  1. Hello. Everyone on here is correct: your case is dead.

This had happened to us. Our case was returned to the NVC for verification by USCIS and this took us  6 months to find out. . We had a stupid lawyer who did not know this.  We refiled using the K-1 visa again and were approved.

So: contact the USCIS and cancel this current  case and file again. Explain everything and make to file the document that states why you are filing with the same fiance'.  See this VJ info:

It is important you research and call USCIS today to verify what we say is true. Do not wait. I found a truthful USCIS representative who told me. Please act with care and speed. You can will succeed; we did.  Good Luck.

  2. Hello.  USCIS received our application on 05Apr2018(overnight and signature was required.) As of today(12Apr2018), the check has not been cashed. Both K-1 and AOS checks were cashed lightening fast to the point of whiplash! With ROC,  no check cashing, email or text message (we included the  G-1145 form in our application)at all.

We mailed it to the California Service Center...should  we be alarmed( maybe the application is being sent back to us)? We sent a check with the correct amount spelled out. USCIS told us to wait 10 business days to contact them.

Is there any other way to get the information if there is a problem before the 10 days?

Thanking everyone in advance  for any information.

  3. Hello. We interviewed May 11 at the Los Angeles Field Office and received a RFE at the conclusion. We sent back the updated marriage certificate document requested (by Priority Mail) to the L.A. office and it was received on June 8. We have not heard anything. We failed to ask the IO how long it will be once the field office received the information.

How long does it take for an answer?

    Thank you.

  4. Hello. We had our AOS interview on May 11 and received a RFE at that interview. We mailed the information back and it was received(using Priority Mail) by the Los Angeles Field office. Does anyone know how long it would take the L.A. Field Office to process the RFE and make a decision(approval, hopefully). We know the office has many applicants. At the interview, we failed to ask how long the processing time would be after receipt of the document.

    Thank you.

  5. Hello.

We appliend for the AOS in September 2015(after entering on a K-1 visa from China) and noticed many people have recieved their interview appointements/and or have already interviewed. We have not.

my spouse is to pick of TB results at the clinic in L.A. on Wednesday, December 29, 2015. Is the L.A. office of USCIS waiting for those results to be completed before scheduling an AOS interview ? We know the backlog of cases but we are curious about this.

    When should we contact USCIS?

We have received the EAD/AP card--good news.

    Any information is appreciated.

    Thank you.

  6. I suggest you bring all of copies his court documents to explain the situation and the outcome)if you have those, then the CO knows you have been informed. Just in case, you are asked about it at the interview. You got this far, so this is good news. The Embassy did not return your petition to the NVC for clarification with the USCIS--if that happened, the petition is good as dead. But yours made it to the interview stage--so be happy and be prepared to explain it. Yes, and the Embassy will want to make sure you know, so be prepared. And you should be fine

  7. Hello:

My fiancé had to give the 3 Sputum sample. That was completed four weeks ago on July 3, 2015. We were told it will be completed in 6-8 weeks....will it be closer to 6 weeks? Also. once it's completed, how soon will the medical exam be ready for pickup after TB testing has been completed? We may have to reschedule our Aug 31, 2015 interview appointment.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  8. Being a citizen of any country is a privilege. In the U.S., it is a privilege that millions have sought. I live in a border state(California) and believe me, Mr./Miss Bulgaria, it is a privilege.

Bulgaria? I guess coming from there, you would think that it is a "right" that you immigrate to what country you want; that you are entitled to 'fast entry". Sorry, buddy. your mystical hocus-pocus belongs on Fantasy Island--not in the U.S.

Maybe Bulgaria is considered the new land of opportunity --ahh...the Bulgarian dream...pass the glass of cold rakiya (Bulgarian grape or fruit brandy) or Ouzo.

  9. Please give more information. Have you read the pinned thread at the top of the regional forum page?

    (mod hat on)

    Hello. I have more information:

1.From his legal age to marry(22), he has no record,,so he had to write out a statement of non-marriage status, get fingerprinted and have it notarized(and get an English translation). We wanted to know if this would be enough.

2.Yes, There are 4 pages with Red Seals.

    3. The medical exam results..he said that they will send the results directly to the consulate

4.So, actually now, it's the single marital status certificate we care concerned about now. Please assist.

    Thank you

  10. Hello.

My fiance' has an interview appointment with the Guangzhou Consulate. We have a question about the marital certificates, medical exam and the police certificates:

    1. He is single and never married..therefore he cannot get a marital certificate.. he only has a letter that attest to his single status and it is in Mandarin and English...will this be accepted by the consulate? Is there something else we need>?

