N400 Application Corrections
Dashinka replied to CuriousImmigrant_'s topic in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports
You can correct the N400 at the interview. Get copies of the tickets if you can, if not, it probably will not be a big deal, but you should discuss it as USCIs probably already knows (note, don’t worry about traffic stops where no citation was issued). As to the military training, I am not too up on that, but aren’t reservists also trained in military tactics? You may be asked about it, so you can clarify it at the interview. Good Luck! -

Do GC spouses need a re-entry permit?
Dashinka replied to 123winnie's topic in Military Immigration-Related Discussion
I believe that references the SB-1 returning resident visa. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/returning-resident.html -
Do GC spouses need a re-entry permit?
Dashinka replied to 123winnie's topic in Military Immigration-Related Discussion
It is not a bad idea to get a re-entry permit, but I am not sure it is required if you are listed on your spouse’s official orders. I think you may also be able to naturalize. Good Luck! (U) Spouse and Children of U.S. Armed Forces Members or U.S. Government Civilian Employees Stationed Abroad: (a) (U) The LPR spouse or child of a civilian or military employee of the U.S. Government outside the United States pursuant to official orders, who has resided with such employee abroad, does not require a visa if: (i) (U) The spouse or child possesses a valid or expired Form I-551; (ii) (U) Has gone abroad accompanying or following-to join such a spouse, or married the U.S. Armed Forces member or U.S. Government employee while abroad, even if the LPR has been abroad more than 1 year, provided they would have been eligible to receive a visa as a returning resident at the time the marriage occurred; (iii) (U) Resided abroad while the employee or service person was on duty abroad; and (iv) (U) Is preceding, accompanying, or following to join the employee or service person (principal) to the United States; and (b) (U) In interpreting the provisions of 8 CFR 211.1(b)(1) waiving the visa requirement for the spouses and children of Armed Forces members or U.S. Government civilian employees serving abroad, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has held that: (i) (U) The spouse or child need not physically accompany the Armed Forces member or civilian employee to benefit from the visa waiver if the LPR is preceding or following-to-join the member or employee; (ii) (U) An LPR who does not physically accompany the Armed Forces member or employee to the United States must possess evidence that they are the spouse or child of a member or employee who was stationed abroad on official orders and that the spouse or parent was previously lawfully admitted for permanent residence; and (iii) (U) To benefit from the waiver, it is not material whether the member or employee was discharged abroad, or whether the spouse or child is residing in a country different from that in which the principal is stationed, provided all other criteria for the waiver are met; and https://fam.state.gov/fam/09FAM/09FAM020202.html -
Yes, you will need to file separate I130’s for your spouse and children. You can allow each petition to catch up at the NVC stage so they can have interviews together. As to citizenship after their getting immigration visas, I am not sure about that. You do not meet the 5 year physical presence requirement to immediately pass on citizenship to your children through CRBA, but I think they can get it after coming in IVs, others may know more. As to your spouse, they will need to file their own N400 three or five years after they enter the U.S. with their spousal visa. Good Luck!

Not sure about your experiences, but I have had personal experience where Democrats/Leftist are very intolerant of any view that does not agree with their’s. Many years ago, I dated a truly committed Democrat/Leftist, it was no big deal to me as I like hearing opposing views, but when she found out my political leanings she promptly broke up with me. Whatever, to each their own.

If the name was changed through naturalization, then that certificate functions as the proof of that name change. Good Luck! -
Staunch belief? Did the CA legislation and CA Governor by the name of Newsom propose, pass, and sign in a law that requires gender neutral toy aisle(s)? Not really sure about your personal issues/beliefs, that is your own burden, but open minds can be beneficial instead of simply relying on Democrat talking points/narratives.

Heard a top of the hour news report on the radio (CBS I think) where they described the MI SC of punting this case. They did no such thing, they simply found that the lower court came to a correct decision, and there was no need for further litigation. Also keep in mind that the MI SC is now a majority Democrat. I agree, this really makes the CO SC look like a bunch of partisan hacks.

You are ignoring section 5 of the 14th Amendment, the Democrat political operative Sidney B. (Who quite possibly lied under oath) glosses over it, but it deserves more analysis. What law has Congress passed with respect to Section 3 that would disqualify Trump? 18 US Code Section 2383 is the only one I know of, but the CO SC relied almost solely on the partisan output from Nancy Pelosi’s January 6th Committee (not a court of law, and no due process was followed) in their findings. Donald Trump has never been charged with insurrection under the law above even with the partisan prosecutor Jack Smith throwing everything against the wall. Additionally, the fact that other state SCs are seeing it differently that’s CO makes their case weak. We shall see what happens of course, but quite honestly I would put more faith in the analysis of a legal scholar like Turley (also a Democrat btw.), than a Democrat political operative, with very close ties to the Clinton family (we know what they are capable of manufacturing politically), like Blementhal. Section 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution#Section_5:_Power_of_enforcement

