I just can't get anything planned yet as far as going out of town, as I do not want to miss the schedule.

It's a waiting game for now.

I feel you. I wanted to go back to my country to visit my parents and grandparents, but then i had to wait for the ceremony. My grandma passed away 2 months ago and I never got to see her since I left 5 years ago. This has been the thing that I regret the most in my life.

My oath ceremony will be on 7/8 at Woodson High school in fairfax

Interview was 2/9, after more than 4 months waiting, my case status is finally updated from "Interview has been scheduled" to "oath ceremony"

Fun thing is I had to call them last week and remind them of my case. Or else god knows how longer it would have been.

I had a successful interview on 2/9. My case status was still in "Interview Scheduled" until today 6/16. I had to call them last week to ask what is going on with my case, they said they would answer me within 15 days and now my case status is finally updated to "Oath Ceremony"

More than 120 days of waiting without a clue.

So I already had interview on 2/9 and my case was recommended for approval. But last week I received a letter from my local office Requesting for Evidence. They ask me for stuff to prove the bona fide marriage. They asked for our joint 2015 tax return but I haven't filed yet so I don't have anything to give them. All i sent was a lease for the apartment we are living in and some recent bank statements.

I'm worried. Why did they ask for this now? I thought I already went through everything when I filed my i-751. Do I really have to go through everything again?

I'm also at the Fairfax Field office in VA. Why did it take 3 months from your Fprints to your interview letter??? That's a long time!

I think it's normal time, since the average time for the whole N-400 process is about 6 months. I applied September, done in Feb, which means 5 months.

Some people were lucky somehow and got everything done sooner.

And another reason I think is because of the Winter Break at the end of the year.

Fairfax/DC is a crowded area, maybe that's the ultimate reason.

AS of today my case status is still "Interview has been scheduled", been 10 days since my interview and no update

Hi all, I passed my interview 2 days ago, it's recommended or approval. Now I'm waiting for the final decision and Oath letter. Added my info below to USCIS Dallas

you should just go, the biometrics appointment takes about 30 mins anyway, don't take risk, push your limit a little more. Good luck

Sorry I don't know but these are all the documents I sent and somehow it worked, hope this will help you out. We applied in August. My cover letter listed:

· Copy of my Permanent Resident Card.

· Copy of our Marriage License.

· Copies of my Driver's License and my wife's Driver's License. (showing same address)

· Copies of my Passport and my wife's Passport.

· Copies of my wife's Certificate of Citizenship.

· Copies of my Social Security Card and my wife's Social Security Card.

· Copy of the residential lease for our apartment, covering 2 year period + the coming year

· Copies of our 2012 & 2013 joint U.S. Federal Income Tax Return. (the 1099 form, I didn't even submit the tax transcripts)

· Copy of our July 2014 joint bank account statement (1 month)

· Copy of our July 2014 electric bill for the house. (1 month) with both names

· Copy of our July 2014 gas bill. (1 month) with both names

· Affidavit written by someone on my side

· Affidavit written by someone on my wife's side

· 5 Photos: of me and my wife, taken with my parents and parents in law (at a party), and with the 2 persons who wrote the affidavits (we didn't sent pics of us alone, we sent pics of us taken with friends and family)

I don't have any kind of insurance or car insurance or joint property ( we don't even have a car). But i do have a bank statement that has lots of activities in it. I guess that matters. So out of that list, I only have 6 things as evidence, and a few photos

I'm confused. In the first ever biometrics notice they sent me, my case type was listed as CRI89, does that mean it has already got transfered at first place?

Hi,

My conditional permanent residence was approved in 2012. When I applied at that time, I filed that we had a child together.

Then after my case had already been approved, I found out that the child was not mine and his true biological father filed to the court to have the Father's name on the Birth certificate changed from mine to his.

It was a tough time but me and my wife got through it and we are still living happily as a family up to this moment. I raise the kid like my own child and I love him very much.

But now I'm filing for the i-751 and there is a section "Information bout Your children"

Should I fill out the section with the kid's information and enclose the form with the kid's birth certificate even though my name is not on there?

I'm so confused and worried right now please help.
