  1. Yes, of course. If Democrats didn't have double standards, they would have no standards at all.
  2. I still wonder all the hype over the IoT. Is a connected refrigerator, garage door opener, electric locks, thermostat really any better than their unconnected counterparts? What is the benefit? I only read the Wired article where they seem to put the blame on the lack of security, but they really don't answer the question posed in the headline.
  3. I believe anything that is web connected can be hacked. One of the reasons we are not fans of connected devices for the home. And yes, many ICE vehicles are being updated with similar technology.
  4. This is another interesting tidbit. Relative to the vulnerability of EVs over ICEs, I think that is more to do with companies pouring more tech into EVs right now than those old ICE models. Also, this article is a bit dated, so there may have been some security added, but I suppose the hackers are not sitting still either. Can your EV be hacked? Researchers say yes https://thenextweb.com/news/can-your-ev-be-hacked-researchers-say-yes
  5. Considering the make up of the PA government, I expect any replacement will be a Democrat, but like I said early, Fetterman's wife may be angling to be that appointee. Beyond that, I was making a connection to Santos and all the calls for him to resign. Not really seeing a difference with Fetterman.
  6. I definitely would like to see Putin go. Like I told my wife, no one needs to be the head of a country in perpetuity.
  7. The one big difference here is in the case of WWII, Russia had been invaded, so public sentiment was on Stalin's side as to how to rid themselves of the invaders. Of course a lot of the Russians were lost in the 3 years it took before the Western Front was opened in Normandy. Now Putin was trying to sell a similar story with the Donbas area, but it is not quite the same. That being said, Putin is a totalitarian, and needs to go, but I am not sure how that will happen with the folks he has supporting him, and the Russian government's push to stop any opposition.
  8. Did a quick search, it seems that Creek/Run heads toward the Ohio River, nothing to worry about I guess. Not diverse enough?
  9. It was interesting that there was no discussion on if they had trouble charging at any of their stops. There are a lot of stories out there about the unreliability of the public charging stations. On another note, but still on topic. If you have a Ford Lightning on order, it seems there will be delays. Ford F-150 Lightning fire prompts production halt The Detroit Free Press first reported news of a vehicle fire. Earlier this week, Ford confirmed it had halted production and stopped shipments of the vehicle over an unidentified battery problem. The F-150 Lightning is built at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/2023/02/15/ford-to-keep-f-150-lightning-plant-down-through-at-least-next-week/69907949007/
  10. Hmm, we drove from North Port to North of Detroit in 19 hrs with just seven 5-10 minute stops (two for fuel as we started with a full tank and five for bathroom/driver switches). We did not have to sacrifice comfort as we got further North.
  11. Are you saying that he and his campaign lied to the voters of PA? Shouldn't he resign?
  12. From what I am seeing Russia is fighting this much like they fought WWII, so I wonder when Zelensky will start asking for manpower with equipment.
  13. So not just in Maryland. Not A Single Student Is Proficient In Reading Or Math At 55 Chicago Schools: REPORT In 930 schools within the state, just one out of ten students meet math grade-level expectations, the report stated. In 622 Illinois schools, one out of ten students, or fewer, are reading proficiently. The report comes as the nation battles historic learning loss; since 2019, every state has seen a decline in its students’ math scores while the nation’s reading scores dropped to fall in line with numbers from 1990. https://dailycaller.com/2023/02/14/math-reading-chicago-schools-report/
  14. Many more young people today have no idea about ROI, or the value of money. I still remember when I was in college laughing at the Humanities majors when they talked about how important their classes were. I remember asking one, what is your plan to make money after getting their degree, their response was they would keep going to the PhD level and teach. Probably why there are so many more college students today getting worthless degrees. It is interesting though how this study was done. Quite a few big name universities are not providing much of a return. Can they be sued like we see people suing for profit entities?
  15. One wonders if Fetterman's wife is having those discussions just like Jean Carnahan.
  16. I lived by myself for a lot of years, so I did my own laundry. That being said, the wife only lets me do the bedding and my workout clothes, the rest she does herself. Something about just throwing everything in together and washing everything in cold.
  17. Based on the OP, I assume they will be bringing the information requested in the interview letter. My only suggestion was to also bring additional information regarding trips outside the US since applying. In reality, you probably just need to have the exact dates, the countries visited and the exact number of days outside the US so the IO can update Part 9 regarding your time outside the US since submitting the N400. You can just write that out on a piece of paper, but boarding passes or a itinerary will work as well. Good Luck!
  18. I know when I take the clothes our of the washer, they are fairly well wrapped around each other. Heck, when doing bedding, the sheets always end up wrapped together.
  19. Interesting especially since you had a I751 combo interview. Back when my wife interviewed for her N400, the IO had the I751 package (an inch or so thick) in front of her, we reviewed it briefly with her, and she did not ask to see any of the N400 interview evidence my wife brought. Just an FYI, you do not need all that evidence to file the N400. Unless applying from overseas, or as the member of or the spouse of a military member, you only need to supply a copy of your GC (front and back), and a copy of your current marriage certificate (reference link, page 10). Many people when filing online also upload the required evidence to bring to the interview (reference link page 11), but you don't need to do that to apply. You can upload it later, or just collect it to take to the interview. Good Luck! https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/n-400instr.pdf
  20. Are they going to do this as an open investigation? Isn't there a Rep. from Minnesota that had a questionable marriage?
