  1. This is so true. I am all for using technology for my benefit, but yes, there are definitely drawbacks involved. For instance, I will not connect any home appliances to the net, no connected garage door, or thermostat, etc. Sure there is a measure of convenience to doing this, but there are also drawbacks that I would rather not deal with.
  2. I agree, no need for a new DS160, just continue the K1 with the current passport number, start the passport renewal process (take a phot of the current passport bio page in case Nigeria does not return the expired passport), and update the information with the consulate officer when the K1 interview come up. Good Luck!
  3. USCIS? Aren't B2's handled exclusively by the DoS?
  4. It is possible this could cause a slight delay, but it is better than the delay of needing to respond to an RFE.
  5. Sounds like at least 2 or so years looking at the most current visa bulletin. They are currently dealing with petitions filed in 2008 for the F4 category. Good Luck! https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Bulletins/visabulletin_September2025.pdf
  6. To be honest, I have not jumped on the AI bandwagon as of yet. With all the errors we see in AI output regarding immigration, it seems AI is not really all there yet and may never be as long as there are people and algos able to control the output. If this is correct, the parents claims, it could be a big hit, and I can see others jumping on the bandwagon in a myriad of social engineering claims. ChatGPT ‘coached’ suicidal teenager to kill himself, parents claim Court documents claim the 16-year-old mentioned suicide 213 times in fewer than seven months, discussed hanging himself 42 times, and referenced nooses 17 times. ChatGPT had actively encouraged his fixation by mentioning suicide 1,275 times “six times more often than Adam himself”, the filing alleges. https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/chatgpt-coached-suicidal-teenager-tie-225840899.html
  7. Love the double talk. 'she acted with integrity...', but 'breached the ministerial code over taxes...'. I also love the 1st grade scrawl from Starmer.
  8. Well anything under 50% would be a minority.
  9. Of course the question that always comes up is how well would a natural born USC do on the test? And then there is this.
  10. I know, very old thread with NB's first profile pictures. Anyway, I did a search and this was the newest non-controversial thread, so this seems appropriate here. Apparently this little boy likes his Chick-fil-A for breakfast. Video: Florida boy found at Chick-fil-A after escaping home JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 5-year-old Florida boy's fast food adventure is getting attention on social media after officers put out a video showing him enjoying breakfast with workers at Chick-fil-A, where the child had wandered alone earlier this summer. https://www.fox13news.com/news/video-florida-boy-found-chick-fil-a-after-escaping-home
  11. This is what we did back when my now wife and I were pursuing a K1 for her. We focused on the K1 and eventual AOS, and then once she had her GC we had a wedding celebration with our family in Russia. It worked out quite well.
  12. Should not be an issue, but of course entry on a B2 is never guaranteed. Having a good travel record is a plus. Good Luck!
  13. This is the recent debate that affects those that come on a spousal visa. One of the requirements to file under the 3 yr rule is living in a marital union for 3 yrs at the time of filing (not at the interview or oath date). This may preclude some that entered on a spousal visa from filing 90 days early. Apparently, this is being scrutinized more now.
  14. This may be helpful. Additionally, if called for an interview, the IO will review the form with you and allow for corrections. That being said, I would bring it up at your biometrics appointment (if you have one), and also contact USCIS. Maybe prepare a corrected form to take with you to any appointments you are called for. Good Luck! https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/made-mistake-immigration-form-how-correct-it.html
  15. This might be helpful as a similar situation. Make sure you take the relevant documents (child’s BC and passport) with you to the interview. Good Luck!
  16. Yes it would count. For instance a married couple (one USC and one a foreign national) living together outside the U.S. pursue DCF, and enter the U.S. with the foreign national spouse becoming an LPR still retains their time outside the U.S. as living in marital union without a break. So the LPR spouse can utilize the 90 day early filing option if filing the N400, just make sure you document the entire three plus years of living in a marital union before filing.
  17. Yes from the standpoint of having evidence of a marital union. Good Luck!
  18. Most of the items you mentioned here are considered secondary evidence. I would focus on things such as the mortgage you mentioned, maybe insurance documents, insurance beneficiary documents (if you have life insurance), utility bills if you can add her name, etc. Good Luck!
  19. What did you submit with the I130 petition? Also, was there an RFE at some point since submitting?
  20. At least you spelled it correctly.
  21. Keep in mind the OP is the USC petitioner, but I agree with sending copies and retaining the original documents from the courts/police.
  22. Interesting, but apparently the law actually requires it and it was done though most of the 60's 70's, and 80's. Hmm, it also says it may look for affidavits for those filing N400's. Maybe this would nullify neighborhood checks.
