  1. Congrats on your naturalization completion. I agree with @Mike E and @Boiler, send in the I130 before the fee increases.
  2. And yet our elite leaders, particularly of the Democrat variety, expect toddlers and kids in general to wear masks correctly. Gotta love that logic.
  3. I think the authors of the study were very clear about the sources of their data. Are you saying Covid19 is different than other viruses? You can certainly wear a mask if you wish, but why do you wish to push this type of view on others that have other beliefs of the efficacy of masks? I tend to think masks can help a little when one is sick by providing some pressure drop in the breath exhaled and capturing some of the nastiness that may come out, but masks offer very little protection for those trying to keep from catching anything, and may in fact be worse (how many people use a single use surgical mask only once). Whatever, the point is the science with data covering many different viruses show little difference with mask mandates.
  4. The Lancet is still behind when they say 'is at least as effective as two mRNA jabs'. I do hope folks are opening their eyes as to the duplicity of these activists.
  5. It is amazing that so many people were branded negatively for simply asking the question. We had our own microcosm of that here in CEHST. Why are most on the Left so trusting in the bureaucrats from DC that seem to have no idea how real people think. Personally I think Trump had a good idea related to spreading the Federal Departments around the country and getting them out of the DC/Maryland/Virginia elite bubble.
  6. This is so true. I assume Viktor Bout is helping out. Ukraine, and Zelensky are only slightly less corrupt than Putin. It is interesting, Zelensky is sort of the Ukranian version of Trump, but for some reason the Left loves him, and loathes Trump. Never try to understand the weird logic of those on the Left. It is worse in Ukraine. America's top-of-the-line air-defense tools are being employed against Russian and Iranian air assets. What would those countries pay for the telemetry data of a shoot-down, never mind actual hardware to reverse engineer and program against? There are no doubt Russian, Chinese, Iranian and other intelligence agencies on the ground in Ukraine with suitcases full of money trying to buy up what they can. Another cost of war.
  7. Yeah, my wife Katya did the same thing. She has traveled that way multiple times as an LPR, LPR with expired GC and extension letter and now as a USC with a Russian passport in her former name and a US passport in her married name with no issues. Changing her name in her Russian passport might make it a little cleaner, but it is definitely not a requirement.
  8. Could be. I am not a tax expert, but I think you could amend the 2021 taxes.
  9. Ok, I am more confused. Were you filing taxes quarterly? You said you filed 2021 taxes as single, but you married in 2021, did you mean your 2020 taxes? So if not filing quarterly, your 2021 taxes should have shown that you married when you filed them in early 2022. It might just be a typo.
  10. Just curious, you said you got married in 2021, but filed single. Was that a typo?
  11. I agree with @Crazy Cat, this should not be an issue, but with USCIS, one never really knows for certain.
  12. I don't fully understand. Did you submit the I130 with your I485 package?
  13. The W2 is only part of the tax return and it does not show the adjusted gross income that is shown on the 1040 tax form. Hence the need for either the tax transcript or a copy of the tax return.
  14. I assume this is evidence to support the I864? If so, then this is what is outlined in the instructions. Item Numbers 23.a. - 25. Federal Income Tax Return Information. You must provide either an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-864instr.pdf
  15. The consulates will want the most recent tax transcripts or a copy of the most recent tax return. Tax transcripts are generally preferred by the consulates. Good Luck!
  16. I actually like Atlanta, very easy to get around from terminal to terminal. Incheon is extremely nice. I do wonder if the NYC airports are becoming magnets for the homeless like O’Hare.
  17. I still avoid all the NYC airports with a passion. One of my worst experiences was transiting through NYC when I had to go from LaGuardia to JFK, forty minute ride in a horrible taxi. Anyway, there are plenty of nice airports in the US, LaGuardia is nothing special. The Detroit airport was a mess where they kept expanding making gates a very long walk from the check-in. They updated in 2002 and now it is a very nice airport.
  18. Your child will automatically derive US citizenship when you are naturalized (I.e. successfully complete interview and oath ceremony) assuming the child is still a minor when you finish which seems likely since she is only 8. When you finish your naturalization and have your certificate you can apply for a U.S. passport for yourself and your daughter. You can also file the N600 at that time to get your daughter a certificate of naturalization. Good Luck! https://www.uscitizenship.info/us-citizenship/how-to-apply-for-us-citizenship-for-child-below-age-18/#
  19. Not sure about the success rate for the consulate in Bucharest, but the interview wait times for a B2 appear fairly short. If she has strong ties to her home country then she has a chance. Good Luck! https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/global-visa-wait-times.html
