The statute is a joke. By the wording of the statute, the judge and AG committed fraud during the trial when they valued Mar A Lago at only $18 million. This is why judges and AGs and other elected officials should be open to lawsuits. Whatever, I agree the AG is in it for the long haul with her activism (what other companies is she suing under this statute), but in the end, she will do a lot of damage to the business world in NY hence the Governor's plea.

Like I mentioned, one does not make that screw up unless they are regularly using that type of verbiage, and of course we know that Democrats have a long racist history. So I don't really believe his explanation. Btw, you hypothesis doesn't really pan out, how does using a racial slur mock Republicans?

So the Biden Administration is turning its back on hostages again, and supporting Hamas. Hmm, Obama told us, but don't worry, Kamala studied the maps. Biden’s Shameful Betrayal of Israel at the United Nations President Biden has been getting increasingly bellicose in his rhetoric against Israel in recent weeks, particularly when it comes to Israeli plans to finish the job against Hamas by invading Rafah in southern Gaza. Over the weekend, the administration dispatched Vice President Kamala Harris to ABC to again chastise the planned Israeli offensive, claiming, laughably, that she had “studied the maps” and decided that Israel’s plan to evacuate civilians from the area wasn’t feasible. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/biden-s-shameful-betrayal-of-israel-at-the-united-nations/ar-BB1ky1gy?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=e87b5e72f79541a4ba8c573dc04f566d&ei=23

Saw this, and it brought back memories of all the Clinton wag-the-dog antics. Sure it is RT, but it is hard to argue how Kosovo turned out after the nation building from the West. It also begs the question as to if Yugoslavia was fine to break up and re-draw political boundaries along sectarian lines, why is Ukraine now different. Ruins of Yugoslavia: How Russia learned that NATO poses a threat Unsurprisingly, problems in the region did not end with the expulsion of the Serbs. To this day, Kosovo is a poor country with major corruption issues. The US took an active part in the reconstruction of Kosovo, but the region was mostly used by businessmen and officials for personal enrichment. Many of them have profited from murky schemes, including former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who owned a share of the only private mobile network operator in the region, and later tried to grab a piece of a state-owned company. Coincidentally, Albright’s daughter is the executive director of a corporation that distributes development grants to poor countries (including Kosovo). In Kosovo, there are 800,000 migrant workers per 1,800,000 inhabitants. Moreover, the republic has turned into a stronghold of the Albanian mafia. Even the Western press was forced to admit the failed state-building attempt in Kosovo. A few years after the events of 1999, Montenegro peacefully broke away from Yugoslavia, and the latter ceased to exist. President Slobodan Milosevic was overthrown in 2000 as a result of unrest in Belgrade and was secretly extradited to the international criminal tribunal in the Hague. In 2006, before the trial’s conclusion, he died age 64 in the UN prison there and immediately suspicions were raised, which have persisted, over how he died. https://www.rt.com/news/594825-ruins-of-yugoslavia-25/

Meanwhile Old Corrupt Petulant Joe is abandoning USC hostages again. I guess since none are LGBT+ basketball players it is fine for the truly devout Joe worshippers. As to your comment, which bank or surety company was defrauded? Why was CNN suggesting Trump sell Mar A Lago to cover his bond when the really smart judge said it was only worth $18 million. Why did the Governor of NY have to come out and re-assure the others that play in the NY commercial real estate game that they will not be prosecuted for the same thing since they were not Trump (unless of course they don't toe the Leftist/Democrat line or at least keep campaign money flowing). Whatever, I asked you who was harmed by this farce and have yet to receive a credible answer.

