  1. Yes, that is what I start to think as well. Let's hope the consulate in Miami sends my old one back in time. Fortinately I requested it back. But what if not? Oh well....Thanks for the explanation. ☺️
  2. What I don't get is, why they want to see my old expired passport. They have access to the data. And what if I'd say to the consulate that they can shred it after the arrival of my new one? I told them to send it back to me only out of nostalgic reason. 🤷‍♀️ Thank you. Hope you'll hear something soon as well.
  3. Thank you. ☺️ I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Unfortunately they want me to bring my passport to the interview, for documentation of entry into the US. That passport is expired & at the consulate. They send it back with the new one. Now USCIS want it although they have access to the data via their system. I only traveled 2x in 9 years. 🤷‍♀️ Geez, I applied for new passport in February. Now I start getting nervous.
  4. 🥳 My interview was just scheduled for 25 September. Field office Orlando, FL. Processing time got up from 6 to 7 months though. Submitted under general provison, 5 years on June 27th.
  5. Yeah, congratulations! ☺️ So happy for you & to see progress. Yeah, congratulations! ☺️
  6. I had my GC since 2015 due to marriage to USC. I filed under general provision since it does not require a lot of supporting documents. I wasn't even prompted to provide tax transcripts but they might want me to bring it to the interview though. It seems general provision is less complicated due to less docs to provide.
  7. Me too. April, May and July. Unfortunately it's different than i.e. with the spouse visa where everyone hangs out at the NVC etc. Now you can't really figure something out regarding the timeline since we are now on the local office level. Not seen many from Orlando or timelines are not updated 🤷‍♀️ that's my hope otherwise it's very slow although someone had interview and oath from March to June.
  8. I really hoped that we'll get spoiled this time. The I-130 & ROC were painfully slow. Especially since that was 10 years ago I thought USCIS has improved with processing times. *sigh*. Maybe they think I have waited that long, now I don't mind waiting longer 😂 On the positive side I have to admit that I really enjoy being back here at VJ & know I am not alone. 😁
  9. Right? Ugh, seems like Orlando is slow...I see so many other offices handing out already interview dates. 🥺
  10. I'll keep my fingers crossed. My I-751 took 468 days. But that was in 2017 so the processing time might have improved.
  11. I hear you. We weren't spoiled with the other visa process steps, it took over a year to get the spouse visa. I was hoping this process will make up to it & will be a more positive experience. Hope dies last.
  12. They say patience is a virtue.....well, not for me I guess. Checking several times a day until it gets old 🤯 There will be another update on 14th July. Hopefully the estimated time will change then. Didn't change for me after last update.
  13. That is what I exactly thought when I saw USCIS maintenance notice. My hope got a level up. 😁
  14. Right? I log in every other hour in hope it will change to 3 months, or even better having a letter with scheduled interview. Oh, and checking my email junk folder, just in case....I should know better though from my visa journey back in the days....they say patience is a virtue... Not one I have, I guess....🥺
  15. Joining the waiting game. Memories come back as I was here on VJ a lot 10 years ago for my I-130 visa. Submitted N-400 on 06/27 when the new German dual citizenship law took effect. Hopefully I'll be though the process before the gov in Germany change & reverse the law. 🍀 Good luck to everyone here.
