  1. It is definitely. IMO, this will only make Trump much more popular which is the plan of the Democrats as they truly want him on the ballot. Their only issue is Biden, and his ability to actually win. That is assuming the Dems don’t replace him at their convention. But with whom?
  2. I agree, the IO will review the N400 application with you and allow for corrections. Good Luck!
  3. Certain women are empowered such as those that have a Y chromosome.
  4. Quite a few moving parts to this. Do you and your wife plan to stay in India for 2-3 years? This plan will work for the two of you, but your step-daughter will have a much more difficult time. Normally, I would agree that doing the I407 is the best route for couples planning to reside outside the U.S. for an extended period of time, and then if and when a decision is made to repatriate, a new I130 can be submitted, and the foreign spouse can go through a new visa process instead of trying to maintain their LPR status through re-entry permits or the SB1. However, with your step-daughter it is another story. She already has her LPR status, and with her plans to come to the U.S. for school in 2-3 years it is probably better for her to try and maintain her LPR status through re-entry permits to avoid the pitfalls of trying to get a non-immigrant student visa, or the fairly long time period it would take for her to get a new F1 or F3 family based visa if she wants to repatriate to the U.S. permanently (8-10 years for F1, 14-16 years for an F3). No one can predict what a CO will do with a student visa application in 2-3 years, but convincing the CO that there is no immigration intent is a high bar. In the end, it is up to you as a family to decide. Good Luck!
  5. Personally, I would just keep it for yourself and bring it to the interview in case any questions are asked. You can add a short explanation of your current relationship with your foreign spouse with the AOS package, but I would keep your full relationship history for an interview. Also make sure you review that with your current spouse on the off chance you get a Stokes interview, and they separate you. Good Luck!
  6. Sounds like the CO is saying you will need an I601 waiver request to deal with the previous counterfeit document. All is not lost since the CO stated a waiver is possible (refused does not mean denied or revoked), but it will take more time. I suggest researching the I601 waiver form, most folks employ an immigration attorney for this, but I have heard of folks doing it by themselves. Good Luck! https://www.uscis.gov/i-601 https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/how-prepare-form-i-601-request-waiver-inadmissibility.html
  7. So when will the “Just Stop Oil” folks switch to “Just Stop Breathing/Farting”? The switch is coming I suspect. UK researchers raise alarm that humans are contributing to 'global warming' — by breathing Climate alarmists prone to hyperventilating over the weather might be a part of the supposed problem they otherwise seek to remedy with statist interventions, unreliable energy alternatives, and a healthy diet of bugs, according to a new government-funded study out of Britain. Scientists at the U.K. Center for Ecology and Hydrology have raised the alarm that human breathing is contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, urging "caution in the assumption that emissions from humans are negligible." https://www.theblaze.com/news/uk-researchers-raise-alarm-that-humans-are-contributing-to-global-warming-by-breathing
  8. Try putting in your Zipcode here to see if it shows the correct field office. https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices If you never presented your passport to enter another country, I would not count it. Read the required and interview evidence requested in the N400 instructions starting on page 10. I assume you are filing from in the U.S., so you only need a copy of the GC and marriage certificate to actually file. If filing online, you can upload the interview required evidence as well. Good Luck! https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/n-400instr.pdf
  9. I agree, there may be more scrutiny, but I feel enough time has passed, and you successfully naturalized that this scrutiny may not be too bad. Make sure you keep a detailed timeline of your relationship(s) to show this was not the case of getting your LPR/USC status, and immediately turned around to sponsor a foreign spouse. Good Luck!
  10. I agree, thanks for sharing the experience. We seem to be seeing more DCF questions now and this may be very helpful. Good Luck!
  11. If a new employer would not accept the expired GC and I797 extension letter as valid proof of LPR status as shown in things like the CBP Carrier Guide. One could always get an ADIT stamp for valid proof of LPR status. I don’t frequent Reddit, but this just seems like someone’s opinion. Maybe they had a difficult employer that needed education, or something like that. Regardless, there are ways an LPR going through ROC with an expired GC to show proof of LPR status.
