  1. Read through some of her posts. She is definitely fully gaslighted.
  2. Hmm, so legacy and privileged admissions are bad, except…. The interesting thing is this sort of reads like the entire college admissions scandal, didn’t some self-important people serve time over that? Joe Biden Opposes ‘Privilege’ In Admissions Despite Reportedly Getting Granddaughter Into Ivy League School Maisy Biden texted her father, Hunter Biden, on October 31, 2018, about her early application to UPenn. “I applied early decision to Penn today!!” she wrote. Over the following months, Joe and Hunter Biden worked to get Maisy into the school by meeting with Gutmann directly. “I’m going to try to see Pres GUTMANN tomorrow,” Joe Biden texted Hunter on December 13, 2018. Soon after, Joe Biden texted his son saying that he “had a great talk with Gutmann” and “Maisy still in the game for regular acceptance. But must do well in class this period. It’s real.” Hunter Biden reportedly told his daughter the positive news and suggested she show interest in playing lacrosse at the school. “I also think it would help if you had lax coach talk to their lax coach,” he said. https://dailycaller.com/2023/07/03/joe-biden-granddaughter-upenn-opposes-privilege-admissions/
  3. You mean like Biden bragging about pressuring, some may say extorting, Ukraine to fire a specific prosecutor to aide his son’s influence and maintain his 10%?
  4. I suspect this story will go away quite fast, it doesn’t quite fit the narrative being pushed despite Krasner’s preaching. Has anyone looked into how many illegal gun charges were dropped by his office.
  5. if you are planning on doing the AOS while she is currently in the US, you can file them together, or add the I485 later while she is here. If she plans to go back, the I485 will not come into play. No.
  6. And the socialist failure cycle continues.
  7. The biggest thing that has not been completely fleshed out yet, is the insurance costs of EVs. With solid state batteries, it will become even more so as one thing no one ever talks about is how durable the batteries are to vibration and shocks. If an expensive EV needs to be totaled because the battery may be damaged from a minor impact, or the solid electrolyte breaks down given normal road vibrations, it will cost insurance companies a lot. EVs are still very much in the Early Adopter phase, and there is still a lot to learn about the full impacts of their adoption.
  8. You are right, the story reads like a Hollywood script, the question you do not want to learn, is who wrote it.
  9. I would not worry too much about it, but I would make sure your spouse is very well prepared with the backstory in case the CO decides to delve into the subject. Good Luck!
  10. Everything is racist in the eyes of the Left, how else would they keep their gaslighted identity politics group in line.
  11. It has nothing to do with National Security. Heck everything created in the DC establishment is listed as a national security item, when these departments and bureaus are supposed to be accountable to the people’s representatives, but when these bureaucrats do go in front of Congress all we get are lies. Look at the way the Hunter and by extension, the Biden investigation has been handled. All this Trump stuff is just a Democrat/Deep State strategy as if Trump were to gain the Presidency again, it may upset their Apple cart.
  12. I think there were there much more playful with classified information prior to Trump. Biden and Hillary come to mind. Heck, Old Corrupt Joe spread them around to several locations going back from his time as a Senator, and VeeP, where many others had access. And yet the establishment is only going after Trump. How do you square that?
  13. What I do not understand is the three Leftist justices voted in favor of religious rights on the postal worker case released yesterday, but voted against this one released today. Supreme Court rules in favor of Colorado graphic designer who refused to create same-sex wedding websites The U.S. Supreme Court held that a Colorado graphic designer who wants to make wedding websites does not have to create them for same-sex marriages, in a landmark decision that pit the interests of LGBTQ non-discrimination against First Amendment freedom. In a 6-3 decision issued Friday, the high court ruled in favor of artist Lorie Smith, who sued the state over its anti-discrimination law that prohibited businesses providing sales or other accommodations to the public from denying service based on a customer's sexual orientation. Justice Neil Gorsuch authored the majority opinion, which said that, "In this case, Colorado seeks to force an individual to speak in ways that align with its views but defy her conscience about a matter of major significance." https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/supreme-court-rules-in-favor-of-colorado-graphic-designer-who-refused-to-create-same-sex-wedding-websites/ar-AA1dg4M7
  14. Interesting study. I wonder why. Risk of Problem Drinking Rises Among Thirty-Something Women This growing trend in women who are delaying or foregoing parenting is contributing to an increase in women at highest risk for excessive alcohol use, according to a new study led by Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) and Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Katherine Keyes, professor of Epidemiology at Columbia Public Health, is senior author of the study. Published in the journal Addiction(link is external and opens in a new window), the study found that women in their mid-30s, as well as women who have not had children by age 35, are the subgroups of women at highest risk of binge drinking and having alcohol use disorder (AUD) symptoms. The study is the first to consider the impact of delayed parenting on excessive alcohol use among newer generations of middle-aged women. The findings underscore the need to address excessive drinking among all women, but particularly among this expanding group of women without children. “Because more women are delaying having children in the U.S., a growing proportion of women fall into the highest risk group,” says study lead author Rachel Sayko Adams, research associate professor of health law, policy & management at BUSPH. “This growing prevalence of heavy drinking is exacerbated given that excessive alcohol use is increasing overall for middle-aged women in more recent cohorts. Therefore, at-risk alcohol use and consequences are expected to continue increasing in future years, if not addressed.” https://www.publichealth.columbia.edu/news/risk-problem-drinking-rises-among-thirty-something-women
  15. Finally some common sense. What is even more interesting is the minority affirms their racist ideals. Supreme Court rejects affirmative action in ruling on universities using race in admissions decisions The U.S. Supreme Court handed down a major ruling on affirmative action Tuesday, rejecting the use of race as a factor in college admissions as a violation of the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause. Many universities have argued that race-based admissions ensures that student bodies remain diverse, while critics such as the plaintiffs in the cases argue the policy discriminates against many qualified students based on race. Students for Fair Admissions, a student activist group, brought cases against both Harvard and University of North Carolina. The group initially sued Harvard College in 2014 for violating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which "prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity that receives Federal funds or other Federal financial assistance." https://www.foxnews.com/politics/supreme-court-rejects-affirmative-action-ruling-universities-using-race-admissions-decisions
  16. Just wondering if anyone has any recent experience traveling to Russia via Helsinki to St. Petersburg? Working on planning the wife's trip coming up and are leaning toward Dubai to Novosibirsk, but she talked to someone that said Helsinki to St. Petersburg is an option by train or bus. Thanks.
