Congrats!!!
Wish you guys aaaaaaall the best

That is basically the problem, they don't need anything they just told me to wait and we will contact you
Read questions in MENA section, AP and specially LONG ones is so common around here
They say males go thru a longer and lengthier process. It's basically a background check
If your process is only at the embassy level you have a better chance to get out of it quicker but if it's DC related clearance I'm afraid you're gonna be in for a long time
Try to be patient as there is nothing you can do at this point but waiting it out
Good luck

I've entered the seventh month on Administrative Processing with a 221g green slip on my hand
My case status has gone from AP to Ready on 30/Jan/2014 and no touch up ever since
Red flags? Yes I'm a Lebanese living in Pakistan intending to marry a white American citizen
Sometimes I think to myself this is ludicrous to wait from mid 2011 up until today for a K1 visa with a 3 months validity period but then I try to rethink with a little bit of rationality
Hordes of us MENA countries alone are rushing down to the US with "not so pleasant reputation" with different reasons now multiply that by the rest of the world ....
I don't see why would we be bitter by the whole AP and denial story?
Just imagine all types of US visas get issued in like 5 days? With no checks and no doubts! Well that would be a joke to me ....
So let them do what they gotta do
be patient, be strong, be ready and stay positive

You can't do anything but wait it out
I'm in AP and this is the seventh month
I understand your frustration at this point .... The only thing you can do is to get yourself busy with something as counting down will just make it harder and more painful
Stay positive stay strong

Any update???
I don't know WHY you don't have a timeline

What your CEAC status changed to?
Whenever some one touches your file the date would be changed doesn't really anything
-
Well it's just like an Administrative Processing but the messages you get thru CEAC is weird
I'm in AP for the past 6 months and so says the CEAC
I'd appreciate if you come back and tell us what's going on with your case

Well The fiancé(e) K-1 is a nonimmigrant visa, mine is k1 and stated "immigrant" for 6 months during AP up until 2 days ago and now it's changed to nonimmigrant and ReadyQuick question, i never noticed that mine says non immigrant visa. I do not know since when, but it has been like that for a while. I have applied for a k1 visa for fiance. Should it say immigrant or non immigrant?
To be honest I don't understand the change either
-
Thanks for your reply
I hope so
The whole AP story is just a nightmare
I wish you all the best on your cases
-
Congrats!!!!
Have a blast you guys
-
Thanks so much for your reply
I'm kinda used to waiting patiently as there ain't no way around it
I just hope it's not a bad news
Thanks again

Hi everyone
I had my interview on 31of July 2013 and I was put on AP ever since
My case creation date was 03/June/2013
Today my case status is changed to READY and the case creation is changed to 30/Jan/2014
Why creation date of my case is changed? Does this mean I have to wait for another 6 months in AP?
It was immigrant visa application and now it's NON immigrant visa application!!!!
The CEAC Status reads:
Ready
Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days. If no interview was required, please check back in to business days for the status of your application
Can you pleeeeeeeeeease help me understand this
-
Congratulations!!!
-
No1 can tell you how much longer it takes...
And unfortunately there is nothing you could do, but if they asked for your passport and fresh medical exams that's a good news after 2 years
Good luck
-
No one knows how long that takes, for me it's 6 months so far and I'm still waitin...
All I can tell you is NOT to wait, get your passport back and do what you gotta do
It varies from embassy to embassy and case to case
I thought my AP would be 3 months as the consulate officer told me so but that wasn't true
I'm just living my life and pretending I'm not waiting for anything
Good luck
-
It's 6 months I'm in AP and still waiting so ....
-
=)) daaaaaaamn you scared the hell outta me phewwww
I'm in AP for the past 6 months, read your question and my heart came to my throat
This happens to me too mostly in the mornings when I hardly can keep my eyes open
Good luck on your AP

this could be the infamous Administrative Processing maybe???
What does the CEAC status say?
-
I've heard those officers sitting in the other side of the window are TRAINED to detect who's doing what!...
I am no expert but AFTER she got to the US you finally realized she's into women and during these three years you developed feelings for her younger sister make perfect sense ....
Why don't you file for another type of visa?
It's a huge red flag + bright red flashing lights .... even I smell fraud from here
-
Congratulation!...
Wish you and your baby aaaaaaall the best
-
Congratulations!...
But what do you mean Islamabad ain't the toughest embassy??? Are you kidding or you REALLY mean that? Or maybe that was a line just outta happiness
My case is one of the most straight ones, I'm not even Pakistani BUT I'm stuck in AP for the past 6 months JUST because I live in Pakistan! If I was living in Emirates or even Turkey I wouldn't be put in AP
It's not a baseless rumor it's hard fact and the US embassy has all the right to be dubious about people flying out from Pakistan
-
You guys are talking about DAYS and I'm stuck in AP for 6 months and still waiting ....
-
6 months AP so far still waiting ....
Abu Dhabi on AP over 8 months

There is absolutely nothing you can do but wait it out
I mean you are doing whatever you could, getting your senator and congressman is good but they can't speed up the process
Don't email the embassy too often they don't like to repeat themselves
Get yourself busy like you're not waiting for any thing
