  1. If you as the USC are planning to repatriate to the US for a job or for some other reason mostly outside of your control you can explore DCF. If this is not the case, file the I130 online about 2 years or so before you plan to relocate to the US. He can still use the B2 visa he has to visit or vacation, but you can stay living together in Turkey until you get close to him having a spousal visa interview, then you will have to make plans for your relocation. Good Luck!
  2. Seems to deal more with the upcoming election than anything else, so posting it here. I must say, this was written by a complete pompous a--. I have never read such elitist garbage in a very long time. I hope David Brooks never needs an actual person to say change their thermostat, or service their car. The answer to the headline question is yes, you are the problem, and it is not "progress", it is regress. What if We’re the Bad Guys Here? We anti-Trumpers often tell a story to explain that. It was encapsulated in a quote the University of North Carolina political scientist Marc Hetherington gave to my colleague Thomas B. Edsall recently: “Republicans see a world changing around them uncomfortably fast, and they want it to slow down, maybe even take a step backward. But if you are a person of color, a woman who values gender equality or an L.G.B.T. person, would you want to go back to 1963? I doubt it.” In this story we anti-Trumpers are the good guys, the forces of progress and enlightenment. The Trumpers are reactionary bigots and authoritarians. Many Republicans support Trump no matter what, according to this story, because at the end of the day he’s still the bigot in chief, the embodiment of their resentments, and that’s what matters to them most. I partly agree with this story; but it’s also a monument to elite self-satisfaction. https://dnyuz.com/2023/08/02/what-if-were-the-bad-guys-here/
  3. Wasn't there some level of social media outrage when she lost some weight (memory is cloudy)?
  4. I realize you are talking to yourself, but you do not get it. Based on my reading you are fine to start a thread about Trump that does not deal with the legal issues the MSM wants to promote, but threads dealing with what the vaunted Jack Smith, or any other Trump prosecution issues (NYC, GA, etc.) belong in one place.
  5. Ultra-Leftist virtue signaling. Progress? Sanctuary cities were always a fraud I got my first taste of this species of virtue signaling back in the 1980s, when I briefly lived in Amherst Massachusetts. The issue wasn’t immigration, but nuclear weapons, but the virtue signaling was of exactly the same type. Amherst, you see, declared itself a “nuclear-free” zone. Examples of idiotic liberal virtue signaling are as common as ants at a picnic, and the particular idiocy of the 1980s was the anti-nuclear movement that focused on freezing nuclear weapons production. The useful idiots believed that passing an ordinance against nuclear weapons in their municipalities would make the world a more peaceful place, and proudly put up signs informing everyone that they disagreed with Ronald Reagan’s military buildup. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2023/08/03/sanctuary-cities-were-always-a-fraud-n568704
  6. I am sure Biden will lift the moratorium on the Federal death penalty for this.
  7. Correct. We tend to describe it to others as dual citizenship, but in reality, Russia only recognizes my wife as their citizen, and similar for the US, but neither requires one to give up any other citizenships so my wife has two passports. And like Ukraine, it is a real pain to change a last name in a Russian passport. Good Luck!
  8. Similar situation in Russia, though when entering Russia, my wife presents both passports and she does not have any issues (maybe a 5 minute wait the first time). Good Luck!
  9. The inevitable response. Now this is progress. I suspect soft-on-crime Bragg (or the prosecutor where it happened as it was not clear if in Manhattan or another borough) will prosecute these two to the fullest extent of the law.
  10. I agree with @Redro, it is cleaner to have your brother fill out the I864 with an I864A from his spouse.
  11. Progress? Personally I think all this D.I.E. stuff is teetering on the edge at least in the business world, but I guess not so much in the University system. California universities have found a way to circumvent the state's long-held affirmative action laws Many applications for the University of California school system’s faculty jobs include submitting a statement of allegiance to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to be considered, despite the fact that race-based employment and admissions policies at public universities have been outlawed in the state since 1996. UC Santa Cruz, UC Irvine, and UC Berkeley’s point system for evaluating potential employees prefer applicants with “clear knowledge of … dimensions of diversity that result from different identities,” a “consistent track record” in advancing DEI, and experiences in aiding “underrepresented individuals.” Despite state laws against affirmative action at public universities and other state institutions, diversity statement requirements can serve as a way to manipulate the racial makeup of a hiring pool, without directly discriminating based on race. UC's own research shows this. Data from UC Berkeley shows that using DEI statements in applicant screening reliably results in fewer Asian American and White applicants being shortlisted for hiring. In fact, since aggressively employing these practices in faculty hiring, the university has seen a notable increase in Black and Hispanic hires, and a decrease in White and Asian hires. https://www.campusreform.org/article?id=23700
  12. I would really love to talk to those that are fine with bribery? I suspect most of those are either elected leaders or bureaucrats.
