Will keep this short. Physical address changed, mailing address didn't. 1. i-865 asks for new physical address - great, provided 2. asks for effective date of change of address (for new physical address) - great, provided 3. asks if new mailing address same as new physical address - selected no (technically there is no "new" mailing address but I think no applies anyway) 4. asks for new mailing address and it's "effective date of change of address" - now, the mailing address didn't change, it's same as the old one. So, I am guessing instead of leaving it blank providing the same "effective date of change of address" for mailing address as the change date for new physical address would make most sense? Basically, when comparing to old i-865, it would be saying mailing address changed from SAME_MAIL_ADDR to SAME_MAIL_ADDR on XX/YY/2024. So, shouldn't really matter? Thanks!

Folks, this is where I am at. Hope someone can help. STEP 1 - I filed adress change using myUSCIS (didnt take screenshot of what I entered so that made me nervous). STEP 2 - Filed AR-11 using egov CoA link (https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do) which gives me a printout of filled AR-11 based on my online AR-11 form and a confirmation email. So I can be sure that I entered correct addresses. STEP 3 - Since I am not sure if CoA link is still considered valid by USCIS (it's no longer mentioned on AR-11 webpage - https://www.uscis.gov/ar-11). I am thinking of filing my present address once more by myUSCIS and take screenshots this time. Can there be any harm in filing another address change via myUSCIS? I mean the information (my current address) will be the same. Just want to cover all my bases and be a 100% sure of what I entered.

I saw that too. I think I understand the issue of multiple ways to do this and any one of it satisfies the AR-11 requirement. What is annoying is that, on COA website that you poster the above screenshot from, I think they refer to the myUSCIS way of updating address as "E-COA" but nowhere inside myUSCIS is the term "E-COA" ever used. Is the myUSCIS way considered the E-COA?

I think so as well. Since I am a paranoid person, and like to do multiple checks, one final ask - can you please see the screenshot below and confirm that it clearly says that filing change of address online satisfies the AR-11 requirement? I am all good?

Do you mean you filed AR-11 online and also sent a paper form via mail? I-865 is via mail only.

Thank you. The annoying thing is that this new myuscis address change no longer emails you with the details that you filled in. It also does not let you see what you submitted. Although I am sure what I entered, it is very annoying to not be able to see what I submitted. Where do I mention "as filed online on [date]"? On the form itself or stick a post it note on it?

Since I am forever doubtful of what USCIS can mess up. I am thinking of filling AR11 via paper as well. I filed their new online toll within myuscis, which based on the screenshot below satisfies the AR-11 requirement. But since they no longer have a separate AR-11, I am thinking safe to file on paper as well? or would that cause more confusion?

I submitted selecting that "I do not have a receipt number". Since I dont think I have any "pending" case. Hope that was the right thing to select?

Filling AR-11 online and came across this. Since I am on green card (IR1), do I enter anything here? Do I technically have any application, petition or request filed with USCIS? I haven't applied for N400 or removal of conditions etc. I assume my i-130 for the IR1 which resulted in the green card is considered closed? Is my current green card (i-551) considered an application/petition/request? This is what I get if I select "I do not have a receipt number"

Is there a time limit on i-865 as well (file within 10 days of address change) just like AR-11?

Another question if I may - in my last AR-11 I has marked my new address as "NEW_ADDR" and mailing address as "MAIL_ADDR". I filed, got a confirmation # after filing, and all was good. Later, I noticed I got an email from USCIS saying my address was changed to "MAIL_ADDR". Is there a chance someone messed up recording the info from online AR-11 and put my actual address as MAIL_ADDR (which was provided in the mailing address field?). Do I need to do anything or just leave it be knowing I filed my AR-11 correctly? cc - @pushbrk

I can think of the following requirements if you change your address as a LPR (IR1). Please let me know if any other form is needed? 1) Form AR-11 to be filed (can be done online) by the LPR. This needs to be done within 10 days of the change of address. 2) For i-865 to be filed by mail by sponsor (if also changing address with LPR). Did I get this right? Is there anything else required? cc - @pushbrk