Suicides scheduled? Prince Andrew sex accuser Virginia Giuffre taunts 'there's going to be a lot of nervous people...who's on the naughty list?' after judge rules 170 people linked to Jeffrey Epstein can be named in court Prince Andrew's accuser Virginia Giuffre has welcomed a judge's ruling that 170 people linked to Jeffrey Epstein are set to be unmasked, as she taunted his associates by asking 'who's on the naughty list?' It comes after DailyMail.com revealed that dozens of Epstein's high profile associates can be named in court documents set to be released in the first days of 2024. Giuffre, nee Roberts, who claims she was trafficked by Epstein and had sex with Prince Andrew aged 17, was triumphant in her bid to get a dossier containing the names of the disgraced financier's associates and victims unsealed. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12886017/Prince-Andrew-sex-accuser-Virginia-Giuffre-nervous-people-naughty-list-judge-rules-170-people-linked-Jeffrey-Epstein-named.html

So to me this is much more general than just the Hamas terror attacks into Israel (if mods feel otherwise, feel free to put this in the Israel thread). It is certainly true, people usually show their true colors. A great example is the racist attitudes of Old Corrupt Joe which shine through all the time. When People Tell You Who They Are, Believe Them On the one hand I think: surely this will be sufficient. Surely this amount of blood will be enough to shake the world awake. Surely no one can equivocate or justify this. As my friend Sarah Haider wrote, “How easy is it to simply condemn targeted violence against civilians? Can there be a lower bar?” And yet, across the world, people have sunk below it. Here you can watch people gathered at the Sydney Opera House cheering “gas the Jews” and “death to the Jews.” People are rejoicing in the slaughter on the streets of Berlin and London and Toronto and New York. What I do not understand is the three Leftist justices voted in favor of religious rights on the postal worker case released yesterday, but voted against this one released today. Supreme Court rules in favor of Colorado graphic designer who refused to create same-sex wedding websites The U.S. Supreme Court held that a Colorado graphic designer who wants to make wedding websites does not have to create them for same-sex marriages, in a landmark decision that pit the interests of LGBTQ non-discrimination against First Amendment freedom. In a 6-3 decision issued Friday, the high court ruled in favor of artist Lorie Smith, who sued the state over its anti-discrimination law that prohibited businesses providing sales or other accommodations to the public from denying service based on a customer's sexual orientation. Justice Neil Gorsuch authored the majority opinion, which said that, "In this case, Colorado seeks to force an individual to speak in ways that align with its views but defy her conscience about a matter of major significance." https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/supreme-court-rules-in-favor-of-colorado-graphic-designer-who-refused-to-create-same-sex-wedding-websites/ar-AA1dg4M7

This AI will most likely be used for the next election. It will get interesting. AI clones teen girl’s voice in $1M kidnapping scam: ‘I’ve got your daughter’ It was a dead “ringer” for her daughter. Artificial intelligence has taken phone scams to a frightening new level. An Arizona mom claims that scammers used AI to clone her daughter’s voice so they could demand a 1$ million dollar ransom from her as part of a terrifying new voice scheme. “I never doubted for one second it was her,” distraught mother Jennifer DeStefano told WKYT while recalling the bone-chilling incident. “That’s the freaky part that really got me to my core.” This bombshell comes amid a rise in “caller ID spoofing” schemes, in which scammers claim they’ve taken the recipient’s relative hostage and will harm them if they aren’t paid a specified amount of money. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/ai-clones-teen-girl-s-voice-in-1m-kidnapping-scam-i-ve-got-your-daughter/ar-AA19LWPF

If the shoe fits. Twitter criticized after labeling NPR as ‘state-affiliated media’ (NewsNation) — NPR president and CEO John Lansing fired back at Twitter on Wednesday morning after the social media platform put a label on the news organization’s profile calling it “state-affiliated media.” NewsNation partner The Hill reports this designation is one Twitter uses for state news agencies such as Russia’s TASS and China’s Xinhua. “NPR and our Member stations are supported by millions of listeners who depend on us for the independent, fact-based journalism we provide,” Lansing wrote in a statement. “NPR stands for freedom of speech and holding the powerful accountable. It is unacceptable for Twitter to label us this way. A vigorous, vibrant free press is essential to the health of our democracy.” https://www.newsnationnow.com/entertainment-news/media/twitter-npr-state-affiliated-media-ceo-responds/

More from the war on CH4. And yes, this agency is headed by the son of the former top manager of the AFL-CFO. U.S. safety agency to consider ban on gas stoves amid health fears A federal agency says a ban on gas stoves is on the table amid rising concern about harmful indoor air pollutants emitted by the appliances. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission plans to take action to address the pollution, which can cause health and respiratory problems. “This is a hidden hazard,” Richard Trumka Jr., an agency commissioner, said in an interview. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.” https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2023-01-09/us-safety-agency-considers-gas-stove-ban?expandComments=true
