  1. Then, you'll need that police report, which IS available.
  2. You'll get an email from NVC. Follow the instructions.
  3. Exactly, but she must also plan for the affidavit of support, to financially sponsor her then husband.
  4. You probably read lawyer pages about green cards instead of spouse visas. An immigrant spouse visa, is an immigrant visa process that results in a green card. The I-485 is for an adjustment of status from within the USA, that also results in a green card.
  5. It is not inaccurate, but this stage is all about your spouse, except for your affidavit of support. Is she interviewing in Thailand?
  6. My address in the Philippines includes "Red gate", Purok 2, "Barangay which is same as Barrio", City, Province, etc. Do the best you can.
  7. Does the "beneficiary" actually reside in Thailand? If so, yes, it is required for her, not you.
  8. Evidence a child is your stepchild is the child's birth certificate naming your wife as the child's mother, and the marriage certificate (translated if not in English) as evidence you are married to the child's mother.
  9. If it was me, I would skip the W7 and just file on paper. Married filing separately, cannot be filed online when the spouse has no SSN.
  10. That is not comingling. Just leave it out. You live together. That's PLENTY of relationship evidence.
  11. I think whatever you did to get DCF is already enough. Your intentions are quite clear already.
  12. Extensive and expensive additional security checks that are not started until it is otherwise decided that they are willing to issue the visa, so not until AFTER the interview. Time to start reading in the regional forum.
  13. Yes, it is possible, but that will not speed up the process for a Pakistani male. He'll still have to undergo the Administrative Processing after the interview, like any Pakistani male.
  14. The strongest evidence of a bona fide evidence most newlyweds have, is evidence of time spent together in person. You're living together. Concentrate on that.
  15. Agreed. The OP does not have a domicile issue, as their DCF is based on a job transfer back to the USA.
  16. You were "unmarried" (not "single") the minute your divorce was pronounced final.
  17. When you ask the wrong question, you get a wrong answer. If you asked "When do I upload?" The answer would be "now". That message definitely IS a stock message. The word "may" in the sentence about the joint sponsor is the first key. Second is that the Consular Officer will make the decision. From numerous experiences with that message, I'm absolutely confident that it is "stock".
  18. OK. I'm not sure that is actually correct. BUT....like I said, it is extremely unlikely you would get either an expedite or a visitor visa. My real advice is to forget about both, and find any way you can to be of assistance to your spouse in this situation. Perhaps counseling by video call, or an extended visit by you.
  19. "I was told."??? Told by whom? What's the source?
  20. Most likely no to both questions, but it will hurt nothing to request an expedite. If she NEEDS a visitor visa, she is unlikely to get one BECAUSE she intends immigrate.
  21. Yes, that would be best. Submit/replace the old one by uploading new. Also provide updated evidence of current income. A current pay stub will do nicely for that.
  22. Yes, but in most countries the US Citizen spouse is not allowed to actually attend the interview, as much due to space limitations as anything else. It CAN BE helpful to be nearby waiting, if possible, but definitely not technically required. Which country?
  23. Self Employed Uber driver is an acceptable "occupation" when filing the petition. Yes, you'll need to qualify as sponsor about a year from now when the petition is already approved. Note that your self employment income is not "income" until it appears on a tax return. Until then, it is "revenue". Income is revenue minus business expenses. You have many expenses related to automobile and other expenses to deduct before you can call it "income" in an immigration context.
  24. For a proper recommendation, it's critical to know how much time passed between your entry and your marriage. If your marriage was more than 90 days after your entry, you'll be needing to file the I-130 along with all the adjustment of status paperwork. Whether you do it yourself or hire a professional, definitely don't "just wing it".
