There is no universal rule to relationships and their success. Our love story began the same as yours, we met on Valentine's Day 2013, filed two months later in April, got K-1 in September, got married in November and expecting a baby since December Fast span within 10 months ha? But we are happy and there was absolutely no problem with USCIS, consulate, or any other institution....Good luck!!!

Please, what ever you do, do not rely on us here on VJ to tell you when the visa expires. Please LOOK at the expiration date on the visa. There are some countries where the visa is valid for 6 months after the medical and others where it is valid 6 months after the interview and others where the fiancé(e) is placed into administrative processing (AP) for so long that the medical expires. The expiration date will be on the visa and that is the date your fiancée has to enter the US by.
    Good luck,
    Dave

Okay... you do realize at fist it sounded like you were plotting to kill your spouse, right? Disturbing. But I do understand wanting to protect your spouse should something happen to you, so... Your questions are a bit mixed up, but I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability
The K1 process typically looks like this: K1 -> get married in the US -> file for (conditional) greed card (AOS) -> removal of conditions 2 years later (ROC) -> citizenship.
1.) Should the petitioner die before they get married or refuse to file AOS the beneficiary has to return to their home country. There's a clause there for abuse but I'm not comfortable touching that with the way you asked the question.
2.) If the divorce or death happen after the beneficiary receives the conditional green card but before ROC they'll need to prove they entered into the marriage in good faith. So, they can still get an unconditional green card, but the burden is on them to prove they didn't get married just to get a green card.
3.) Citizenship. If at that point the beneficiary is still married to the original petitioner, they can file after 3 years of receiving their green card. If they're divorced or widowed, they can file after 5 years of receiving their green card. If at any point in this process it's discovered that the marriage was just to get a green card, they'll be deported. And the burden is on them to prove everything was legit.
    ...please don't kill anyone.
edit: Oh, and of course they can remarry. It would look suspicious if it happens too soon after the divorce/death, or if the person they're marrying is someone from their home country etc.

Not true. It will not affect your petition. As long as you were divorced, you're fine.
You're legally free to marry in any state that doesn't have a 30 day waiting period.

    Visa ISSUED!
So, we are so happy to report that even after were asked to submit my tax return on Feb 13th, we have now been issued the visa I am so glad we included the passport at CITIC bank!
The fact that her passport was returned to my fiancee at the interview was worrisome but in this case it still worked out AND it only took a couple weeks.
Good luck everyone. I just wanted to share this for anyone in the future who goes through something similar even though no one responded.

Yes, provided it's actual marriage and not domestic partnership or whatever else not-quite-marriage-second-order thing. And, of course, that it's legal and valid in that country.

It depends on the country. Some have their act together and some do not. And some won't send it to you; instead it goes direct to the embassy.
Your best bet for info is to google "police clearance <name of country>" Usually you get a website of that police dept with the info you are looking for.

Thank you. It doesn't take that long to get the police clearance, but if your fiance was ever arrested and have a prior conviction, it'll take longer, but shouldn't be more than 12 weeks. If you already have all of your other documents, then you shouldn't worry. I see that you seem to be really nervous from your other posts, so my word of advice is to just relax and breathe There are so many who have gone through the process and documented their journeys so that the people who come after them, like us, will be more knowledgeable and hopefully less stressed out about the situation. If you get nervous, read other people's stories and struggles. If you are unsure of something, ask or do a search on the page and see if anyone has gone through what you're going through. All I'm trying to say is that, don't worry so much because what will happen will happen and stressing about it won't help matters. I don't think you have anything to worry about (I know, easier said than done). Good luck to you

Letter of intent to marry needs to have an original signature by hand, not a scanned copy. You were lucky you got through without the adjudicator noticing your letter was a printed copy.
In this case, since an RFE was received, the letter that is sent in will likely be subject to a bit more scrutiny, so an original should be sent in and not a print-out.
