  1. If the wedding date is set, then you can take this time to research and plan your immigration journey. You are right, the I130 is the first step once you get married, and in general, a spousal visa is a far superior to a fiancé visa. You will also need to fill out the I130A, and eventually an I864 once the process reaches the consulate in 18-24 months after filing the I130. Since she has a B2, she can enter the US to get married, but she cannot legally enter the US with the intent to stay permanently until she has been issued the spousal visa. You did not mention where the wedding will take place though, so this may not be an issue. As to using a lawyer, that is up to you. If you have a complicated case such as overstays, removals, criminal records, etc., an attorney may be necessary, but if you are a competent researcher, can read, understand and fill out fairly simple government forms, and there are no complications, you can avoid the attorney and do it yourself with help from forums like VJ with specific questions. If an attorney is used, just make sure that using them requires you and your future spouse to be vigilant as to what they are doing, you will also have to gather all the information they need. Here is the guide for a spousal visa. Good Luck!
  2. When people are not arrested or prosecuted for crimes, it seems that would lead to lower statistics.
  3. That is Dr. First Lady Dr. Jill Biden to the likes of you and me.
  4. That is what I was thinking as well. My wife had been talking to some folks that suggested it, but yes, she would need to take a car service across the border. We are leaning toward Dubai to Novosibirsk.
  5. What is the temperature? If warm, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy. If not so warm, maybe a nice wheat ale.
  6. Trying a new IPA today, Short’s Freedom of ‘78, brewed with pink guava. Pretty tasty! 😀

  9. Daniel Penny’s Indictment Deserves The Level Of Outrage Trump’s Got U.S. Marine Corps veteran Daniel Penny was reportedly indicted by a Manhattan grand jury on Wednesday for defending New York City subway passengers from an erratic and threatening homeless man. The incident in question occurred on May 21, when Jordan Neely — who had been arrested 44 times for “criminal conduct” and, at the time, “had an outstanding warrant for felony assault” — began threatening and getting violent with NYC subway passengers. During the episode, Neely allegedly kept repeating the phrases, “I’m going to kill you,” “I’m prepared to go to jail for life,” and “I’m willing to die.” In response, Penny and two of his fellow passengers attempted to restrain Neely, which involved the former placing the latter in a headlock. Neely ultimately died during the encounter, with NYC’s medical examiner ruling the death a homicide. According to sources who spoke with Fox News, Penny is being indicted “on one count each of criminally negligent homicide and second-degree manslaughter.” If convicted of the latter charge, Penny could face five to 15 years in prison. https://thefederalist.com/2023/06/16/daniel-pennys-indictment-deserves-the-level-of-outrage-trumps-got/
  10. Great analysis, very well written and not full of hyperbole. It is interesting that the DoJ was trying to blackmail the lawyer (Woodward) representing Trump's aide Walt Nauta, it doesn't suwrprise me though as the Left will cross every ethical line. I also found this in the Twitter Thread. More proof of our DC Establishment banana republic condition. Hmm, following the Andrew Weissmann playbook I see. The DOJ And Special Counsel Jack Smith’s Sordid History Of Weaponizing The Espionage Act Barely two weeks ago, the lawfare cabal at Just Security, led by Andrew Weissmann, the former senior prosecutor for the Robert Mueller special counsel investigation, released the second edition of their “model prosecution memorandum” to (presumably) help out his former colleagues at the Department of Justice (DOJ). The document seeks to offer up nearly any theory of law to “get Trump.” Just Security bills itself as “an online forum for the rigorous analysis of security, democracy, foreign policy, and rights,” but in practice, the organization, funded in part by George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, is the legal beachhead of the Trump resistance. Their model document provides 186 pages of “throw the book at him” musings along with 222 separate footnotes and has largely telegraphed the DOJ’s legal strategy. The document is supported by a variety of public and nonpublic allegations (surely a mixture of leaked information and fabricated information if history is any guide). The fact that their roadmap nearly parallels the now-public indictment of former President Donald Trump is surely a coincidence.y https://thefederalist.com/2023/06/15/the-doj-and-special-counsel-jack-smiths-sordid-history-of-weaponizing-the-espionage-act/
  11. Now this seems more of a bombshell than any Leftist attorney orgasming over the latest Trump indictment. And given the events of the DoJ going after Joe Biden's political enemy all while leaving him alone for doing worse seems to add credence to the banana republic nature of our establishment in DC.
