  1. Hmm, so the poverty rate has been going down or at least staying flat for 13 years, but it is all about the end of Covid giveaways. Poverty rate increases for first time since 2010 President Biden attributed the sharp rise in poverty last year to the end of pandemic-era child tax credit (CTC) expansion. “Today’s Census report shows the dire consequences of congressional Republicans’ refusal to extend the enhanced Child Tax Credit, even as they advance costly corporate tax cuts,” he said in a statement on Tuesday. “We cut child poverty by nearly half to record lows for all children in this nation largely by expanding the Child Tax Credit. Last year, Congressional Republicans insisted on raising taxes on families with children.” https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/taxes/poverty-rate-increases-for-first-time-since-2010/ar-AA1gBYAg
  2. Why should there be secrets in grand jury proceedings? Should the state be able to hide the dealings of their prosecutors?
  3. Get all of them. I think electronic copies would work, but you already have things in motion to get certified copies. Good Luck!
  4. Interesting story, the wife and I were in Yellowstone a few years ago. We had just parked the car at a trailhead, and were preparing ourselves for a hike. We were at the back of the vehicle when my wife nudged me and I saw a bison walking toward us in the parking lot. I was scrambling for the bear spray, but the bison stayed near the front of the vehicle and kept walking toward other vehicles. It was scary since we were so close, but I had no plans to get any closer. My wife did snap a pic as it walked away.
  5. Nate is always spot on, and this is no exception. Progress…please ignore the unintended consequences and keep voting Democrat.
  6. The joint sponsor filling out the I864 has to provide a copy of the complete tax return or an IRS transcript (preferred by many consulates). If that tax return is a joint return with a spouse that is also filling out an I864a, it would also include the income information of the spouse.
  7. If the divorce is finalized, you are free to marry.
  8. I don’t think there will be any issues as once your spouse enters they will be a GC holder.
  9. It is not clear from your post, are you both living in Mexico?
  10. Seems there were some laughing at the US President. Not surprising. https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2023/09/19/biden-slurs-his-way-thru-un-speech-fighting-the-teleprompter-and-forgetting-what-century-were-in-n2163990
  11. I believe Old Petulant Corrupt Joe was pretty close to some KKK members and segregationists? So I guess the sub-headline is correct, but Greene is not the President, so who cares except for her constituents.
  12. Will the I130(s) even be processed if they have not returned their current GCs via I407(s)?
  13. I agree with this as well. Try a different US consulate in Europe. Here is another helpful DCF process thread.
  14. Congratulations!
  15. Kind of a tough situation. No one here can recommend what you are suggesting as that is fraud. Have you looked at a third country where she can stay until an I130 is processed?
  16. Why won't the Democrats own this? Trump Is Right. Democrats Support No Limits On Abortion It is true that late-term abortions make up about 1 percent of the total, which is to say around 10,000 viable humans are being aborted at 21 weeks or older each year every year. Well, “only” 10,000, apparently. And if Democrats aren’t “talking about that” then how is it that “all-trimester” abortion clinics are operating in Maryland and elsewhere? Why is Warren Hern as busy as ever in his Boulder chop shop — where he admits to performing late-term abortions on perfectly healthy women and babies? As we know, most late-term abortions are, like others, not induced in a “state of crisis” but used as a form of birth control. Hern operates in Colorado, where the abortion of viable unborn children is legal, for any reason, until crowning. The law goes on to praise the “social, moral, and economic benefits” of having abortions. It does not even mention viability, like Casey and Roe did, but rather strips the baby of any “independent or derivative rights under the laws of the state” at any time during the pregnancy. https://thefederalist.com/2023/09/18/trump-is-right-democrats-support-no-limits-on-abortion/
  17. Hmm, a federal politicized government agency is begging for public trust? Good Luck! I guess she is unaware of the fact that Covid is not really a thing anymore (see Covid jab thread). I do wonder how much stock she owns in the pharmaceutical companies. The CDC wants your trust back: It’ll ‘take time to rebuild.’ Her trust tour, which has several more stops in the works, comes as the Biden administration begins its latest Covid-19 vaccine push and at a time when her agency faces scrutiny over its decisions and messaging during the pandemic. She is contending with a public that has, for the most part, moved beyond Covid and growing vaccine skepticism fueled by some presidential candidates and public health officials. Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo on Wednesday warned healthy adults under the age of 65 against taking the newly approved Covid-19 vaccine. Cohen called efforts to undercut vaccine uptake “unfounded and, frankly, dangerous.” “I want to make sure folks know, particularly in Florida, that vaccination remains a safe way in terms of protecting against severe disease, hospitalization and death,” she said. “It’s important for Americans to get these shots.” https://www.politico.com/news/2023/09/16/cdc-director-public-trust-00116348
  18. About right. Pundits disappointed that COVID now indistinguishable from colds and allergies As the CDC and the public health establishment keep pushing dire warnings out to the public and begging people to get vaccinated, the actual disease has done what almost all respiratory diseases do: become less dangerous. That’s not due to some version of compassion on the part of the virus. There is no “Oops, my bad” thinking on the part of this nasty little strain of RNA or DNA. It’s just evolution at work. Some of that evolution is found in our immune system, and some in the virus itself. Viruses that kill large numbers of their hosts are less fit than those that don’t, and Darwin himself will tell you that evolution tends toward the fitter varieties of organisms (or kinda sorta organisms, in the case of viruses). If a virus keeps killing off its hosts then it won’t spread well. This is why Ebola outbreaks don’t go very far, even in places with horrible healthcare systems. It kills too quickly to spread far and wide. There is an animal reservoir out there where the virus doesn’t kill at all, and that is the ideal host for it. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2023/09/19/pundits-disappointed-that-covid-now-indistinguishable-from-colds-and-allergies-n578948
  19. When did you submit the I130 to USCIS? What are her other options? Does she have residency in the European country where you are currently living? What are your options? Is it possible to delay the job move?
