  1. For the self employed, (any self employed) evidence of current income will come from the "total income" line of your most recent tax return. "Account balances" can be used as evidence of liquid assets, not "income".
  2. Your brain added a "the" that was not there. Your frustrated "why" questions, demonstrated you were (at that time) incredulous. Lot's of unanswered "why" questions. Best to get over it. Do not expect to enjoy the CRBA interview experience.
  3. "Permanent address" is not "a thing" in the immigration process. If your wife intends to live in the house you own, once in the USA, then enter that address. If you are just a visitor in her country, your current physical address is not in her country. You are visiting, not residing.
  4. Very pertinent question in this case. Sounds like answer is yes, but not yet. F2A from Philippines is not quite 7 years now. I would not marry or start any process until he knows if he will maintain his LPR status. Of course, if he is Filipino, they can always stay together in the Philippines.
  5. I strongly advise you to drop the incredulous attitude and just follow the instructions. Read them carefully, interpret them literally, and act accordingly. Pay attention to the absence or presence of little words like , and, if, or, and the.
  6. You pasted text and then commented on it. For birth on or after November 14, 1986, the U.S. citizen parent must have been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions ***for five years prior to the person’s birth,*** at least two of which were after the age of 14. this says the 5 years prior to the child’s birth. Maybe I am misunderstanding this.
  7. I clarified. Not what you PASTED, but what you typed. Yes, high school records would be an example.
  8. I mean not in what you PASTED. You misinterpreted and added THE five years. There is no "the" before the five in what you pasted. Read carefully, and interpret literally.
  9. You just need to find those instructions by reading ALL the instructions for the I-864. Become an A-Student of the entire document.
  10. You TYPED the word "the". It is not in what you posted. They don't care which five years. ANY five years MINIMUM.
  11. You added a "the" that is not in the requirement. It's ANY five years, and any two years. You could qualify if you lived in the USA until you were sixteen, left, and never came back.
  12. For them, it is NOT "obvious". You can pay taxes in the USA without living in the USA. They want "evidence" not "testimony". Just read everything you see at that link. The reason they like school records, is that they are actual evidence you were in the USA attending school. Don't be dense. Any school records. Schools keep records on students. Transcripts but also other records.
  13. Any school records that will demonstrate you qualify. Since you've lived in the USA, your whole life, probably no need to show elementary school records.
  14. For CRBA, it is NOT "the last five years". It's any five years since birth and any two years since turning 14. They really like to see school records, which are easy to get. Start here now. https://mx.usembassy.gov/passports/births/
  15. Yes, you are overthinking. This is a case where 1, the truth will set you free, and/or 2, it will never come up in the interview anyway.
  16. No need to delay any part of the wife's process. It's Mexico. Get in the interview queue as soon as possible, because it's quite long. Some members take the belt and suspenders approach no matter what the circumstances. Circumstances matter. No need for delaying anything.
  17. For example, with the instance of TB being high in the Philippines, I advice getting at least a skin test a few months prior to the interview, so you can be pro-active if it's positive.
  18. Possible to save a few days of a 18 to 24 month process, by filing online. Otherwise, the online form is still glitchy. Filing on paper is still my preferred way to go. Then you know exactly what they are going to see and in what order.
  19. No harm in that but this is a perfect example of a question that, IMO, ....IS...."applicable" and the answer would be "none" or per instructions "Unemployed". My preferred answer for somebody never employed is "Never Employed" and just leave it at that.
  20. Simply enter "Never Employed" in the first employer name space and move on to the next section. Note, that a qualified sponsor is required at the next stage of the process, so have a plan for that.
  21. That's a matter of opinion. If you have no actual expedite reason for your own case, you are rudely wasting the time of the members here. If you are looking for a list of reasons so you can contrive your own, same "harm".
  22. Were you denied at the first interview? If so, you haven't been through the real AP yet.
  23. Why don't you google the acceptable criteria? If YOU have a reason, mention it. If you're just trolling, Google is your friend.