    2. He has his police certificates in a "white book"...not sealed..is this Ok?

    3. The medical exam--we were told that if he has a questionable Chest X-ray or anything, there is a 6 week wait for results from the sputum specimen? Is that how long it takes? (an extra 6 weeks until the K-1 interview)

    4. Any other details and information for us that will be helpful are appreciated.

    Thank you.

  11. We registered for an account on ustraveldocs and paid the $265 fee. We have not registered the Receipt number from the payment because we do not know how or where to do this. On which website do we register the receipt number? We have not received .The GUZ had received our Package 3 on 12Jun2015 and Package 4 email as of today.

    Thank you for any information.

  12. Thank you. We received the Package 3, mailed it back and the GUZ received it June 12, 2015. We have yet to receive the P4 email...our CEAC updated on 19Jun2015 BJT. We also paid the $265 K-1 visa fee online and received a receipt number and CGI number.

    1. How long does getting Package 4 email take to arrive?

    2. Can we schedule the interview date BEORE we get the P4?

    3. and take the medical exam?

    4. and the GUZ interviews are one day only?

I am currently waiting for a response from the GUZ by email.

  13. Hello.

Tataki 102, you are right--this P3 to p4 is so confusing.

We just sent off the p3 and shoudl arrive at the GUZ tomorrow(June 11, 2015).

My fiance wants to wait until after GUZ receives the P3 and sends us information about P4.

It seems like now is the time: 1. to pay the fee with CITIC and then, 2. open USTRAVELDOCS(the account is open) and, 3. then note the fee has been paid. After this, then the GUZ will send packet 4? I know the wait was three months before Tataki 102 sought help, but Im only waiting one day--am I right and am I being impatient?

    Please answer these questions.

    Thank you.

  14. Hello.

The Guangzhou Consulate(GUZ) received our K-1 petition on May 28, 2015. The CEAC said READY then. There

was no Package 3 received or a K-1 interview scheduled. Now, on June 5, 2015, the CEAC says, ADMINISTRATIVE

    PROCESSING(AP).

We are very confused about this.

Any ideas, suggestions or information is appreciated.

    Thank you.

  15. Thank you very much. We will use your information carefully.

He was denied because his ties were "not strong enough". Believe me, with an overbearing family and a job for five years)but no house and no wife and no kids--I get the Chinese culture) he had ties. So, we reapplied.

We will look into Marc Ellis as a possible lawyer

You are so kind to have replied. Thank you for this very good information.

  16. Our second case is at the NVC and we have been given a Case Number. Soon it will be shipped to the Guangzhou Consulate(GUZ). We had an awful lawyer and we had the law firm removed at this stage. We now need to plan for the K-1 interview and wanted to get another lawyer , who is based in Beijing to prepare my fiance for the interview. These are the questions we are seeking answers to:

    1. My fiance mentioned he had a girlfriend at a tourist visa(he was denied) to visit the U.S.A. during our first K-1 visa application(this application was allowed to expired because the GUZ returned it to the NVC for clariifcation with the USCIS). His parents wanted him to marry a girl to fulfill a Chinese custom of family.

How can he explain this "girlfriend" at the interview stage--will explaining this with a letter stating what his parents wanted him to do this be all right?

    2. His second tourist visa application was denied, too. The second K-1 was pending at this time.

    3. He knows about my criminal background and all have been cleared up and expunged. This caused the GUZ to return the first petition because it was sealed(none of the offenses were invalid per USCIS/DOS regulations) back to the USCIS--this caused it to expired(our lawyer miscalcuated many things and this was one of them.) My fiancehas all documents.

    4. Any idea how much a lawyer may ask to prepare for the interview since most of the filing and work and documentation is completed?

    5. We are a mixed race same sex couple. Any has information about the GUZ professionalism possibly to us? They treat straight people horribly, I heard.

We thank everyone who responded respecfully and helpfully.

  17. Then is nothing to discuss here, really. Go to the interview. You are already married, so you still have a wife. Then go to the US; keep everything in France in place, just in case. Talk things out. If things are great and find out that those were false stories, then you will live with your wife. If not, then you can part and divorce. Not going to the interview on innuendo is foolish.

  18. Hello. Please send a copy of all criminal records and the outcome of the court proceedings. Also, if those cases have been expunged or sealed. You may not have a problem with USCIS but you may have a problem at the EMBASSY or CONSULATE stage; they may be curious. They may want to know about those convictions. They may send your petition back to the NVC for clarification with the USCIS on all USC criminal matters, which by the time the USCIS receives the file, your petition will be expired(only valid for four months). If it is too late at the USCIS stage, maybe you can send it to the NVC. Good luck and I hope you are successful.
