    That is a good sign. The passport is required during the medical, so giving you back the passport is not a bad thing. Just follow the instructions of the CO and try to get the medical completed as soon as you can Good luck

    Good morning all, A friend is filling out form I-864, because she is the petitioner for her husband. They both live abroad (Sweden) and have two kids. She does not work, and I will be their co-sponsor. 1- Part 5: Sponsor's household size: does she need to list the two kids as dependents, knowing that she does not work. 2- because she lived abroad for the last 10 years, she did not file taxes as she does not have any income, would a letter explain that be enough to avoid an RFE? THank you

    My wife had her interview in May. She took the AoS packet with her but they did not ask for it when she submitted the documents. All they wanted was her civil documents

    Casablanca does not ask the applicant to bring in the AoS package. It is a done deal once approved by NVC, unless you are cutting it close to the poverty limits.

    If any of you was previously married, prepare the original certificate of the previous marriage as they will ask for it, even if you submitted a divorce certificate of that marriage.

    Plan to be there early (9 or 9:30am) and clarify with the clerks at the court. Rather go early and be told 1pm is correct, than miss the correct time if it is earlier

    It depends on the consulate in your home country and the backlog they have (Cela depend du Consulat dans le pays d'origine et combien de retard ils ont).

    They usually schedule interviews mid-month. Most government agencies take the month of August off (I know the US consulate is not a Moroccan agency but they employ many Moroccan staff). Expect an interview scheduled in mid-September for early to mid-October Good luck

    When we got DQ, we received two emails at the same exact time: the generic message stating NVC updated the case and we need to log-in to the portal, and the second email stating the case is documentarily qualified. This was back in February. I am not sure if it is still the practice right now

    NVC will send an email and a message will appear in ceac portal stating DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED
