  1. Yep heard about this, just plain old criminals that will probably be let out very soon.
  2. If not nihilists how does one quantify one lie over another?
  3. The simple fact is Santos is not as much of an outlier as you might think. Just because the Leftist media and the Democrats, who should have exposed his lies months ago, are now having a cow doesn’t mean there aren’t many others in DC just like him flying under the radar. As mentioned earlier, we have a President that has lies repeatedly over the past many years about his accomplishments that prior to 2020 actually were called out in the media forcing him to drop out of earlier races. DC has changed, and now it is acceptable to pad the resume, and use whatever hyperbole one wants. The only way to hold them accountable is to not vote for any incumbents and create de facto term limits to these people. Without that we get massive insider trading, benefits for family, and all out corruption on the surface. If what Santos did leads to others also facing the music, then maybe there is a silver lining.
  4. It is politics, shady people all around. Why should one side practice morality and the other side not?
  5. Has Santos been charged? All this hysterical blathering from the establishment is just laughable considering what they do on a daily basis, but whatever. I do wonder why the Democrat running against him did not make all of this public before election day? Clyde Shavers in Washington was called out for his blatant lies by his own father, and yet the good Democrats in his district ignored it and elected him. Again I ask, what is the point of focusing on Santos while ignoring all the rest of the DC hypocrites? https://lynnwoodtimes.com/2022/11/01/clyde-shavers-221101/
  6. Doesn't look like it. I really doubt McCarthy will be the Speaker unless he is willing to greatly reduce the power of that position which is something that should be done.
  7. So looking at this holistically, reflecting more sunlight away will reduce the amount of solar energy available for the all so important solar generating stations, and cooling the planet may have a more adverse effect such as more people dying from the cold as discussed elsewhere, and growing glaciers. As an aside, I had this discussion with a collogue several years ago and asked him what would be done if the glaciers started to advance toward populated areas. His response is we could seed the glaciers with activated carbon to promote melting.
  8. Biden never responds to any questions of his corrupt dealings. The Democrats in general and many of the GOP DC insiders are beyond corrupt. What else is new?
  9. Kind of like the George Santos stuff. Amazing how that works.
  10. Interesting. So it is not just DeSantis, and Abbott doing this.
  11. My wife also had a pending I751, so I went to the N400 interview with her (we never received a notice about an I751 interview). Anyway, the IO did ask me to come back for a very brief I751 interview, then I was sent back to the waiting area and my wife had her N400 interview on her own. Based on what my wife told me, she was only asked to verify the information on the N400, asked about any additional overseas trips taken since filing, and of course the civics questions. I think there is an English writing sample taken, and the IO is also evaluating the applicant's English speaking proficiency.
  12. Depends on the workload at your specific field office. Some FO's are very fast with N400's and some quite slow. My wife was in a similar situation as you, filed her N400 in early January 2018, had biometrics a few weeks later, then left the country for a 4-5 week trip to visit the family, she got back in early March and got interview notice shortly after her return for April 10, 2018 and had her oath on June 11th so only about 5.5 months from submission (a paper submission) to oath for the Detroit FO, we had estimated at least 12 months, so we were happy.
  13. Good to hear this will not be an issue for you as rescheduling can be a major pain. You can use your time on your trip to study for the civics test. Good Luck!
  14. So the NOA is not posted in the documents section yet?
  15. Did USCIS post the interview letter yet so you know the specific date?
  16. You can try to reschedule, but that tends to create headaches. Did you see the interview notice posted in the documents section of your USCIS account from filing the N400? Personally, I would adjust my schedule to attend the interview rather than try and get USCIS to reschedule, but that is up to you. Good Luck!
  17. Not sure about your friend from Japan, but it sounds like they went through the AOS process which requires the an application for an Employment Authorization Document. With a spousal visa, after you get the visa in 18-24 months and enter the US, you will be authorized to work immediately as a legal permanent resident (LPR).
  18. She can apply for a re-entry permit that will allow her to leave the US for up to 2 years as an LPR.
  19. If you are not in the US at the moment your only options are either an I129F application by your US based fiancé, or get married and have your USC spouse file the I130 for an eventual spousal visa per the link @Mike E provided. It is time for both you and your fiancé to become A-Students of the immigration process and VJ has many resources in the Guides. As an aside, the spousal visa is recommended as it is far superior, but either the fiancé visa (K1) or spousal visa (CR1/IR1) will take a lot of time, but you have an advantage as being from an ESTA country, you can come and visit during the process based on the discretion of the CBP officers. Good Luck!
  20. I agree with many of the others. Seems like a rushed marriage where one party had second thoughts almost immediately after the ceremony. Whether this was for an immigration benefit or not, it would seem USCIS may look at it this way.