  12. Protected class? He certainly seems to be playing the part. Fired Democrat senator's aide, 24, who made gay sex tape in Senate could face CRIMINAL charges after X-rated clip swept the internet: Is slammed for implying that HE'S the victim https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12872333/Fired-Democrat-senator-aide-gay-sex-tape-criminal-charges.html
  13. I am not aware of a specific naming convention. If you can save the file on your computer as a PDF with a particular name you should be fine uploading them as the files will be attached to a specific case. Good Luck!
  14. I completely agree with with @nastra30. A student visa will definitely be tough task in the future as it is treated much the same at the interview stage as a B2. It seems her options are to file the I751, and if possibe come back to the U.S. and submit the I131 and stay for the biometrics. The other option is to file the I407, try for a student visa if that comes up, and if she does want to come back to the U.S. as an LPR it will be a very long wait. Good Luck!
  15. I agree with @nastra30. I would do whatever to keep her LPR status if she plans to stay in the U.S. via a re-entry permit(s) or SB-1 although I think SB-1 would be a long-shot. If she is planning on staying in the U.S. getting an immigrant visa after she finishes school, assuming she gave up her LPR status will be a long wait. Good Luck!
  16. So to me this is much more general than just the Hamas terror attacks into Israel (if mods feel otherwise, feel free to put this in the Israel thread). It is certainly true, people usually show their true colors. A great example is the racist attitudes of Old Corrupt Joe which shine through all the time. When People Tell You Who They Are, Believe Them On the one hand I think: surely this will be sufficient. Surely this amount of blood will be enough to shake the world awake. Surely no one can equivocate or justify this. As my friend Sarah Haider wrote, “How easy is it to simply condemn targeted violence against civilians? Can there be a lower bar?” And yet, across the world, people have sunk below it. Here you can watch people gathered at the Sydney Opera House cheering “gas the Jews” and “death to the Jews.” People are rejoicing in the slaughter on the streets of Berlin and London and Toronto and New York. 17. What I do not understand is the three Leftist justices voted in favor of religious rights on the postal worker case released yesterday, but voted against this one released today. Supreme Court rules in favor of Colorado graphic designer who refused to create same-sex wedding websites The U.S. Supreme Court held that a Colorado graphic designer who wants to make wedding websites does not have to create them for same-sex marriages, in a landmark decision that pit the interests of LGBTQ non-discrimination against First Amendment freedom. In a 6-3 decision issued Friday, the high court ruled in favor of artist Lorie Smith, who sued the state over its anti-discrimination law that prohibited businesses providing sales or other accommodations to the public from denying service based on a customer's sexual orientation. Justice Neil Gorsuch authored the majority opinion, which said that, "In this case, Colorado seeks to force an individual to speak in ways that align with its views but defy her conscience about a matter of major significance." https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/supreme-court-rules-in-favor-of-colorado-graphic-designer-who-refused-to-create-same-sex-wedding-websites/ar-AA1dg4M7
  18. This AI will most likely be used for the next election. It will get interesting. AI clones teen girl’s voice in $1M kidnapping scam: ‘I’ve got your daughter’ It was a dead “ringer” for her daughter. Artificial intelligence has taken phone scams to a frightening new level. An Arizona mom claims that scammers used AI to clone her daughter’s voice so they could demand a 1$ million dollar ransom from her as part of a terrifying new voice scheme. “I never doubted for one second it was her,” distraught mother Jennifer DeStefano told WKYT while recalling the bone-chilling incident. “That’s the freaky part that really got me to my core.” This bombshell comes amid a rise in “caller ID spoofing” schemes, in which scammers claim they’ve taken the recipient’s relative hostage and will harm them if they aren’t paid a specified amount of money. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/ai-clones-teen-girl-s-voice-in-1m-kidnapping-scam-i-ve-got-your-daughter/ar-AA19LWPF
