My husband and I filed 8/7/13, and we received a notice that we have been transferred to the California office dated 2/5/14. Are these posts saying people are getting approved within days of being transferred?

Yes, that was the case for me anyway.

Someone mentioned 2-year home residence requirement under J-1 visa. Do you know how carefully they are checking every day? When do they check it? At the embassy during the interview?

My spouse is subject to the two-year rule...I did consult with an immigration lawyer, who told me "two years is two years", i.e. don't try to cheat, and that they will ask for proof at the interview. One can prove the two years with passport stamps, pay stubs from a job, etc.

However, I don't know whether they add up the days carefully to reach 365x2 = 730. If someone schedules the interview two weeks early, does the visa application get rejected? I don't know.

Approved! I got a text alert a few hours ago. CSC is fast.

Unfortunately I have to wait a few more months because of a J-1 two-year rule situation, but at least the I-130 is done.

I got transferred today as well...MSC1391632xxx.

I haven't been following the thread so closely but people seem happy, so I guess this is a good thing.

Also, congratulations to those who got approvals.
