U can start the EI process in the USA...as a k1 ur not going to get any $$$ for awhile

If you get stamped with the EAD (90 day) at border crossing and got your SSN about a week after you get there - would you then be able to collect EI for those 90 days? I'm waiting on a call back from Interstate EI on this. Was just curious what your thoughts might be on the matter...

The email is your packet 4, you will not receive a hard copy from MTL. I received my packet 4 via email on September 19. I booked my appointment the following morning and then rescheduled on Tuesday September 24 for an earlier date. Keep your eye on it constantly!

I forgot to mention in my earlier message to you that I received a waiver for certain vaccines not being age appropriate for me. It had all the vaccines listed and beside where it said "influenza" it says "not flu season" or something along those lines...I don't recall the number of the waiver and it is packed away now. But maybe something worth asking about.

I picked up my medical results 2 business days after my appointment and the copy of the waiver was attached to the outside of the envelope and I was told that it was for me to keep.

BTW, I think it's crazy that they are hanging on to your results for so long!!

Medisys in MTL will administer flu vaccine if required at your medical for 25$ I didn't need it, but asked cause my medical was so close to the end of September - flu season starts Oct 1!

Same, interview Tuesday - I resigned that day and picked up my Visa on Friday morning! I'm outta here on the 15th!!

I had my interview on Tuesday October 1 and my status was just updated to "Issued" is was in "AP" yesterday...

Had my interview this morning in MTL and they said to expect my Visa from DHL in about 5 days...business as usual it would appear!

Just keep on it! I had originally scheduled my interview on September 20 for December 11. I kept my eye on it constantly and early Tuesday morning (September 24) I was able to get an October 1 interview date! It was mass panic and rush to get my medical done and my results back but it was done Tons and tons of dates seemed to open up last Tuesday, so just keep on watching.

You should get packet 4 in your email, I did on the same day my status was updated...have a look!

Your fiancé(e) should also received the same packet 3 letter at their US mailing address.

Mine received it before I did!