Hmm, most people don't make a screw up like that unless they are quite comfortable using such slurs. Not to worry, the Democrats always repeat history. WATCH: Democrat frontrunner in tight Senate race drops racial slur during House hearing The Democrat frontrunner in what could be one of the most closely watched Senate races this year uttered a racial slur during a Thursday House Budget Committee hearing, something he says was unintentional. Rep. David Trone, D-Md., dropped the disparaging term for Black people while speaking during the hearing about tax policy with Shalanda Young, the director of the Office of Budget and Management, who was testifying before the committee. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/watch-democrat-frontrunner-in-tight-senate-race-drops-racial-slur-during-house-hearing/ar-BB1kjWTX

No one said Trump signed an order, but of course the easily gaslighted (bless their hearts) will spin the narrative anyway they see fit. The offer to bring in the NG was made to the Democrat leaders in charge of the security (Bowser and Pelosi), and was turned down, but at least Nancy Pelosi's daughter got her film. The videos, recorded by Pelosi’s daughter, showed the congresswoman responding to the attack in real time as she negotiated with governors and defense officials in an effort to get Guard troops to the Capitol. In one clip published by CNN, Pelosi can be heard saying that if Trump showed up she would “punch him out.” Some on social media used the occasion to revive baseless claims that Pelosi had stopped a Trump order for tens of thousands of National Guard troops before the event.

Not directly related to Ukraine, so I thought it deserved its own thread. Moscow attack proves Russia — and US — have lost sight of priorities The Islamic State terrorist attack in Moscow is the starkest possible reminder that despite the war in Ukraine, Russia and the West also still have some of the same enemies. What the terrorists — ISIS-K an Afghanistan offshoot of IS took responsibility — did in Moscow, they have done in Paris and Manchester — and will do (and did do, on 9/11) in New York and Washington, if they get the chance. This horror is also a reminder of the fatal results of mutual distrust. It appears that U.S. intelligence warned the Russian government of an impending attack — and President Putin dismissed this as a U.S. “provocation.” In the event that Russian intelligence were to warn the U.S. of a coming terrorist attack, it is only too easy to imagine Washington reacting in the same way. Moreover, the attack should make us think about the degree to which governments and security elites around the world are liable to lose sight of the real interests and safety of their fellow citizens — which it is their first duty to defend. In their obsessive focus on the supposed threat from each other, both the Russian and the U.S. establishments have forgotten this duty. https://responsiblestatecraft.org/moscow-attack-terrorism/

Maybe Mann, and Fauci can be held together. This guy is amazing, and someone needs to find out who is paying his bills. Climate scientist Michael Mann’s defamation case reveals what critics say is unethical behavior Mann is suing Simberg over statements he and Steyn made in articles they posted online. Testimony so far has raised a number of complaints about plaintiff Mann’s behavior toward his critics. One witnesses’ deposition even revealed that Mann had emailed the editor of a scientific journal in 2007 to stop a paper written by another climate scientist from being published by getting hostile peer reviewers assigned to it. Journalists Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney have been at the trial and posting regular podcasts on what's happening in court. The podcast, which has ranked in the top 15 podcasts on Spotify in the science category, highlights testimony in the trial using actors to portray what was said in court. According to a summary of the case that Superior Court of the District of Columbia Judge Alfred Irving gave during the trial, Simberg’s and Steyn’s post compared the Penn State’s investigation into assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, who was found guilty in 2012 of sexually abusing 10 young boys over the course of 15 years, to the investigation of Mann’s research on global historic temperatures as shown in the scientist's controversial hockey stick graph. https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/energy/climate-scientists-defamation-case-reveals-what-critics-say-plaintiffs

It is a good thing to know that Biden's DOJ is still persecuting innocent people to maintain their destructive policies, and also showing their antisemitism. Jewish Doctor Targeted by DOJ After Blowing Whistle on Kids’ Transgender Clinic TEXAS (VINnews) — Last year, a whistleblower report exposed a secret gender-change program on minors at Texas Children’s Hospital. The hospital had promised to stop the procedures but continued to perform transgender medical interventions on children as young as 11. It turns out the whistleblower was former Texas Children’s Hospital general surgeon Dr. Eithan Haim Following the story’s publication, Texas legislators banned all child gender-change procedures statewide, angering left-wing activists and hospital officials, who opposed any restriction on transgender medicine. Then Dr. Haim was hit with revenge and retribution by the government. Federal agents tracked him down and identified him as the whistleblower, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Tina Ansari threatened him with prosecution. On June 23,there was a loud knock from two federal agents from the Department of Health and Human Services saying he was the target of a criminal investigation. https://vinnews.com/2024/01/10/jewish-doctor-targeted-by-doj-after-blowing-whistle-on-kids-transgender-clinic/

