The war on those with good credit
Dashinka replied to TBoneTX's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
From those according to their ability.... Wow, they are not even hiding it anymore. -
If you have a valid F1 to enter the US for school, and you enter the US for that, and on one weekend while you are here legally you decided to marry your partner you are fine. You can continue school, your USC spouse can file the I130, you can leave and come back assuming you are still in school, and when school is complete, you can leave and finish the processing of your spousal visa back home. I hope that makes sense. This is not really the case anymore. K1's have slowed does quite a bit.

Sure, the F1, is very similar to a B2 in that respect. You may get extra scrutiny at each entry, so make sure you are prepared to show you do not plan to stay and adjust status with your partner. You can even get married here while on an F1 or B2 and then proceed with an I130 and consular processing. I agree with the others, and you mentioned getting your degree and working as being important, so I would pursue a spousal visa. Good Luck!

I assume you used the below as your basis for the expedite request. If that was the case, then I would expect the death certificate of the mother would be required. I would try again after you get a copy of it. Good Luck! Emergencies and urgent humanitarian reasons; In the context of an expedite request, humanitarian reasons are those related to human welfare. Examples may include, but are not limited to, illness, disability, extreme living conditions, death in the family, or a critical need to travel to obtain medical treatment in a limited amount of time. An emergency may include an urgent need to expedite employment authorization for healthcare workers during a national emergency such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, an expedite request may be considered under this criterion in instances where a vulnerable person’s safety may be compromised due to a breach of confidentiality if there is a delay in processing the benefit application. A benefit requestor’s desire to travel for vacation does not, in general, meet the definition of an emergency. -
Wait, so the payback period is now infinite? For some electric vehicle owners, recharging now more costly than filling up "We are in pretty much the same boat in [New Hampshire] and it sucks," said another user. "Went from an average of $220 a month electric bill... to now close to $400 a month and thats with off peak charging, and its supposed to go up again significantly in February." The rate hike pushed the user to sign up for a solar array, with a monthly bill around half their current power bill, the person added. To be sure, these drivers are a small minority of EV owners nationwide. But the episode illustrates how the volatility of fuel prices can complicate the equation when choosing between an electric and a conventional combustion-engine vehicle. And given the higher sticker prices for EVs — which can cost at least $10,000 more than the equivalent gas-powered car — that could tip the balance for some car buyers. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/electric-car-2023-costs-gas-vehicles/

Daily update on Biden tanking america

Whatever stimulants Old Corrupt Joe is on are becoming less and less effective. I expect Biden will be moving the Oval Office to his Delaware basement soon. -
But Washington, and to some extent Oregon and California are doing even more. I believe it is Washington or Oregon that are banning "assault weapons" (I think California already has something like this on the books) which means if someone wants to move there and owns one of these bad things, they will need to check them at the door. I am wondering when CA, OR, and WA will set up state border check-points.

Full on Marxism. “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs,” Karl Marx wrote in his Communist Manifesto. In a nutshell, Marx said productive, hard-working and successful people must sacrifice to less productive, and unproductive people. The State of California, the California Legislature and California Gov. Gavin Newsom are punishing productive successful people. Again. And they are saying the quiet parts out loud. https://californiaglobe.com/articles/california-going-full-commie-designing-electricity-rates-for-an-equitable-energy-transition/

What basis was used for the expedite request? -
Yep, this will go well. 'Don’t demonize them': Chicago's new mayor-elect says it's 'not constructive' to vilify group of rowdy teens that torched cars in rampage organized on social media - but condemned the chaotic takeover https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11980145/Chicagos-new-mayor-condemns-takeover-chaos-says-not-constructive-demonize-teens.html

I don’t think the issue is just with USCIS pushing paper, there are a lot of other tentacles involved such as NARA, the FBI, state and local LE, DoS when it comes to visa applications, etc. Add to that they are responsible for handling asylum applications as well that has recently ballooned. I am not making excuses for USCIS as the job they do for the most part is pretty inefficient, but we are talking about an inefficient federal bureaucracy.
