I tried to submit case inquiry today, but they are not allow me to do it because they state that my case is still in normal processing time

I need to correct something I said above... the I.N.A. says they have 120 days to reach a decision after the interview; I said that you were past that point, but since you were interviewed in July, you're still about a month away from that limit. The other two applicants, stavroula58 and spring333 are well past this, but daqh still has some time to go. Maybe put in a service inquiry and then schedule an Infopass for right after the 120 days are over?

I'm sorry to hear that you're still waiting, but I hope that after reading Stavroula's experience, you continue to push.

My advice is that you create a case inquiry through your online account right away. I also encourage you to call and ask for a service request to be created and to schedule another infopass after you give them a few weeks to respond to the inquiry.

They are currently in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act which states that they have to give you a decision within 120 days of the interview. At this point you can take them to court; but you probably want to avoid that because it'll be expensive and time consuming. However, saying that they can't do anything is a lie. They can stop working on new cases until they finish your case which they are legally required to work on. I think you should right all this down in a letter and give it to them and ask that they pass it on to your interviewer's supervisor. State bluntly that the interviewer needs to stop working on any case filed after 12/2015 until he works on your case. I would also write to your congressman or senator. No one of these actions may solve the problem, but the more you pester them, the more likely it is that they'll do something. Good luck, and don't back off!

I had an Inforpass appointment 2 weeks ago to ask if i missed any notice and why my case takes so long. They said my case is under supervisor's review and there is tons of cases on his/her desk. They have no idea when he/she make decision on my case. They said if my case is outside of normal processing time (6 months after interview), I may ask lawyer to submit a case inquiry. Finally, they said I can do nothing to speed up my case but waiting! ***so sad***

Daqh, congratulations!! Finally you have the letter.

You're one of our quieter members, but hopefully you'll see this or you're already aware of it.

I came across this and thought it would be helpful; it's a list of judicial naturalization ceremonies in St. Louis for 2016.

USCIS says that almost all ceremonies in St. Louis are judicial, so you'll probably get into one of the ones on the list. They also don't have same day ceremonies.

If you are approved at your mid-July interview, hopefully you'll get into the last July ceremony or one of the three August ceremonies.

Sorry guys, I didn't check to this forum frequently, so I missed your comments.

I went to the interview today. Basically everything was going well until she asked me for leases. Both I and my wife are listed on the leases but only I signed on them (because lessor did not require both of us had to sign). That makes me in trouble. I passed all the tests, but the I.O. request me to send them the leases with signature of both of us. I went home, then send them immediately by mail. Hope to hear something from them soon.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen an inline date change before... has anyone else?

I have seen cases where people are placed inline, get an interview notice, and then show up to the interview and are told that the background check isn't done. Some of these people are sent home and some are interviewed but not approved until the check is complete.

That tells me that there are sometimes mistakes where people are placed inline before they should be. That may have happened to you; you were placed inline shortly after biometrics, but your background check wasn't done. When your check was completed, they went in to place you inline and realized that you were already inline and so the date was updated.

That's just a guess, but that's the only thing I can think of. If this is what happened, then it's certainly better than making it all the way to the interview before you find out there's an issue.

So you can now assume that your background check is done and that you're just waiting for an interview... so the question is, why is it taking so long for an interview? I'd give them a call to see if they'll tell you anything, but if you live close to a field office, you could also make an infopass appointment. You are coming up on the 6 month mark after applying, so why don't you also see if the system will let you create an online Service Request or Case Inquiry about your case. You may want to wait until 6 months from your NOA date... I'm not sure when they start counting.

Finally, thanks for coming back to update us... hopefully you'll get some good news soon.

Look for St. Louis applicants in the tables linked below... your office doesn't seem to be very quick when it comes to scheduling interviews.

Updating daqh's In Line date: USCIS changed my In Line date from 1/29 to 3/14. I have no idea why the date had been changed. I haven't received any text/email about this update.