  19. If the shoe fits. Twitter criticized after labeling NPR as ‘state-affiliated media’ (NewsNation) — NPR president and CEO John Lansing fired back at Twitter on Wednesday morning after the social media platform put a label on the news organization’s profile calling it “state-affiliated media.” NewsNation partner The Hill reports this designation is one Twitter uses for state news agencies such as Russia’s TASS and China’s Xinhua. “NPR and our Member stations are supported by millions of listeners who depend on us for the independent, fact-based journalism we provide,” Lansing wrote in a statement. “NPR stands for freedom of speech and holding the powerful accountable. It is unacceptable for Twitter to label us this way. A vigorous, vibrant free press is essential to the health of our democracy.” https://www.newsnationnow.com/entertainment-news/media/twitter-npr-state-affiliated-media-ceo-responds/

U.S. safety agency to consider ban on gas stoves amid health fears A federal agency says a ban on gas stoves is on the table amid rising concern about harmful indoor air pollutants emitted by the appliances. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission plans to take action to address the pollution, which can cause health and respiratory problems. “This is a hidden hazard,” Richard Trumka Jr., an agency commissioner, said in an interview. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.” https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2023-01-09/us-safety-agency-considers-gas-stove-ban?expandComments=true
  21. Assault on our Republic? Armed suspect accused of violent threats against Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh identified An armed man was arrested near the Maryland home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh Wednesday morning, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News. The suspect, 26-year-old Nicholas John Roske of Simi Valley, California, was carrying a gun, knife and pepper spray when arrested and had made violent threats against Kavanaugh, sources said. Roske was picked up on a nearby street after calling police on 911 to report himself. He did not get to the Kavanaugh home. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/supreme-court-justice-kavanaugh-home-armed-man-arrested
  22. Scammers are getting more creative. Be careful. 2 Michigan women tricked by convincing, sophisticated Amazon scam: What to know The calls appear to have three steps: The initial caller claims to be from Amazon and tells you there has been a fraudulent purchase on an Amazon account. Then, the conversation quickly turns to reveal that you have bank accounts with four or five well-known names — Wells Fargo, PNC Bank, Bank of America, Chase and others. Maybe that's where you really bank, maybe you don't and will let it slip where you do have accounts. Last, you're told that someone has used your identity to open up a string of bank accounts. A call that began from Amazon somehow ends up with a federal agent on the line to convince you that you'll be arrested soon because you're now suspected of money laundering. The caller might imply that hundreds of thousands of dollars were transferred into questionable accounts opened with your ID information. https://www.freep.com/story/money/personal-finance/susan-tompor/2022/05/19/amazon-scam-money-laundering/9794344002/
  23. Kinds of flying under the radar with all the recent deflections. The baby formula supply problem is getting worse New YorkCNNBusiness — For months stores nationwide have been struggling to stock enough baby formula. Manufacturers say they’re producing at full capacity and making as much formula as they can, but it’s still not enough to meet current demand. The out-of-stock rate for baby formula hovered between 2% and 8% in the first half of 2021, but began rising sharply last July. Between November 2021 and early April 2022, the out-of-stock rate jumped to 31%, data from Datasembly showed. That rate increased another 9 percentage points in just three weeks in April, and now stands at 40%, the statistics show. In six states — Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri, Texas and Tennessee — more than half of baby formula was completely sold out during the week starting April 24, Datasembly said. https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/08/business/baby-formula-shortage/index.html
  24. In the theme of our current vacation to the Arches/Canyonlands area in Utah, just wondering what everyone’s favorite National park/monuments/seashores are? I still love Death Valley, but the others we have visited, Yellowstone, Badlands, Arches, Grand Canyon, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Mt. Rushmore, Cuyahoga Valley, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Indiana Dunes, Cumberland Gap are all great in their own way.
