This visa process is so slow and involves a lot paperwork and waiting. It was definitely a test of our relationship. We met in South Africa and dated for 6 months then he had to head back to the U.S. so we carried on long distance for about a year. I managed to visit him for a 2 month period during that but otherwise we relied totally on Facetime and WhatsApp. It's so good to be married and living in the same place now! The Adjustment of Status process is really slow though...really looking forward to getting work authorization because not being able to work for months on end is frustrating. Grateful to have an amazing husband.
