It is getting tougher and tougher for the BB to write stories. -
More war on agriculture. I guess our elite leaders do not really care. French Farmers Stage Mass Tractor Protest in Paris Against EU Green Diktats The protest comes amid a wider movement across Europe against onerous regulations imposed from Brussels upon farmers throughout the EU. Last summer, farmers in The Netherlands staged months of protests and actions in response to the globalist government of PM Mark Rutte imposing EU nitrogen emissions standards on farms near supposedly environmentally sensitive areas. The plans, which have yet to come into effect, could see upwards of 3,000 privately-owned farms seized or shut down by the government, despite the widespread backlash against the scheme. https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2023/02/09/french-farmers-stage-mass-tractor-protest-in-paris-against-eu-green-diktats/

We hear this one from the pro-vaccinators a lot. I believe they label it Long-Covid, but no one seems to know what that actually means. Perhaps, if there were evidence that the risks to the heart in younger people are greater from COVID than from the vaccine it might be plausible that both the vaccine and the virus are each responsible for some proportion of this–but there is little evidence to supports this either because the CDC is careful to not stratify by age the myocarditis numbers. They lump 88-year-olds in with young men, who respond differently to the vaccine and get myocarditis at different rates. Tough to do with so many activists out there calling themselves journalists.

Reminds me of a trip to Boston. When leaving, took a taxi from the hotel to the airport, when we got to Logan, the taxi driver said he could not open the trunk to get my bags out (the key core was missing). Now this was 1991, and me being an engineer, I was very doubtful as vehicles back then without a key core in the trunk could easily be popped open. He told me he would head back to the garage and forward my bags to me. I flatly refused and actually had to stand in front of the taxi to keep him from leaving, he got his dispatcher on the radio and he tried to convince me I could trust everything would be alright. Eventually and airport police officer noticed what was happening and came up. At that point the driver produced an extra large flathead screwdriver and popped the truck. I do wonder now (I don't remember the name), if this driver was named Brinton.

INTERVIEW FRIDAY HELP PLEASE
Dashinka replied to adipo21's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
I would bring evidence of your latest trip as the IO will ask you about trips made outside of the US since you applied. Beyond that, take what is on the list, most likely the IO will not ask to see any of it, but it is better to have it with you. Lastly, the 2008 test is the proper test. Good Luck! -
If you look at the details of the K1 visa, the person who enters with one does have status for 90 days, is legally allowed to apply for employment authorization, and can get an SSN. Now that status is temporary, only good for 90 days, so in reality it is not practical to apply for an EAD, but they can get the SSN.

Hmm, predictable? I guess the good people of AZ voted for it. Education freedom for all students is under attack in Arizona Now that she’s been sworn in as Arizona’s new governor, Hobbs is asking the legislature to repeal the program, proposing to redirect the money back to the state’s sclerotic public school system. Lawmakers should reject this request out of hand for the sake of Arizona’s children, especially black and brown children. It’s difficult to overstate the significance of Arizona's universal voucher program, which provides genuine educational choice to well over 1 million students across the state. This is particularly important in Arizona, which by many measures ranks dead last in public education. Predictably, educational outcomes are lowest for minority students. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/education-freedom-for-all-students-is-under-attack-in-arizona/ar-AA17afiR

Your fiancé can apply prior to you guys getting married, but if you are getting married very soon, you can do it after. In our case my then fiancé arrived, we married two weeks later, and she applied for a SSN the next week. I don't remember the SSA even looking at our marriage certificate as they will only issue the card based on the foreign passport information.

Most will recommend getting an SSN soon after arrival on a K1. I haven't been to an SSA office lately, so am not certain of the appointment protocols, but I would schedule an appointment for 2-3 days after arrival. If the clerks at the SSA give you any trouble, ask for a supervisor as a person that enters the US on a K1 visa is allowed to apply for a SSN. That being said, it is not a requirement to have a SSN for marrying or for filing the AOS, but having one makes many things in a marriage easier such as opening or adding someone to a joint bank account, getting a state DL or ID, etc. Since the k1 only allows for a 90 day authorized stay, it is best to apply for the SSN soon after arrival as if one has less than 3-4 weeks (might be 2, I don't remember) left on their authorized stay, the SSA will do nothing and you will have to wait for an EAD/AP card or the GC. Lastly, there is no cost for a SSN application. Good Luck!

Gotta love the public schools in Baltimore. Where ARE things going wrong? Damning report finds there are 23 public schools in Baltimore where NONE of the children understand basic math - as parents blame Dem-led city's 'fraud and corruption' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11747209/Report-finds-23-public-schools-Baltimore-NONE-children-understand-basic-math.html
