  1. To be clear, since she is not currently inside the US, adjustment of status is not an option. I know it seems ticky-tack, but the rules are the rules, and people are not allowed to enter the US on a visitor visa with the preconceived intent to stay and adjust status. That being said, she can try and get a B2 visa to visit, but it will be a hard bar to overcome her immigration intent since there is a pending I130 for her. You can also try an expedite (possibly under humanitarian grounds) of her I130 petition (slightly faster, but by no means immediate). Hopefully you have also considered the high price of healthcare here in the US. Good Luck! https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/expedite-requests
  2. It sounds like you are doing DCF, so I guess it can be that fast particularly when a member of the military is involved. Good Luck!
  3. Should be fine, you can change any names on the I130/DS260 at the interview. I would use the template fiancés use for intent to marry and modify it for your purpose. Good Luck! I would love to hear the back story, if you are willing to share, as to how your case ended up like this.
  4. Just adding - in front of a Federal Judge. That may be a stretch, but who knows. At the oath it usually takes between 2-3 hours. About an hour to check everyone in, and depending on the amount of people naturalizing and how long the judge or facilitator talks another 1-1.5 hours to do the oath and pass out the naturalization certificates. Good Luck!
  5. I agree, it could in some circumstances. For instance if you naturalize at a USCIS office that regularly conducts administrative oath ceremonies, those with a name change will need to wait for a judicial oath. Some offices only do judicial oaths, so there would be no delay. As an example, my cousins recently naturalized through the Detroit office with a name change, application late (Nov/Dec) 2023, oath Feb. 22, 2024. That being said, if you desire a name change, doing it through the N400 is a good option. Good Luck!
  6. Well the good thing is you provided the documents, and it is my understanding that the UK consulate is fairly efficient so hopefully you will get good news soon. Good Luck!

A little confusing, are you asking if a query of your B2 history will impact an upcoming application? Assuming so, I don't think so. Good Luck!
  8. You can, or your spouse can take it with them to the interview. Only include your spouse's income if it will continue after she immigrates to the US. An I864A does not seem warranted in this case, but consulates have been known to request them at the interview. You may want to have one filled out for her to take to the interview just in case. The instructions from the consulate seem confusing. With any IR visa application, and I864 is required and all dependents (with a few rare exceptions) regardless of citizenship need to be counted on the I864. Here are a couple of relatively recent threads regarding DCF in Japan that may be helpful as a sort of guide. Good Luck!
  9. Also, "refused" does not mean "denied". A few years ago for some reason the consulates started using the term "refused" instead of "administrative processing" to indicate a visa has not been "issued" yet, but is still under consideration. It took you a couple of months to get the documents you should have already had, it may take a consulate some time to process and verify them before they can make a final decision on the visa. Good Luck!
  10. It appears so. So AR will not allow you to switch the answer in Part 10? Also keep in mind the IO will review the N400 with you at the interview, so any glitches can be corrected at that time. It is also an opportunity to inform USCIS of their issues. IMO most people are doing the online filing, but it is a personal choice. Shouldn't as processing timing is based on your local office. To the best of my knowledge, paper forms are scanned so by hand or using AR should not impact processing. No impact. Good Luck!
  11. Yes, reading questions 15 (both parts), and 16, you are right, question 16 appears not applicable if the answer is No to both parts of 15. I would leave 16 blank. The IO at the interview will review the entire form with you, and if there are any questions at that point you can clarify. It would be interesting to see if doing this online if question 16 even comes up if the answers to 15 is No. Good Luck!
  12. Is the foreign husband currently in the US? I assume that is what you mean. If so, follow this guide. Good Luck!

Cosplaying Student Activists, Including Feminists, Seem to Be Converting to Islam Dr Jordan B Peterson @jordanbpeterson · Follow I predicted exactly this all the way back in 2016 and paid a reputational price for it, commenting on the insane and incomprehensible alliance between "feminists" (those resentful harpies) and Islamic fundamentalists. 14. Yes, just get a ticket and have her come back. Again, as others have said, she should not agree to sign an I407 or give up her GC. If you are quite worried, maybe look at coming across a land border. Good Luck!
