  1. Wonder how it tastes? Biden raises eyebrows by telling Irish leaders to 'lick the world' https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-raises-eyebrows-telling-irish-leaders-lick-world
  2. Who knows. There was another article discussing overtaxed property owners in Detroit as well. I expect they will turn to the Democrats that run the state for money.
  3. I would consult with a tax attorney regarding your predicament. As a USC it is required to be good with the IRS.
  4. The I765 and I131 (EAD and AP) are taking 6-8 months, but I have been hearing anecdotal stories of some being approved faster. As to the I765, if you have a solid job offer, you can request an expedite.
  5. Many consulates require the I864A from the spouse of the joint-sponsor (your father) when they file taxes jointly.
  6. Sorry, read your earlier posts, and the I130 is already in progress, so DCF is not an option. Good luck with your expedite request.
  7. Have you already filed the i130(s)? Have you researched direct consular filing as that would be the fastest? Usually couples do that with an immediate job offer, but you may qualify given your circumstances. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-6-part-b-chapter-3
  8. Since USCIS is part of the Department of Homeland Security there is already Congressional oversight in theory.
  9. If you are living in the UK right now, and planning to file the I130 you would use the letter as evidence you plan to re-establish domicile back in the US. The letter will not take the place of the I864 you fill out as well as the I864/I864A from your father and step-mother (if an I864A is necessary). You can file the I130s online to get the ball rolling then in about 12-24 months, you will need to provide the I864s prior to the interviews.
  10. What happens is once you submit the AOS package to the lockbox address, it is initially reviewed to make sure all the required forms and required evidence is included, then USCIS will cash the check or charge your credit card, and they will issue an acceptance Notice of Action (NOA) which will be your proof that you properly filed the AOS and are authorized to stay until your AOS is decided. This review is fairly quick and the NOA should show up fairly quickly. If you were to leave the US before receiving your AP card or GC, then you will have abandoned your application. Once you get your EAD and SSN you can legally take a job (you can look for one before getting the EAD, but cannot officially start working until you actually receive it). Then in 12-18 months or so, your AOS should be decided. Good Luck!
  11. You will be in a period of authorized stay until the AOS is decided. Keep a copy of your AOS acceptance NOA (maybe make a few copies) with you. Good Luck!
  12. If you know the actual start date of when you started living at that address, then use that date. Same as above. yes, use the same address. Yes, refer to page 2-3 of the I129F instructions. Good Luck! https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-129finstr.pdf
  13. Regardless of if a co-sponsor is used, the petitioner still has to sign a separate I864.
  14. Not sure about need to register the marriage in the Philippines, but yes, for US immigration purposes, the couple has to physically meet after the ceremony before attempting a spousal visa. This thread may answer the specific regional questions.
  15. Rules for thee…. Pentagon Leaker Kicking Himself For Not Just Leaving Classified Documents Strewn Around His Garage DIGHTON, MA — Military police have arrested Jack Teixeira for allegedly leaking classified documents that contained information on the war in Ukraine. Teixeira, an Air National Guardsman, is currently kicking himself for not just leaving documents strewn around an unlocked garage as the President did. "Ugh! I'm so stupid! Why didn't I just print them out and leave them in a garage, or a vacation home, or the trunk of a Corvette?" said the distraught Teixeira while being hauled away. "What on earth was I thinking?" https://babylonbee.com/news/pentagon-leaker-kicking-himself-for-not-just-leaving-classified-documents-strewn-around-his-garage
  16. Thought this was a BB story. With the replies, it almost writes itself.
  17. Unfortunately this type of stuff seems contagious. Kind of like a novel virus spreading, but only among Democrats. Detroit Reparations Task Force gets to work: 'We are stewards of this process' https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/detroit-city/2023/04/13/detroit-reparations-task-force-gets-to-work-we-are-stewards-of-this-process/70109160007/
  18. I am not usually a big fan of boycotts, and quite frankly I haven’t drank a BL in more than 20 years. That being said, people certainly can vote with their dollars.
  19. This AI will most likely be used for the next election. It will get interesting. AI clones teen girl’s voice in $1M kidnapping scam: ‘I’ve got your daughter’ It was a dead “ringer” for her daughter. Artificial intelligence has taken phone scams to a frightening new level. An Arizona mom claims that scammers used AI to clone her daughter’s voice so they could demand a 1$ million dollar ransom from her as part of a terrifying new voice scheme. “I never doubted for one second it was her,” distraught mother Jennifer DeStefano told WKYT while recalling the bone-chilling incident. “That’s the freaky part that really got me to my core.” This bombshell comes amid a rise in “caller ID spoofing” schemes, in which scammers claim they’ve taken the recipient’s relative hostage and will harm them if they aren’t paid a specified amount of money. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/ai-clones-teen-girl-s-voice-in-1m-kidnapping-scam-i-ve-got-your-daughter/ar-AA19LWPF
  20. Assuming you have filled out all the forms properly and have all the required evidence you should be fine submitting. Good Luck!