So to me this is much more general than just the Hamas terror attacks into Israel (if mods feel otherwise, feel free to put this in the Israel thread). It is certainly true, people usually show their true colors. A great example is the racist attitudes of Old Corrupt Joe which shine through all the time. When People Tell You Who They Are, Believe Them On the one hand I think: surely this will be sufficient. Surely this amount of blood will be enough to shake the world awake. Surely no one can equivocate or justify this. As my friend Sarah Haider wrote, “How easy is it to simply condemn targeted violence against civilians? Can there be a lower bar?” And yet, across the world, people have sunk below it. Here you can watch people gathered at the Sydney Opera House cheering “gas the Jews” and “death to the Jews.” People are rejoicing in the slaughter on the streets of Berlin and London and Toronto and New York. What I do not understand is the three Leftist justices voted in favor of religious rights on the postal worker case released yesterday, but voted against this one released today. Supreme Court rules in favor of Colorado graphic designer who refused to create same-sex wedding websites The U.S. Supreme Court held that a Colorado graphic designer who wants to make wedding websites does not have to create them for same-sex marriages, in a landmark decision that pit the interests of LGBTQ non-discrimination against First Amendment freedom. In a 6-3 decision issued Friday, the high court ruled in favor of artist Lorie Smith, who sued the state over its anti-discrimination law that prohibited businesses providing sales or other accommodations to the public from denying service based on a customer's sexual orientation. Justice Neil Gorsuch authored the majority opinion, which said that, "In this case, Colorado seeks to force an individual to speak in ways that align with its views but defy her conscience about a matter of major significance." https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/supreme-court-rules-in-favor-of-colorado-graphic-designer-who-refused-to-create-same-sex-wedding-websites/ar-AA1dg4M7

If the shoe fits. Twitter criticized after labeling NPR as ‘state-affiliated media’ (NewsNation) — NPR president and CEO John Lansing fired back at Twitter on Wednesday morning after the social media platform put a label on the news organization’s profile calling it “state-affiliated media.” NewsNation partner The Hill reports this designation is one Twitter uses for state news agencies such as Russia’s TASS and China’s Xinhua. “NPR and our Member stations are supported by millions of listeners who depend on us for the independent, fact-based journalism we provide,” Lansing wrote in a statement. “NPR stands for freedom of speech and holding the powerful accountable. It is unacceptable for Twitter to label us this way. A vigorous, vibrant free press is essential to the health of our democracy.” https://www.newsnationnow.com/entertainment-news/media/twitter-npr-state-affiliated-media-ceo-responds/

More from the war on CH4. And yes, this agency is headed by the son of the former top manager of the AFL-CFO. U.S. safety agency to consider ban on gas stoves amid health fears A federal agency says a ban on gas stoves is on the table amid rising concern about harmful indoor air pollutants emitted by the appliances. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission plans to take action to address the pollution, which can cause health and respiratory problems. “This is a hidden hazard,” Richard Trumka Jr., an agency commissioner, said in an interview. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.” https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2023-01-09/us-safety-agency-considers-gas-stove-ban?expandComments=true

Scammers are getting more creative. Be careful. 2 Michigan women tricked by convincing, sophisticated Amazon scam: What to know The calls appear to have three steps: The initial caller claims to be from Amazon and tells you there has been a fraudulent purchase on an Amazon account. Then, the conversation quickly turns to reveal that you have bank accounts with four or five well-known names — Wells Fargo, PNC Bank, Bank of America, Chase and others. Maybe that's where you really bank, maybe you don't and will let it slip where you do have accounts. Last, you're told that someone has used your identity to open up a string of bank accounts. A call that began from Amazon somehow ends up with a federal agent on the line to convince you that you'll be arrested soon because you're now suspected of money laundering. The caller might imply that hundreds of thousands of dollars were transferred into questionable accounts opened with your ID information. https://www.freep.com/story/money/personal-finance/susan-tompor/2022/05/19/amazon-scam-money-laundering/9794344002/
