  1. Please help me I'm so confused!!!

We filed for K-1 visa and our interview location is Mumbai, India. Our K-1 was approved and sent to the the

    consulate in Mumbai, India.

So my fiancee got a letter saying that he has to get the PCC and the medical done first and then we can go

online and schedule an appointment for an interview/biometrics.

However usatraveldocs website says that the medical must be before 4-7 days before the interview. So can we

schedule an interview now because he has has been requested by the regional passport office to collect the

PCC on 2/24/14 and his medical is on 3/1/14?

I am really confused because the NOA2 said that it expires on April 29 of 2014 and I have no idea what that means.

We already filled out the DS-160 form.

    Thanks so much!!

Also, can we schedule the interview now because he is scheduled to pick up his PCC on the 24th of Feb and his medical is on the 1st of March? I am really hesitant to do this, but does anyone have any experience with this. Please let us know!!

  3. The websites aren't real-time. There's probably a daily upload that updates them. Maybe a couple times a day.

I think you've been the unfortunate victim of paying for an attorney and having them screw something up leading to a delay in your case, which happens quite a lot and why people recommend skipping them. If you both provided Letters of Intent with original signatures, you need to have a conversation with that lawyer and get your money back.

Well, I guess it is good to know that the website is not real-time.

Thank you for responding. He wrote his letter and had it notarized it India and mailed it to me and I did the same here. I gave them both to my lawyer. This is really disappointing... sad.png

Hopefully we can somehow sort this out.

    Take care!

  4. Hi Everyone,

I'm sorry to start a new topic for this, but I really needed some advice. cray5ol.gif

Ok so I have a really confusing problem. I'm super sad about it. We filed through our immigration attorney on the first week of October. I received my hardcopy of the Noa1 on the 15th of Oct and on the 29th of Oct my fiancee's A# changed and that was the last update. No big deal...I'm prepared to wait. I check the uscis website once a day and the status has been and still is in initial review. ( Last update being the A# assigned on Oct 29th.)

Lo and behold I come home form work today and check my mail and I have a letter from the USCIS. Of course I freak out because I just had a weird feeling. I open it and the letter says that there was no intent to marry proof shown.. the letter said that the beneficiary and I can provide two separate affidavits affirming that we will marry within 90 days of his arrival to the US. We both wrote two affidavits of intent which was given to our attorney who prepared our packet.

I called uscis and they said that according to their update they don't have a request for an RFE but if I got a paper copy I should probably just send in whatever they want. I checked the website again and it still hasn't updated from October 29th and the letter I received today (11/22/13) was dated 11/16/13.

So, I guess the website is not always up to date and accurate?? I am not really sure what to do except respond to the RFE. Please let me know if it is normal to receive RFE's in mail and not be informed via text, email or website update.

  5. I got a RFE at 7:45 am! I am so happy because this means I won't be waiting for months and months and months! I'll mail off whatever they need ASAP and then on to the slow process with NVC. smile.png 23 days from NOA1... amazing!

    Hi LizzieBee,

no0pb.gif You are so positive and that's so awesome! Please tell me how you were informed of the RFE at 7:45 am. I want to assume text or email because of the specific time you mentioned. The reason I ask is because I never got a text or an email or even a case update to RFE status on the USCIS website, but today (11/22/13) I came home form work and I checked the mail and I got a RFE in the mail. The RFE is dated November 16th. I'm actually rather confused by it because we sent in what they are requesting and we are working with an immigration attorney. By no means do I mean that my lawyer is infallible...in fact right now I feel like I should have done this myself. Anyways, please let me know. Thanks. Good luck to you.

  7. Hi everyone!!!

I'm so excited for those who have gotten their NOA2's!! I have been trying to stay busy with work, but I still check my status everyday!! I know that it is really lame because I do have the texting set up!!

I have a question!! I read about people seeing their files "touched" where are they seeing these updates? I don't see anything like that. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!!

Stay happy and positive!!! Good things are in store for all of us!!!

    cheers!!

  8. Congratulations Lizeh and Smang!!! I'm so happy for you!! How exciting!! dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

Jess&Mohamed, stay strong!! I am sure you will get your NOA2 soon!!!

For us it will be a month (tomorrow 11/15/13). Our NOA1 was dated 10/15/13 and we are at TSC. I wish I could have him with me as soon as possible, but I am ok with waiting as long as everything goes smoothly!!

    Good luck everyone!!!

  9. Hi Everyone!!

Nice to meet all of you!! I am an October filer. I am filing for my fiancee who lives in India.

Our I-129F was sent the 1st week of Oct and our NOA 1 was dated 10/15/13. My fiancee was assigned an A# on 10/29/13. I know that this can be a long process, but I am hoping and praying that this will not be drawn out for any of us!!

I was so excited when he got an A# assigned and then I realized that it is not necessarily indicative of an NOA 2.

I look forward to getting to know you all!! All the best friends!!
