  1. It kind of surprised me that someone who works at Oberlin College actually had some sense. I wonder if another big lawsuit is in order? Oberlin College coach reassigned over stance on trans athletes, says new role has 'no contact with students' "I have been taken out of the role of coach, which is what I've done for 27 years," she told "America's Newsroom" Tuesday. "I've been a P.E. teacher, a coach and a teacher of programs of wellness, yoga, all sorts of things, kickboxing…and [been] asked to take a role as employee wellness program manager, which would have no contact with students and be creating things - which is paperwork." Russell, who served as head coach for five years at the Ohio liberal arts school, said she has been ridiculed by administrators and players after sharing her views on social media on transgender swimmer Lia Thomas' NCAA championship win in 2022. https://www.foxnews.com/media/oberlin-college-coach-reassigned-stance-trans-athletes-says-new-role-contact-students
  2. I guess she thinks things put on the internet are meant to be private. To me that shows a complete lack of intelligence.
  3. I understand AOC felt threatened, but I agree, these folks were trespassing, and should be prosecuted as those from Jan. 6.
  4. You can probably file the I130 for your brother as it will take years, and is not a bad idea to get into the system.
  5. no, each person that wants to apply for a B2 needs their own DS160. you are just being honest as to the plans as they stand now. No, each DS160 is processed separately, so it could be any combination of approval and denials. Good Luck!
  6. Not really much you can do about it at this point. You can roll the dice and hopes the CO finds this a non issue, or you can get legally married and start the spousal visa process. Good Luck!
  7. Hmm, so even "progressives" can be petulant and a bit insurrectiony. Protesters storm Kevin McCarthy's office over HIV bill, get dragged out by cops Protesters stormed House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's Congressional office on Tuesday, demanding that he and other House Republicans re-up funding for an AIDs relief program. Protesters with Housing Works pressed their way into McCarthy's office and refused to move until Capitol Hill Police arrived and arrested them. The group was demanding a 5-year reauthorization of the PEPFAR global AIDs relief program, which they say has saved "25 million lives." https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/protesters-storm-kevin-mccarthys-office-over-hiv-bill-get-dragged-out-by-cops/ar-AA1gAWHi#image=1
  8. Hmm, seems pretty petulant. Biden Announces 'I'm Going to Go to Bed' During Press Conference in Vietnam Then he added, “But I’ll tell you what, I don’t know about you, but I’m going to go to bed.” https://ijr.com/biden-announces-going-bed-press-conference-vietnam/
  9. The only issue as @Mike E pointed out is what happens if the I751 is denied while the person is outside the country. The OP needs to weigh that potential based on their own I751 submission as there is not enough information in this thread for others to have an opinion on that.
  10. Of course she can't as Democrats support abortion up to birth with no restrictions. Kamala Harris Refuses to Cite a Single Abortion Restriction She Supports https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/09/11/kamala-harris-wont-cite-single-abortion-restriction-she-supports/
  11. Let's see, Abbott bused a little more than 13k immigrants to NYC. It seems the overwhelming numbers are coming from another source. Maybe Adams needs to go back down to DC so the Biden team can snub him again. https://nypost.com/2023/09/06/texas-gov-greg-abbot-says-the-state-has-bused-35k-migrants-to-sanctuary-cities/
  12. Didn't a lot of wealthy taxpayers recently leave NYC?
  13. Probably not. I am surprised this person is generally staying in the area although it is not completely clear from the news reports.
  14. This 👇 Leaving aside the faulty logic of these claims, Fauci’s reluctant recognition of the lack of community protection offered by masks is utterly at odds with some of his own previous assertions. In fact, Fauci’s position on masks has always been inconsistent.
  15. Democrats and so called "progressives" don't give a you know what about free speech, or for that matter any other parts of the Constitution. Obama said it, and I am sure other "progressives" as well, of how restrictive the Constitution is toward the government. Darned ,Founding Fathers, they actually were against oppressive governments the "progressives" so desire.
  16. More than likely a feature they do not need or want. How many unused apps do you have on your phone? Vehicles are essentially just tablets on wheels hoovering up personal information so someone can profit. Now I do not have a problem with someone making a profit, but in this case it seems so coercive and in some ways underhanded. Let people know what you are doing and let them have an honest way to opt out. I am sure there are plenty of folks willing to part with their privacy, heck, how many folks have smart speakers, or other smart devices listening to them in their homes.
  17. Yep, just more government speak. The Biden Administration Misleads the Public on the Vast Expanses of Land Needed for 'Net Zero' https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2023/09/12/the_biden_administration_vastly_misleads_the_public_on_the_vast_expanses_of_land_needed_for_net_zero_977662.html
  18. If Democrats did not have double standards, they would have no standards at all. Incredible: Chicago Teachers Union Boss Accidentally Champions School Choice Let's start by examining with the very beginning and very end of this excerpt. She claims that policies in Chicago are written by "millionaires" and "billionaires," labeling these bogeymen "violent forces." She also writes that the Powers That Be "engage in fraudulent practices" resulting in "substandard services to Black and Brown families." Chicago is one of the bluest cities in the country, located in a Democrat-dominated state. Unions wield more influence in Illinois, and Cook County in particular, than almost anywhere else in the United States. If Ms. Davis-Gates really believes that Chicago's institutions are shot through with systemic racism, and that families of color are being forced into "substandard services," she's really indicting her political party, her ideology, and her union. They run the state and the town. They have for generations. The more important takeaway from her missive is the powerful case she makes for school choice, albeit inadvertently. She explains that she and her husband decided that a private school was the best fit for their son because he wants to "live out his dream as a soccer player." Not only that, they also preferred the private school's curriculum that can fulfuill her child's "social and emotional needs." She admits that her local public school doesn't offer these opportunities to her satisfaction, so she's doing what is best for her kid. But a primary purpose of her job as a union boss is to fight against other, poorer parents' ability to make precisely the sort of choices and calculations that she has. She wants their children stuck in the failing schools she represents. This is callous. This is deeply hypocritical. And it's 'privilege' of the worst sort. Another teachers union boss was on television this weekend arguing for increased levels of more "equitable" spending as the supposed solution to serious problems in our education system. We'll get to her predictable talking points below, but first let's review how serious matters have gotten: https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2023/09/11/teachers-union-boss-accidentally-endorses-school-choice-n2628208
  19. Not sure what the Farmer's Almanac is saying about the predicted snow this year, but I suspect we will have quite a bit because of this. Heck, Lake Powell and Lake Mead may be full next Summer. https://www.nasa.gov/feature/jpl/tonga-eruption-blasted-unprecedented-amount-of-water-into-stratosphere
  20. Granholm was a joke when she was governor of Michigan, and she is still a joke today. I wish she would go back to Canada.
  21. The reported processing times (for 80% of applications) for the I485 at the Louisville field office is about 13 months. So maybe an interview in December 2023, or 1st quarter 2024. Good Luck! https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
  22. In my opinion, if your end goal is naturalization, I would file the N400 and get that clock ticking. As @Scandi mentioned, you get a fair amount of notice for an interview. In the end though, it is up to you. Good Luck!
  23. Since you are living together at the same address, you can file the I864A. (Sorry, not a good idea as this would need to be attached to your daughter's I864 and also signed by your daughter) That being said, if you, as the co-sponsor, are married, your wife should fill out an I864A to go with your I864 as the co-sponsor. Many consulates require this. Good Luck!
