1/16/14...We met through an online app; I was about to fly back to the States in a couple of days...
4/27/14...Communication started again... went well.
8/6/14...We continue to talk and we agreed to meet in person. I flew to Ecuador to meet him. Stayed with him for 9 days. Was great.
10/6/14...I went back to Ecuador and stayed with him for 3 weeks. Was even better.
11/21/14...Paperwork was signed at lawyer to initiate the K1 visa journey.
1/29/15...This part of the process is very confusing; after many calls to the NVC, we finally got a date from them when they supposedly sent our docs to the embassy. We have never received any kind of notification from the NVC nor the embassy regarding our paperwork. My boyfriend actually had to call the embassy and was told that his paperwork is ready... Our lawyer here does not have an idea where we are because zero notifications have been sent to the lawyer or us.
We are finding out things as we go along... Do not wait for anything, you need to be on top of things to get your interview date going. My boyfriend is gathering all the missing docs like police record, copies of passport, birth certificate and pictures requested, although all these docs were already submitted in original package. Anyway, we will see what happens next week.
02/02/15...We finally got the interview date!!! We are extremely happy for that. It hasn't been easy, but it is here; thank God.
02/20/15... Interview day... not good at all. Consular Officer not happy with all the proof and docs submitted. We were placed under "Administrative Review".
03/05/15... Additional documentation was sent back to the embassy. Let's see what they say now.
03/12/15... We finally show as "Issued" on embassy website.
03/17/15... Fiance got stamped passport and free to fly to LA.
