Arturo and I met in April of 2004 when I was in Costa Rica for a medical Spanish course - he was the guest lecturer the first day! Though I was only there 2 weeks, we spent as much time together as possible, then began emailing and soon talking by phone. I returned in August for 1 week, then he came to the States for 3 weeks around Christmas. I made one more short trip February of 2005 before spending 6 months there that summer. He proposed in 9/19/05 and we had the ceremoney 9/19/06. We are currently living in the Detroit area (for the short-term), just had his naturalization interview yesterday (approved!) and his oath ceremony is tomorrow! Yippie!
