OP: VJ is a community that provides insight and help in US immigration cases around the world. VJ has no way of making decisions in any case, but rather can provide valuable help to resolve issues based on the expertise of some members and the experiences of others. Shopping around for different answers by providing different versions of the story is not going to get you anywhere with your actual process, but it will only get you confusing feedback based on the information you provide every time. I know some members may be looking for hope and comfort by providing different versions of the actual story, but it will not change the outcome of the case, because only the appropriate authorities have a say on the decision. Providing not accurate version of the story might get you the wrong advise

The published date for responding to I quirked is one week right now: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html it is a good sign if the case have been reaffirmed by USCIS and sent back to NVC for processing. but you don’t know if that is the case yet until you get a response from NVC. Good luck

The congressional case worker escalated the case today to the department of State, because they are not getting responses to the congressional inquiries. These are the screen shots of a case I was following in Casablanca. The progress is insanely crazy: The case went from Expired to Refused to Nonimmigrant visa Application Received to Approved to Issued.

From the cases I was tracking (and again, I know all cases are different), all the cases that went to Expiring Soon, ended up being Issued. I guess we will wait for the phone call to ask for the updated medical, or to tell us the next steps. They kept my wife's passport since 17-May-2022 (over a year now)

ello VJ family. I hope all is well. I know we have seen some crazy things in the immigration world, and I hope some of you can shed some light on this case status update for us: Our case status never changed from Ready. My wife's initial interview was in 17-May-2022. She was given a white 221(g) form for missing documentation. We sent the docs and they were received on 26-May-22. They called my wife for a subsequent interview. The interview was on 21-Feb-2023. They told her all went well and they will contact her. The date last checked was changing frequently, but the status never changed from Ready. The last date last checked was 08-May-2023. Today, the status changed to "Expiring Soon". I know I was tracking some cases in Casablanca and some of them went to "expired" or "Expiring soon" and then ended up being "Issued". These are the last updates on our case: Can anyone make sense of this? I really need some good news here Thank you all

Those are dates shown in ceac as Date Case last updated. We are in the same boat: interview May 17, 2022. Casablanca asked for additional documents. Documents received May 26, 2022 Updates here and there on a monthly basis through February 2023 and then weekly updates since then until last week. Still no real update (the case shows Ready, since it was ready in May 2022) But, every case is different

FINALLY IT’S OVER 🥳

Congratulations -
Something is missing in this story. There is always a trigger. He will not just retaliate for no reason, something must have happened, he is not gonna just single out your fiancé like that. That same Dr. Has completed the medical for a lot of applicants in Morocco and he is still approved by the consulate.

you can try a Community college, tuition is usually cheaper than a regular college. You have to show your own or your dad's wealth to be able to sponsor you as an international student in the US. I say wealth because it is very expensive (tuition, cost of living, room & board, and medical insurance). You can't rely on friends or not immediate family members to sponsor you. And most of all, you have to show strong ties to your home country, and justify why you chose the US to further your studies. Morocco has a lot of good schools also (they don't compare to the US, but, you will have to convince the CO why you picked the US) Good luck

AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT QUESTION (merged)
etrangais replied to JamesBz's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Tax year (2022) is the latest and is mandatory The other two (2021 and 2020) are optional NVC needs to see actual income: recent pay stubs or any proof of recent income is best
