law?

?

?

Can someone update my info. I have now re scheduled date due to work travel on last interview date (08/04).

New Interview date is Sept 15.

My letter arrived on Monday July 6th with Interview date for August 4th. I will be out of the country and have returned asking to reschedule after August 9th. Will update when I hear back.

Can someone please update for me - Just got my e-notification (In Line) 15 mins ago (finally, was wondering why taking so long as expected last week).

No date, have to wait for letter in mail.
