  1. Our card was picked up by USPS and tracking number provided. I guess we are not doing the medical RFE. 🤣 So, I assume the interview got waived too? Or is it normal to do the interview after receiving the greencard?
  2. we are gonna wait a month to see what happens on the uscis website, basically to see if our status changes to 'card printed' or if we get a request for interview.
  3. Received our NOA for AOS, in the mail this weekend. Still have not decided what we are gonna due with our medical RFE, we have a couple of months wait time till due, so we are gonna play it by ear.
  4. Along the same line... What would you do if 2 days before you received your AOS approval email, you got the RFE for medical (I-693)? Would you postpone your medical and wait for the approval letter or would you just get the medical done? I am thinking, if we get our approval letter and green card, no need for medical. Or do you think that's nonsense, they know a RFE was generated and will not grant the green card until RFE is completed? Thanks mil
  5. Follow up on our AOS application... we got an email for AOS approval. still waiting for official mail and i guess the greencard. so i have a dilemma...do we need to address the RFE for I-693 medical or if we get our greencard before the RFE expiration date, no need to submit form I-693? i mean, we got our greencard, so why bother? or do you think they will come after us for failure to address the RFE even after issuing our greencard?
  6. Good information, thanks We got RFE for medical, then 2 days later email saying our AOS is approved. Someone said beware of glitch in system because email was sent on a Saturday (non-working day). We'll just 'hang loose' and wait for an official notification in the mail. Appreciate the suggestion to find a cheaper doctor elsewhere, as the one here is charging $340 🙄🤮🤬
  7. Us too, we got the RFE 2 days ago. What hurts more is the $340 cost for the examination. Looks like i have to work another day of overtime. It is b.s. but consider who we are dealing with. i am sure they have reasonable justification. and we are at their mercy... For us, the strange part is today we got an email saying we got our AOS approved, official mail forthcoming. Wondering if we should hold off on the medical, maybe they will forget we have to do it. Any thoughts?
  8. Aloha, 2 days ago, we got an RFE for medical. I the letter said they want us to see an approved physician to conduct the examination. Sounds like they want to make sure we are up to date on all vaccinations. So we happily made our appointment for Monday the 9th. Unfortunately, the examination is not covered by insurance and it will cost us $340. Oh well, cost of marrying a foreigner. Fast forward 2 days later, we got an email saying our AOS application has been approved! We are happy, but wondering, why would they RFE us on the medical and still approve our AOS. So my question is, should we postpone our medical and hope no one knows any better later on? Perhaps when we get the official approval document, it will have a contingency clause pending medical RFE approval. Anyone experience this before? Thanks Mil
