Our Story
Erich and I met by chance in an online forum in February of 2013. I'm from Washington state and he's from the Netherlands. To both our surprise and delight, we found we had nearly identical personalities and interests and soon found we could lose hours and hours in conversation with each other. Over the course of that first wonderful year marked by hours worth of text messages and Skype calls, we realized we were falling in love. From May to June 2014, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel to the Netherlands for a magical month together that felt much more like a honeymoon than a first meeting. The pinnacle of a month worth of beautiful memories was becoming engaged in Paris, at the end of an elegant dinner cruise on the Seine,in front of the Eiffel Tower. You gotta hand it to this guy for his timing! Erich and I submitted our application for the K-1 Visa at the beginning of August, 2014 and pray it won't be long before we can marry and begin the adventure of building the rest of our lives together!
