  1. According to the 221g form she was supposed to schedule another interview but then they changed the website and she lost her profile plus now the closest appointment date is in December
  2. Hi everyone, I'm reaching out for guidance on a challenging visa situation my sister is facing. She’s a cancer patient who received life-saving treatment in the U.S. over a year ago. When she initially traveled, she had a 2-years left on her visa and, due to medical reasons, had to stay for over a year. During that time, she applied for and was granted an extension from USCIS. She has since returned to Ghana after being home sick and her visa has expired, and she urgently needs to renew it to continue her follow-up care in the U.S., as her doctors are worried about a potential relapse. When she applied to renew her visa, she was issued a 221(g) refusal letter. Since then, she hasn’t been able to get an appointment for an interview; the available dates are always fully booked. She’s emailed the consulate but has yet to receive a response. I also reached out to my state senator, who kindly followed up with the embassy. Their reply stated that she must directly request an expedited process herself. Has anyone experienced something similar or have any suggestions on how to: Secure an interview appointment when dates seem perpetually booked? Effectively request expedited processing given her urgent medical needs? I’m worried that delays could impact her health significantly, and any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated.