  20. Interesting how many gaslighted leftist "progressives" are fine with Old Corrupt, Petulant Joe directing his DOJ to go after his political advesaries. Biden Admin’s Latest Political Target: Christopher Rufo Biden’s Education and Justice departments have launched investigations into New College of Florida and Rufo—to which Rufo links in a Substack post, portions of which he also posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. The Education Department said it decided to launch the investigation after a complaint from unnamed “students, faculty and staff” who allege that Rufo and the other trustees violated civil rights law. The agency did so, according to a letter to New College’s interim president, because the students’ complaint contained a litany of alleged violations of civil rights law. The complaint, included in the Education Department’s letter, accuses the college’s board of such transgressions as removing signs that said “gender neutral” from bathrooms; lowering academic standards so the college could admit more men, and “misgendering” the former head of the college’s department of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Yoleidy Rosario-Hernandez (whom the board fired) when Rufo referred to her as “she” instead of her chosen personal pronouns of ze and zir. https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/09/18/biden-admins-latest-political-target-christopher-rufo/
  21. Ahh, the creepy governor from CA is getting involved. California lawmakers approved a resolution for Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) proposed 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution on Thursday. Newsom’s amendment would restrict the Second Amendment by raising the minimum purchase age for all guns to 21, institute a waiting period on firearm purchases, ban firearms which Democrats label “assault weapons,” and institute universal background checks, Breitbart News reported. California already has all four of the gun controls and myriad others. On June 5, 2022, Breitbart News pointed out California was No. 1 in gun control and, in 2021, No. 1 in “active shooter incidents” as well. https://www.breitbart.com/2nd-amendment/2023/09/18/ca-lawmakers-approve-resolution-newsoms-gun-control-amendment/
  22. Since Jim Acosta is one of the most petulant Leftist media activists, this probably belongs here. CNN Gets Roasted for Absurd Chyron Warning Constitution Is 'Outdated, Puts Democracy at Risk' The word came on “Newsroom,” anchored by former CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta. Acosta interviewed two Harvard professors of government who are of the opinion that the grand system of compromise, checks and balances devised by the Founders in Philadelphia in 1787 is as obsolete as the quill pens they used to write it down. Accompanying the interview was a chyron at the bottom of the screen declaring (in all caps): “Scholars Warn Outdated Constitution Has Put Democracy At Risk.” https://ijr.com/cnn-gets-roasted-absurd-chyron-warning-constitution-outdated-puts-democracy-risk/
  23. I guess it is Blue States as well. Illinois becomes first state in nation to eliminate cash bail: Here’s how it will work People charged with an offense lower than a Class A misdemeanor — littering, some speeding charges and possession of marijuana over the legal limit — will likely be released with a citation and a court date without having to be processed at a police station. In these cases, people usually face no more than six months in prison if convicted and often are released on probation without any incarceration. However, law enforcement agencies will still be given discretion in certain cases. For example, if a person continues to commit the offense after being cited, they can be taken into custody and held until they appear before a judge, which must occur within 24 hours. https://chicago.suntimes.com/2023/9/18/23878427/illinois-becomes-first-state-in-nation-today-to-eliminate-cash-bail-heres-how-it-will-work
  24. Not to worry, Old Joe Biden will open the US for more with his Slow, Steady, Corrupt, and Petulant policies.