  15. If the moderators wish to move this to CEHST, I am fine with that. Robbery, fatal shooting revealed as elaborate visa fraud scheme Police believe the motive was to leverage their status as crime victims to apply for a U nonimmigrant visa, known as a “U visa.” Investigations revealed that the robbery was part of a larger scheme involving insurance and immigration fraud. The charging documents indicate that not only was the robbery staged, but several other similar incidents occurred across the area, implicating multiple individuals, including store clerks. https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2024/04/06/robbery-fatal-shooting-revealed-as-elaborate-visa-fraud-scheme/

  17. Maybe Mann, and Fauci can be held together. This guy is amazing, and someone needs to find out who is paying his bills. Climate scientist Michael Mann’s defamation case reveals what critics say is unethical behavior Mann is suing Simberg over statements he and Steyn made in articles they posted online. Testimony so far has raised a number of complaints about plaintiff Mann’s behavior toward his critics. One witnesses’ deposition even revealed that Mann had emailed the editor of a scientific journal in 2007 to stop a paper written by another climate scientist from being published by getting hostile peer reviewers assigned to it. Journalists Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney have been at the trial and posting regular podcasts on what's happening in court. The podcast, which has ranked in the top 15 podcasts on Spotify in the science category, highlights testimony in the trial using actors to portray what was said in court. According to a summary of the case that Superior Court of the District of Columbia Judge Alfred Irving gave during the trial, Simberg’s and Steyn’s post compared the Penn State’s investigation into assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, who was found guilty in 2012 of sexually abusing 10 young boys over the course of 15 years, to the investigation of Mann’s research on global historic temperatures as shown in the scientist's controversial hockey stick graph. https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/energy/climate-scientists-defamation-case-reveals-what-critics-say-plaintiffs
  18. It is a good thing to know that Biden's DOJ is still persecuting innocent people to maintain their destructive policies, and also showing their antisemitism. Jewish Doctor Targeted by DOJ After Blowing Whistle on Kids’ Transgender Clinic TEXAS (VINnews) — Last year, a whistleblower report exposed a secret gender-change program on minors at Texas Children’s Hospital. The hospital had promised to stop the procedures but continued to perform transgender medical interventions on children as young as 11. It turns out the whistleblower was former Texas Children’s Hospital general surgeon Dr. Eithan Haim Following the story’s publication, Texas legislators banned all child gender-change procedures statewide, angering left-wing activists and hospital officials, who opposed any restriction on transgender medicine. Then Dr. Haim was hit with revenge and retribution by the government. Federal agents tracked him down and identified him as the whistleblower, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Tina Ansari threatened him with prosecution. On June 23,there was a loud knock from two federal agents from the Department of Health and Human Services saying he was the target of a criminal investigation. https://vinnews.com/2024/01/10/jewish-doctor-targeted-by-doj-after-blowing-whistle-on-kids-transgender-clinic/
  19. So to me this is much more general than just the Hamas terror attacks into Israel (if mods feel otherwise, feel free to put this in the Israel thread). It is certainly true, people usually show their true colors. A great example is the racist attitudes of Old Corrupt Joe which shine through all the time. When People Tell You Who They Are, Believe Them On the one hand I think: surely this will be sufficient. Surely this amount of blood will be enough to shake the world awake. Surely no one can equivocate or justify this. As my friend Sarah Haider wrote, “How easy is it to simply condemn targeted violence against civilians? Can there be a lower bar?” And yet, across the world, people have sunk below it. Here you can watch people gathered at the Sydney Opera House cheering “gas the Jews” and “death to the Jews.” People are rejoicing in the slaughter on the streets of Berlin and London and Toronto and New York. Supreme Court rules in favor of Colorado graphic designer who refused to create same-sex wedding websites The U.S. Supreme Court held that a Colorado graphic designer who wants