  13. Honestly I do not see anyone beating Trump, but it is nice to see there are a number of viable candidates in the GOP as the Democrats have nothing but old corrupt career politicians.
  14. I am going to put this here since it involves child trafficking (kind of). Former Seattle middle school teacher arrested for rape after pleading guilty to sex crime Further details show that he texted a victim that he went to Seattle to kidnap a teenage girl to have her as a "sex slave." The victim said Hunter also forced her to watch "black market" pornography. He was booked into Chelan County Regional Justice Center and arrested on suspicions of first-degree rape and second-degree assault. Police also found towels with bloody fluids on them and a one-piece bathing suit designed for a young girl at his home. Hunter committed previous sex crimes in Aug. 2021 and was charged with rape in the third degree in Feb. 2022, which was lessened to the fourth degree. He pled guilty to a lesser charge of fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation when he was first arraigned in the 2021 crime. https://thepostmillennial.com/former-seattle-middle-school-teacher-arrested-for-rape-after-pleading-guilty-to-sex-crime
  15. The MSM is really doing their best to ignore the credit rating downgrade (I expect another Trump indictment coming soon), but this will certainly do no favors relative to Bidenomics.
  16. How intolerant will the ultra-Left Democrats become? I guess insurrectiony acts are fine for some. Andy Ngo's lawsuit against Rose City Antifa goes to trial (Update) On May 28, 2021, Hacker and Richter allegedly participated in events that resulted in Ngo being beaten by a mob of Antifa. On that day, Ngo was observing Antifa attacks on the Portland Justice Center and the central precinct of Portland police when Hacker reportedly approached Ngo and questioned him about his attire. Ngo was reporting undercover in attire that concealed his identity. After Hacker identified Ngo, a mob of Antifa chased him down the street and brutally beat him. The first person to identify Ngo that night was Hacker, according to Yamamoto. Another defense attorney who claims the defendants are just good progressives trying to make the world a better place: The rest of that tweet reads: “During this event, Ngo testified that he was doused with bear mace, and was punched in the head by Benjamin Bolen, a defendant in the complaint. Ngo changed his reporting tactics after this incident, telling the jury, ‘I was scared to be Andy covering this stuff.'” Bolen is the person, mentioned above, with whom Ngo has already reached a settlement. Daviscourt mentioned in a later tweet that Ngo was punched in the stomach, not the head, by Bolen. https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2023/08/02/andy-ngos-lawsuit-against-rose-city-antifa-goes-to-trial-n568718
  17. As most things are cyclical, the FBI is returning to its roots (at least the DC crowd).
  18. Oh how I love watching the Left/Democrats tie themselves into hypocritical knots. Changing your sex is possible, but race swapping apparently is not. Because reasons... No, what is so absurd is the mental gymnastics that “experts” feel obligated to go through to maintain ridiculous contradictory and assertions. Race is not real. Race is immutable. Sex is not real. But self-identity is absolute. But self-identity about race is unacceptable. Make it make sense if you can. I am not mentally flexible enough to do so. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2023/08/03/changing-your-sex-is-possible-but-race-swapping-apparently-is-not-because-reasons-n568806
  19. OK, instead of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, I guess I can just say decay, or deterioration.
  20. As far as I am concerned, unless these climate protesters show us the ultimate devotion to their cause and completely stop their personal CO2 emissions, I am not going to pay attention to their antics.
  21. Yep, the Teamsters were focusing on UPS, and Yellow folds. Sounds like a good plan.
  22. The biggest hurdle you will face is uninformed airline employees, but that can be overcome. That being said, if you want peace of mind and you can swing it, sure fly through Canada. Good Luck!
  23. Completely agree with you if the laws were actually applied equally which from all appearances, and from sworn testimony from whistleblowers, it doesn’t appear to be the case. Trump is an idiot narcissist that doesn’t fit into elite DC, so we get this. Biden a career corrupt politician gets special treatment. What’s not to like about our DOJ. That added to Garland who most likely is seeking revenge for being held off SCOTUS (thank God), and many outlets including many here already convicting him makes me feel the CJ system is broken. Whatever, I really don’t care about Trump, what scares me is the current corrupt occupant in WH.
