  1. Interesting, as to our experience with Delta, except for the first time flying from PEK to DTW, my wife never had any other issues when she was on the EL.
  2. Wow, Delta must have done something really bad. I have a hated airline as well...Air Canada with American and United close- behind.
  3. Doesn't really matter though as the SIL has no standing to petition for a niece. Regardless, others have laid out the timing involved, and it is lengthy. My wife recently (2 years ago) petitioned for my step-son who is a married adult, so we are in for a long wait. Good Luck!
  4. Other than your SIL's potential as a joint sponsor, how would se be involved?
  5. I believe the immigrants are responsible for providing their own interpreters for interviews.
  6. I think in the end, anyone that is committing fraud will simply adapt to any changes that come about. How many stories to we hear from a USC that looks like they were victims of a scam and now want some form of revenge when they actually participated in it by either providing the marriage bonafides to NVC/Consulates or to USCIS depending on if it was a spousal visa or AOS. There is nothing perfect out there, but what is clear is that the ROC is simply a cash grab by USCIS and is not really doing anything to end the potential for sham marriages for immigration purposes.
  7. That is interesting. My wife's only questions when traveling with her expired GC and EL was when traveling from PEK to DTW via Delta. The local check-in clerk was not familiar with the EL and asked to keep it. Luckily we had a few copies with us, and gave her one of those, and my wife was allowed to proceed. This is one of the reasons I always recommend those traveling on the EL make a few copies although I have not heard of anyone else being asked to hand over the letter at check-in. It is interesting, the CBP link you provided referenced the 18 month EL, back in March of 2021, I guess this needs to be updated. To the OP, using the US CBP Carrier guide is always a good idea. We downloaded a copy of the PDF on our phones just in case. Airlines bringing folks to the US should be following this to a tee. B. U.S. RESIDENTS — must provide one of the following: • Permanent Resident Card, Form I-551 • Expired Conditional Resident Card, Form I-551 accompanied by Form I-797, Notice of Action indicating the card validity is extended https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2019-Mar/2019 Carrier Information Guide - ENGLISH.pdf
  8. Well, at least you won't need to worry about doing the Removal of Conditions. As others have said, send in the I485 ASAP along with the I131/I765 as there is a proposed fee increase coming that will really drive up the cost. Also, expect a few questions related to why you waited, but considering you are still married 13 years, you should be fine. Good Luck!
  9. And as @Mike Epointed out make the ROC divorce waiver go away, or at least make it much harder.
  10. The H-D CEO sounds like he is just playing the ESG game by essentially saying this will be a very long-term thing.
  11. I thought he already offered a settlement to the family of the woman he killed. I think there is a couple of other suits, but not sure where those are.
  12. Have they searched the beach house yet, or Hunter’s or Jim’s residence? It seems a Biden trait to leave important stuff just laying around (Hunter’s laptop, Ashley’s diary, Old Joe’s classified documents….).
  13. It may have something to do with him also being one of the producers on the film.
  14. ROC is simply a pain. At this point, I would wait, then if you don’t hear anything within 30 days of your extension letter expiring and you have the need of an ADIT stamp to show your LPR status (changing jobs, traveling internationally, etc.), you can attempt to get one. Beyond that, as with most things with USCIS, patience is a virtue. Good Luck!
  15. Based on anecdotal stories here on VJ, the last ones I saw were due to trying to reschedule an interview.
  16. USCIS needs their cash cow. The ROC has been an absolute joke since late 2016 which was when my wife filed. Back then the extension letter was only 12 months, then I think about two years later it was changed to 18 months, then 24 and now 36. Add that to the planned fee increase to $1195 it seems USCIS will do everything they can to put couples into the position of needing to file for ROC, and then sit on those applications.
  17. Assuming you are adjusting status, you really do not have a status yet, you are not an LPR, but you do have authorized stay. Good Luck!
  18. It is amazing how unfriendly and inefficient USCIS is to paying customers.
  19. Samsung is horrible, and even one of our friendly non-simian Mods can attest.
  20. Hey, that is Reverend Al to the likes of us. He has been very successful building up his new religion, and he can go around the world spewing his CO2 without criticism.
  21. I don't disagree, but we all know the way Presidents and Governors are treated. In this case they are D'd if they go and D'd if they don't go.
  22. He has brought out the self-serving line about if he thought he was in any way responsible, he would kill himself, so he must be completely innocent.
