  1. Yes- that makes perfect sense. Thank you so much!
  2. You go through border control in Canada. They usually look at your ticket and green card when going through.
  3. My Canadian passport has my maiden name on it while my green card has my married name. I started the process to change the name on my green card (timeframes were estimated at 18-24 months). It took less than 3 months and they renewed my green card as well. Now, I would like to travel back to Canada as my dad passed away. I don't want to wait for my Canadian passport to renew. Can I book a one-way trip there with my passport name and the return ticket in my green card name? Or do I book everything in my passport name and carry my marriage certificate with me. Thank you!
  4. File the AOS now, do not wait. Having a baby does not give evidence of a bona fide marriage. Lots of people have babies.
  5. Perfect- that is my current plan. Thank you!
  6. I divorced my ex-husband in 2017. My 10-year green card is in that last name. I am remarried now and would like to change my name to my current husband. I have requested this name change through USCIS but unsure if I can start changing my name on other documents such as social security card, driver's license, etc. I do not want to apply for citizenship at this time which is why I requested the name change to my current green card (I know it will cost more money in the long run and I am OK with that). As long as my passport and green card remain the same, can I change all other documents? Or is it also ok to change my passport knowing they may not match until the updated green card is approved. I would travel with my marriage certificate.
