  1. Moved to the RUB forum for answers specific to Belarus.
  2. OK, now I am confused. You mentioned she has an appointment with the consulate to renew her GC. Consulates do not renew GC to the best of my knowledge, so I assumed the appointment was for an SB1 visa. Not really sure now what has gone on or will be going on.
  3. I use the pen and paper method which works well when needing to apply for a visa for some countries that ask for my 10yr travel history.
  4. First, you have it in the right forum as you are really at the I751 stage right now. At this point I would just worry about the I751 as you will not be able to file the N400 until 90 days prior to your GC date in 2026, sometime around September 2026 about a year after submitting the I751. Now this assumes you are still married, and will be filing under the 3yr rule. Your kids will not need to submit separate N400s and will become USCs when you naturalize. Good Luck!
  5. If she is pursuing the SB-1, she needs to research that process very well. As others have said, these visas tend to be very rare, and grudgingly issued, so she needs to make sure she has the evidence of her need to stay outside the US for so long. Good Luck!
  6. I90 is an online application, can be filled out from just about anywhere if one has a US based way to pay for it.
  7. Happy belated birthday! 🎂 Was that the day the poo flinging started?
  8. Anther option after filing the I90 and getting the NOA for her GC renewal is fly to Canada, and cross into the U.S. via a land border. Depending on your location, this may not be entirely convenient, but it might be easier.
  9. I am curious as to the timeline you mentioned. You mentioned your grandmother passed (sorry for your loss) two years ago (maybe I misunderstood), why did she not come back earlier (no need to get into personal details, I am just curious). As @Crazy Cat pointed out, she should be allowed entry with the potential of being detained, or given a notice to appear before an immigration judge, but I would file the I90 for her GC renewal first so she has that NOA with her to better prove her intentions to repatriate after taking care of her mother’s affairs. The current administration appears to be cracking down more on these scenarios (anecdotal stories), but she does have a pretty good reason for being out so long. Best case, she is allowed entry with instructions as to how to apply for a re-entry permit, worst case, she is detained and sent before an IJ. Good Luck!
  10. Hmm, well if in Utah as a tourist, more than likely these are areas you would not explore given the amount of NPs, and NMs in Utah. If going specifically for hunting or fishing, then one would need a license anyway. Btw, those NPs and NMs have an entrance fee as well.
  11. Probably was our same experience, hard to remember that far back. But I do recall it being mostly a biometrics appointment. We headed to one of the land crossings with Canada which brings up another question, how does one apply for GE from outside the US? Reading a bit on the program, it appears one can apply depending on the country and the agreements in place, but the final appointment (I will not call it an interview) will be either upon arrival or after entering the US. Here is the relevant agreement with Japan. https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/international-arrangements/japan
  12. So just over 2 years, and I assume without a re-entry permit? Is the GC actually expired?
  13. A valid U.S. passport should suffice to prove your USC status. That being said, for question 38, you have to answer yes since you did receive a CoN, but if you don’t have it, or lost it, I would put “unknown” for the number, and if you don’t remember place or date of your oath ceremony, you can put the same there. Good Luck!
  14. Actually, there is an interview when applying for GE the first time, or at least there was when my wife and I first applied about six years ago. The renewal did not require an interview.
  15. Yes to camera, no to file access. I don’t have anything on my work phone anyway, but it did need camera access to take a picture.
  16. Put it on my work phone. Actually installed it upon landing while transiting to the immigration arrivals hall.
  17. I agree with @S2N, it depends on the airport. On a recent flight from London to Wash. DC (Dulles), the app allowed us to breeze right through immigration in a dedicated line for the app where no one was waiting, so we were able to make a 1 hr connection easily. In Detroit, the lines are usually not too long even when 3-4 flights arrive around the same time, and I did not see a dedicated app line.
  18. To add to the Global Entry suggestion, she also should look into the the Global Entry app. Last time I entered the US I used the GE App and was asked no questions. Not sure it is the same for a visitor coming on ESTA, but who knows.
  19. My only suggestion is she may want to rethink the 60 here, 60 out plan. As mentioned, that may raise flags on the 2nd or 3rd entry. Maybe lengthen the stay outside to like 90 days, or shorten the subsequent trips, or something like that. Honestly, it is natural for a parent to want to keep an eye on their children particularly when they are moving a couple of thousand miles away, so I doubt she will have much problem. Good Luck!
  20. A fine upstanding illegal alien. Woman Charged With Staging Hoax Immigration “Kidnapping,” Blaming ICE Agents “Video surveillance – including video of Calderon leaving the Jack in the Box parking lot and getting into a nearby sedan – as well as telephone records demonstrate Calderon fabricated the entire story,” the DOJ states. https://www.yahoo.com/news/woman-charged-staging-hoax-immigration-154656116.html
  21. Shouldn't be an issue staying with in-laws. The main thing she wants to avoid is mentioning or referencing anything that could be considered work. Visiting her children and staying at the in-laws for a month or two should not be an issue. Good Luck!
  22. Be as relaxed as you can be. Bring some photos of you together with your now spouse. I know when my wife and I had her AOS interview, the IO enjoyed looking at the wedding photos. Be honest, and answer the questions from the IO. Good Luck!
