  1. What you are saying does not make sense to me. You said " I then got my I-131 and I-765 combo card around August 2023..." It means your AP and EAD are valid.. " Well, it turns out the card I had was just my I-131 and my I-765/AP card"- ????. You need the AP to reenter, and you just mentioned you had the advance parole. " I contacted my lawyer about the entire situation and she said my I-765 was never approved" .According to your statement ,you received the AP and EAD in August 2023. "I told the CBP agent that my lawyer submitted the paperwork for both my renewals". IF you got the AP/EAD in August 2023 why did you submit the paperwork for renewal?.
  2. If you didn't receive any letter from Vermont saying they transferred your case to Nebraska then send the form I-765 to Vermont. You can enter without problem if your AP is valid.

  16. The Law states if a judge found an asylum application frivolous the person will be permanently barred from adjusting status (See INA § 208(d)(6); 8 C.F.R. § 1208.20), including VAWA petitioners. The Immigration Officer can deny the AOS, in case of "frivolous asylum". VAWA is adjudicated by VSC and Nebraska Center, but the AOS is adjudicated by the local office.
  17. Did they consider your asylum "frivolous"? If they considered frivolous then you might have a problem.

  20. You will not complicate your case because you are asking to expedite, but I doubt they will expedite your case. To return back into the U.S you need a valid advance parole. Read below what USCIS has to say about expediting a case . https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-1-part-a-chapter-5
  21. Send a certified mail to your attorney saying you no longer want him to represent you. Make sure that your attorney forwards to you all mails received after he was fired. Ask USCIS to forward all mails to your address, submit a copy of the mail receipt. Keep in mind that USCIS rarely updates addresses.
  22. Recently I encountered a case similar to yours. After waiting 10 weeks for the receipt to be issued, I inquired USCIS and they mentioned "resubmit the application". You were instructed to inquire within 60 days, then wait a few more weeks. I had more than 20 cases for which the receipts took five months to be issued.
  23. The letter should be sent to the office where your case is pending.(Vermont(, but if you submitted your I-360 this year then you should mail the letter to the Nebraska office.
  24. As long your I-485 is pending you can travel with your valid advance parole. You can renew the advance parole 6 months before expires.
  25. I am sorry, but I was not able to locate your message. Form I-864W does not require any additional documentation. The case may be denied since the documents were submitted after the 87-day deadline.
