  1. Do you have 10 yr GCs or 2 yr GCs? If you haven’t signed the I407, not really sure why an ESTA was issued as technically you are still LPRs. If you have 10 yr GCs, file an I90, and when you get the receipt come to Canada and enter the US at a land border.
  2. I always love these behavior and body language “experts”. Interesting profession that cannot be verified, but the Democrats love that.
  3. I agree with what was said above, but for us we only sent the bank information showing we had separate accounts, but we each were listed as co-owners of each others accounts.
  4. It is not too difficult to understand at least here in the US. The powers that be, particularly the powers in DC (elected and bureaucratic) need to maintain division in the population and this is just another way to do it.
  5. Canada will lock you up though if you have not reached the proper level of wokiness. I guess that is expected given that Canada is run by the illegitimate son of Fidel Castro.
  6. My wife traveled like this for years until she naturalized and now she has her US passport in her married name. When her GC and Russian passport name did not match, she always booked the tickets in the name on her Russian passport and carried a copy of the marriage certificate with her. After traveling like this for a little more than 3 years, I don't believe any CBP officer ever asked to see the marriage certificate when she was re-entering the US with her GC in her married name. Now she uses her US Passport except for domestic Russian flights. This is very common particularly from former Soviet Union countries. Good Luck!
  7. So you will need to have the divorce documents at some point. Are these easy to get? They should have all the information you need.
  8. AP includes things like actually affixing the visa to the passport, additional background checks, supervisory reviews, etc. Again, just because a CO at the interview said approved, the visa is not actually approved until the immigrant has their passport in hand with the visa in it after all the t's have been crossed and i's dotted. There are many stories here where a CO said approved, then the application went into AP for various times, and as already said, AP is not something that can be expedited. Search here on VJ words like "administrative processing", "refused" (don't confuse this with "denied"), or "issued". Good Luck!
  9. Happy Juneteenth. Apparently a day for celebrating federal bureaucracy inefficiency. Which date is more important, January 1, 1863 or June 19, 1865? America Celebrates Juneteenth, The Day Republicans Freed All The Democrats' Slaves WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Senate has unanimously passed a resolution to recognize Juneteenth as a federal holiday, commemorating the glorious day Republicans freed the last of the Democrats' slaves. "We are so proud to show the world how not racist we are by officially recognizing the day the Republicans came charging in to free all our slaves," said Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer. "Yeah-- we Democrats did a little 'whoopsie' with that whole slavery thing, but the Republicans corrected it. Thanks, Republicans!" https://babylonbee.com/news/congress-passes-law-to-recognize-juneteenth-the-day-republicans-freed-all-the-democrats-slaves
  10. Could be, could be someone is on vacation. Unfortunately no one knows for certain, so we are all just guessing. Good Luck!
  11. Isn't the President head of the DoE and DoD? Since you did not provide a link for this story, I added it below, and also included the part that other experts disagree with the conclusion made in the headline. Always good to keep our minds open. I know you would rather hype the Leftist media like Salon, NPR, WaPa, etc., that are breathlessly covering Trump all the while ignoring the elephant in the room dealing with Old Corrupt Joe and his financial gain from his political influence. Does that mean you are fine with a politician selling his influence? The current, not former, President? Not everyone agrees that the president lacks the power to declassify nuclear data.  David Jonas, who served for 10 years as general counsel for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration, the Department of Energy division that oversees the nuclear arsenal, said Trump had the constitutional authority to declassify all classified documents under the "unitary executive theory," which holds that Congress cannot limit the president’s control over the executive branch. “The president is the executive branch and so he can declassify anything that is nuclear information,” he said. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-lacked-power-to-declassify-secret-nuclear-arms-document-experts-say/ar-AA1cJFF5
  12. It seems obvious there is no defense of Old Corrupt Joe Biden and Dr. First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden for their political corruption other than Orange Man Bad. Like the BLM/Antifa folks like to say "silence is violence", in this case silence shows that one agrees with and affirms Old Corrupt Joe selling his influence for personal gain.
  13. I have heard many stories of U-Haul trailers not being maintained. Personally, my friends were hauling a vehicle from MI to AZ and one of the wheels came off in OK. To the OP, I agree with @Lemonslice, I would look at using PODS, or transferring to a US rented truck soon after crossing the border. Good Luck!
  14. A lot of folks are in similar situations especially couples or individuals that come to the US on diversity visas. Our cousins were like that back in early 2019, no jobs, no place to live, etc. We helped them out to get started, and they got a car fairly soon after arriving, started working in whatever job they could find (Walmart, Amazon, etc.), until they could find jobs in the fields they desired. It takes time, but if ambitious, not as long as you may think. My suggestion is if the in-laws are willing to put up with you for 6-12 months until you can get on your feet, take advantage of it, come back to the US and start working even in a menial job until you can get better employment. Good Luck!
  15. Unfortunately it is just a waiting game until CEAC shows the visa has been "issued" regardless of what a CO said at the interview. You can try contacting the consulate, but more than likely you will just get a form response, etc. Good Luck! Hopefully, you will hear something soon.
  16. If the wedding date is set, then you can take this time to research and plan your immigration journey. You are right, the I130 is the first step once you get married, and in general, a spousal visa is a far superior to a fiancé visa. You will also need to fill out the I130A, and eventually an I864 once the process reaches the consulate in 18-24 months after filing the I130. Since she has a B2, she can enter the US to get married, but she cannot legally enter the US with the intent to stay permanently until she has been issued the spousal visa. You did not mention where the wedding will take place though, so this may not be an issue. As to using a lawyer, that is up to you. If you have a complicated case such as overstays, removals, criminal records, etc., an attorney may be necessary, but if you are a competent researcher, can read, understand and fill out fairly simple government forms, and there are no complications, you can avoid the attorney and do it yourself with help from forums like VJ with specific questions. If an attorney is used, just make sure that using them requires you and your future spouse to be vigilant as to what they are doing, you will also have to gather all the information they need. Here is the guide for a spousal visa. Good Luck!