to make wedding websites does not have to create them for same-sex marriages, in a landmark decision that pit the interests of LGBTQ non-discrimination against First Amendment freedom. In a 6-3 decision issued Friday, the high court ruled in favor of artist Lorie Smith, who sued the state over its anti-discrimination law that prohibited businesses providing sales or other accommodations to the public from denying service based on a customer's sexual orientation. Justice Neil Gorsuch authored the majority opinion, which said that, "In this case, Colorado seeks to force an individual to speak in ways that align with its views but defy her conscience about a matter of major significance." https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/supreme-court-rules-in-favor-of-colorado-graphic-designer-who-refused-to-create-same-sex-wedding-websites/ar-AA1dg4M7
  21. If the shoe fits. Twitter criticized after labeling NPR as ‘state-affiliated media’ (NewsNation) — NPR president and CEO John Lansing fired back at Twitter on Wednesday morning after the social media platform put a label on the news organization’s profile calling it “state-affiliated media.” NewsNation partner The Hill reports this designation is one Twitter uses for state news agencies such as Russia’s TASS and China’s Xinhua. “NPR and our Member stations are supported by millions of listeners who depend on us for the independent, fact-based journalism we provide,” Lansing wrote in a statement. “NPR stands for freedom of speech and holding the powerful accountable. It is unacceptable for Twitter to label us this way. A vigorous, vibrant free press is essential to the health of our democracy.” https://www.newsnationnow.com/entertainment-news/media/twitter-npr-state-affiliated-media-ceo-responds/

U.S. safety agency to consider ban on gas stoves amid health fears A federal agency says a ban on gas stoves is on the table amid rising concern about harmful indoor air pollutants emitted by the appliances. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission plans to take action to address the pollution, which can cause health and respiratory problems. “This is a hidden hazard,” Richard Trumka Jr., an agency commissioner, said in an interview. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.” https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2023-01-09/us-safety-agency-considers-gas-stove-ban?expandComments=true
  23. Assault on our Republic? Armed suspect accused of violent threats against Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh identified An armed man was arrested near the Maryland home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh Wednesday morning, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News. The suspect, 26-year-old Nicholas John Roske of Simi Valley, California, was carrying a gun, knife and pepper spray when arrested and had made violent threats against Kavanaugh, sources said. Roske was picked up on a nearby street after calling police on 911 to report himself. He did not get to the Kavanaugh home. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/supreme-court-justice-kavanaugh-home-armed-man-arrested
  24. Scammers are getting more creative. Be careful. 2 Michigan women tricked by convincing, sophisticated Amazon scam: What to know The calls appear to have three steps: The initial caller claims to be from Amazon and tells you there has been a fraudulent purchase on an Amazon account. Then, the conversation quickly turns to reveal that you have bank accounts with four or five well-known names — Wells Fargo, PNC Bank, Bank of America, Chase and others. Maybe that's where you really bank, maybe you don't and will let it slip where you do have accounts. Last, you're told that someone has used your identity to open up a string of bank accounts. A call that began from Amazon somehow ends up with a federal agent on the line to convince you that you'll be arrested soon because you're now suspected of money laundering. The caller might imply that hundreds of thousands of dollars were transferred into questionable accounts opened with your ID information. https://www.freep.com/story/money/personal-finance/susan-tompor/2022/05/19/amazon-scam-money-laundering/9794344002/
  25. In the theme of our current vacation to the Arches/Canyonlands area in Utah, just wondering what everyone’s favorite National park/monuments/seashores are? I still love Death Valley, but the others we have visited, Yellowstone, Badlands, Arches, Grand Canyon, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Mt. Rushmore, Cuyahoga Valley, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Indiana Dunes, Cumberland Gap are all great in their own way.