  17. This AI will most likely be used for the next election. It will get interesting. AI clones teen girl’s voice in $1M kidnapping scam: ‘I’ve got your daughter’ It was a dead “ringer” for her daughter. Artificial intelligence has taken phone scams to a frightening new level. An Arizona mom claims that scammers used AI to clone her daughter’s voice so they could demand a 1$ million dollar ransom from her as part of a terrifying new voice scheme. “I never doubted for one second it was her,” distraught mother Jennifer DeStefano told WKYT while recalling the bone-chilling incident. “That’s the freaky part that really got me to my core.” This bombshell comes amid a rise in “caller ID spoofing” schemes, in which scammers claim they’ve taken the recipient’s relative hostage and will harm them if they aren’t paid a specified amount of money. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/ai-clones-teen-girl-s-voice-in-1m-kidnapping-scam-i-ve-got-your-daughter/ar-AA19LWPF
  18. If the shoe fits. Twitter criticized after labeling NPR as ‘state-affiliated media’ (NewsNation) — NPR president and CEO John Lansing fired back at Twitter on Wednesday morning after the social media platform put a label on the news organization’s profile calling it “state-affiliated media.” NewsNation partner The Hill reports this designation is one Twitter uses for state news agencies such as Russia’s TASS and China’s Xinhua. “NPR and our Member stations are supported by millions of listeners who depend on us for the independent, fact-based journalism we provide,” Lansing wrote in a statement. “NPR stands for freedom of speech and holding the powerful accountable. It is unacceptable for Twitter to label us this way. A vigorous, vibrant free press is essential to the health of our democracy.” https://www.newsnationnow.com/entertainment-news/media/twitter-npr-state-affiliated-media-ceo-responds/
  19. More from the war on CH4. And yes, this agency is headed by the son of the former top manager of the AFL-CFO. U.S. safety agency to consider ban on gas stoves amid health fears A federal agency says a ban on gas stoves is on the table amid rising concern about harmful indoor air pollutants emitted by the appliances. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission plans to take action to address the pollution, which can cause health and respiratory problems. “This is a hidden hazard,” Richard Trumka Jr., an agency commissioner, said in an interview. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.” https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2023-01-09/us-safety-agency-considers-gas-stove-ban?expandComments=true
  20. Does CA have the money for this? I also wonder how this will be proven as couldn’t a recent immigrant from Africa show they have distant relatives that were brought to the US a slaves way back in time. California Reparations Could See Newsom Give Black Americans $223k Each The Times reported that, just based on housing discrimination between 1933 and 1977, $569 billion in reparations would need to be paid to African Americans in California–amounting to $223,000 per person. The total amount of reparations suggested, the largest in history, will likely be much higher than that. https://www.newsweek.com/california-reparations-could-see-newsom-give-black-americans-223k-1764114
  21. Hmm, seems somewhat inevitable with socialized medicine. Some Canadian Health Care Patients Say They're Being Encouraged To Just Die Already Unfortunately, the philosophical argument for the right to die can also end up colliding with troubling decisions in a country where the government funds and controls access to healthcare. That is reportedly happening in Canada, where some citizens say health officials are actively encouraging people with disabilities and other chronic medical issues to consider suicide. According to the Associated Press, hospitals are raising the possibility of assisted suicide with patients who hadn't asked about it. These conversations are not motivated by quality of life but health care costs. The A.P. notes that Belgium and the Australian state of Victoria, which allow physician-assisted suicide, tell medical professionals not to bring up euthanasia so that it's not seen as medical advice. In other words, make sure it's the patient's idea. This is not the case in Canada, where health care workers are trained to inform patients that they can choose euthanasia if they have a qualifying condition. This has led to some patients, particularly those with disabilities but not necessarily fatal illnesses, having some unpleasant conversations. One provided a recording to the Associated Press: https://reason.com/2022/09/07/some-canadian-health-care-patients-say-theyre-being-encouraged-to-just-die-already/
