Same situation happened to me in last January my passport hold by Home office and US embassy london requesting updated documents with original passport. So what I did I emailed US embassy london and described my situation they transfer my case to islamabad embassy in a month time. (17 jan - 21 feb) Islamabad embassy contact me.

Without a passport US Embassy london not proceed your case, they need passport as well as visa for certain time to complete a procedure.

Waitingggg yes my admin process continue from islamabad embassy too.

Case background

Originally my case came from nvc to london embassy and my case no start with (LND) interview held in london embassy Sep2011 but they put me in AP then AP continues till Jan 2013 by the time they ask me for updated documents but during that time my documents is in UK Home Office that's another tricky situation for me but at the end I widraw my case from london embassy and transfer my case to islamabad embassy that take 1 month to transfer then in march Islamabad embassy ask for relevant updated documents with passport and they wrote in email they are in position to process my case, but from March till Nov case status showed Administration Process continously but in October my case updated date change 10 times in a month and 1 Nov its changed to Issued.

That's my story of Immigrant Visa in future is any ones need and info please do ask I am happy to share my experience

When you log in and filling USCIS ELIS form and paying fee you just need to add A0 in start i.e A0666666

Police Certificates - ACPO Criminal Records Office

ACRO is the only authority to issue you police certificate in UK which is acceptable for US visa & US Embassy.

They issue you whatever date you mention its start from their and till the current date.

The main thing they check either any fraudulent or criminal activity record from concerned person.

So it's totally up to you guy's whenever you decide you can order it they ask for some relevant documents also.

If he returning for interview purpose my get it from their otherwise its big hassle to order it from Pakistan

He just need to pay some extra £ its come in 10 days (£35 for normal & £70 for urgent) not sure exact figure. When I requested in london its come in a week time. Its valid for 6 months so its better to made it before request from US embassy.

In September we contacted our senator he wrote islamabad embassy on our behalf but embassy responded in same way as before same pattern line's don't worry when administration process over we will contact applicant we can't predict any time frame for any case.

This is my 7 month in administration process.

No flags .... all went smoothly from the documentations to interview just the administration process hanging, not sure why never understand the mechanism behind.

submitted back all required documents in Mar 2013

Now still waiting for embassy response constantly check the status over ceac web site, but still showing admin process status update date change some time in last five months.
