Just did the 2nd go around. Did not go the CITIC "agent" route. Applied individually instead. Parents In Law provided their non immigrant intent proof upfront, and was well listened too. However the consular officer focused on our situation in detail. In the end was refused again, 214b. Haha. Maybe we will go another route in the future. For now, lick wounds.

She brought a bank statement showing her money is in China, an invitation letter and her round trip plane tickets. She just spoke with Citic bank, and they offered to submit the application on her behalf. The catch is she deposit a ton of cash into a CD with Citic for 3 months. Anyone ever use Citic as a visa agent?

Yeah. Would like to have her come first as a tourist to get a feel, vice starting immi paperwork off the bat.

She was refused. Said not enough assets to tie her back... Will have to retry.

Hello, My mother in law has a B2 interview later this month in a Beijing. She is retired and doesn’t speak English. What should she expect for the interview? Thanks!
