  1. But if I say "N/A" for having an SSN on the form but when they look at the tax transcript for 2013 and it says "Spouse SSN: 000-00-0000" because it's actually my ITIN, it'll look like I have an SSN right? Even though it's an ITIN the tax transcript doesn't say that it's only an ITIN. I think I'm probably being confusing. Sorry.

No problem. It looks like someone else had a similar issue... My thoughts are that I would write N/A since your spouse does not have a SSN

    See the previous thread:

  2. Soooo, we paid AoS fee on Friday so I assume the AoS will unlock sometime this week. Just so I'm completely prepared, however, I was wondering if anyone who filled out i864EZ could give me some insight as to what they did. I keep seeing people saying they got checklists because they left Part 3 #9 blank "if different from mailing address". Put N/A? Write "Same as mailing address"? I'm wondering what is best. I also wonder why leaving it blank or not matters to the NVC, it's so trivial, and obvious that if it's blank, THE ADDRESSES ARE THE SAME. Silly... I'm stressin' out over here because I want perfection *___* Also, if blank spaces matter to the NVC, what about the last bit of the form? Part 7, no one else will be preparing the form, so should we write N/A in it? Or does it not matter?

I thought i864ez was supposed to be easy. :P

I filed the EZ and wrote "SAME AS MAILING ADDRESS" in that space. I also wrote N/A on the preparer section. Better safe than sorry!

From what I have seen by people who have been successful with the I-864EZ in the past months is to put N/A or write the same address in for Part 3 #9. Part 2 #5 and #6 should also have an N/A unless it applies to you. For the preparer information I would not write anything unless you used a preparer, since I would be afraid to get a checklist for marking something that did not need to be marked. This goes the same for questions #14 and Part 5 #17 also, don't fill them in unless you checked the box for the question.

  3. You can be on the CEAC site where it shows all the data (AOS IV), but if you opened your DS-261, then you likely reset the clock, even if you didn't edit your DS-261.

Even when people accidently re-opened it, it still said completed, they only found out through speaking with a phone agent that it was reset.

Thanks for the help, luckily I did the "accidental click" on the same day I submitted the DS-261.

Just a follow up question, I do not need to re-submit correct? Just leave it alone? Even though the reset happened.

  4. I see it mentioned a lot that you should not re-open the DS-261, but does that include just clicking on the "Completed" URL on the "Summary Information" page (The page that shows the DS-261, DS-260, AOS, and IV)? Not re-submitting the DS-261 or clicking anything else.

The problem is in all my frantic clicking I accidentally clicked it while seeing if my AOS bill was ready. After I clicked it, I just closed the window so that I would not mess anything up.

Currently my DS-261 still shows as Completed

  5. OMG... my hubby and i just realized we forgot to sign the second page of our G-325. We needed a second page for we didn't have enough room on the first for some information. My hubby is starting to panic and wanted to send a signed copy into USCIS. I told him that that would just cause confusion or get lost. Best to wait to see if they even notice or request it? What say you all?

I wouldn't worry. I did the same thing and did not sign the second page. There is no rule or instructions that an additional page must be signed.

Think of it this way. The I-130 application is 2 pages, but only requires a signature on the 2nd page and not the 1st. While this is not the same form, but it shows that there is not any other form in the I-130 packet that requires multiple pages to be signed.

Also the example form on VJ just says to write "Form G-325a" and what you are providing additional info for.

Hope this helps you feel better!
