Our case status was updated to "card production" today. VJ stopped notifying me of new posts to this thread for some reason so I've been MIA.. which honestly, really helped with the anxiety of still waiting while some of you guys who filed after us were getting approved before us.

The alert regarding case transfer you speak of... Is it to CSC or local office? I mean did you get any sort of mail correspondence form anywhere stating your case has been transferred? If yes, then I don't think you need to worry. If not, I'd suggest you talk to Tier 2 officer on 800 number and ask them the address being used and where is your case presently

The alert was a text/email message saying the case was transferred and received by Local office. i Did not get any mail correspondence saying it was transferred or received by local office, just email/text. Thats why i am worried. The i-751 application does have our current address though, so i am thinking it should be fine as jc84 suggessted above.

Pls i need urgetnt response on this. How do i find out the current address used in my application. While i got all my letters from VSC about my application because my application had my new address before we applied. But i never did change of address with USCIS from my old address during the adjustment of status stage. I thought i didn't need to since my removal of conditions application has the new address as current address. But since they have transfered my case to the local office, i don't know if the local office will send me letters to the old address?? I never got letters from the local office acknowledging the transfer of my case to them from VSC, but i did get a text/email notification/alert.

Please someone help...cause i am afraid maybe the local office is still using my old address that was used in the adjstment of status stage.

We are going to call and ask them what we can provide, because we don't have any of the things they listed.

We don't have a joint account, we don't have any car payments, the lease and all the utility bills are on my husband, we don't have any children at this point, we don't have joint credit card.

Only thing we can think of right now is to have our neighbors to write a letter.

Or just tell them that they are always welcome to visit us, and schedule an interview with us?

Anyhow, not having the things they listed is just how we are, so we will have to see...

I'm expecting we should start hearing back in the next few weeks....either approvals or RFE's.

Just wanted to check back in again as we received the new GC in the mail today (wow, seeing 2024 printed on there seems like such a long time away, haha). I really can't believe they mailed it so quickly after approval (we received notice of that just 2 days ago). It came via Priority.

I, too, was expecting an RFE because we mailed copies of our tax returns instead of official IRS transcripts... apparently not a problem. Or thinking they'd want more "proofs" or such because while we do have all joint accounts, we have no kids, no joint health or life insurance, and only 1 car, registered and insured to me only. Some folks here on VJ seemed to think all those things were major calls for RFE's... or maybe we just got lucky.

And truly, I wasn't expecting to even hear a peep about any of it for another couple months at least. Very thankful that they're moving right along. For those still waiting, I'm sure it will come very soon now!

...by this time next year, we'll be in the Citizenship process! Cheers!

Hi Ibrahim, Yes it is normal for them to keep your green card! Since your passport has been stamped, that is all you need to re-enter the US if you travel abroad. No need to fret.

Gosh the wait is becoming unnerving....I am actually expecting an RFE but i'm not afraid, in a way at least i will know exactly what they want.

How is everyone getting text and email alerts? Was it something you had to request at the time of filing? I wanna know if I got approved!

Open a "case or account" with USCIS online, then you can select to get email/text updates related to your case number.

Quick question, will appreciate it anyone can give a definite answer. Is there a 90 day limit from NOA date for USCIS to send an RFE? If this limit passes, can one assume there will be no RFE?

The wording here is somewhat different from the notice i got on 11/18 which said :

This is just so confusing......anyways..... whatever!!!!!

I just received the letter saying that it's been transferred to CSC. Just curious, is there any way to tell for sure if it's actually at a local office?

Looks like you included all the important stuff to me, but you just never know with these people.

I got the update that my case was transferred to local USCIS as well, but the notice letter I just received says it's been transferred to CSC.. You'll probably get a letter as well.

My online case status says transferred to a local USCIS also. I think maybe we can call to find out where exactly the case is. But i wil assume the hardcopy notice letter is golden! So if its at CSC, then that is where it probably is except maybe you get another letter stating its at your local USCIS office.

Do you both have any utility bills on both of your names? What about cell phone bills, mutual credit cards, copy of ID's where mutual address is showing things like that.

Utility bills is lumped with our lease agreement and paid to the landlord directly.....basically its in the Landlords name.

We are credit card free [hard to believe i know ] ...The only bill i have addressed to both of us and shows mutual address is a medical bill for my wife...I guess i can add copies of our ID's also. [if we do get an RFE...oh well]

Oh really? Why is that? I thought that if you got your biometrics done early, before your scheduled appointment, that it would speed-up your application process. :/

I don't think it does....It depends on the number of applications ahead of yours.....so basically even if you finger print before someone whose application is ahead of yours, their case will still have precedence over yours...I could be wrong though!
