Hi, I am a US citizen. I met my Italian husband 7 years ago; we were seperated but went back and forth between the countries under tourist visas to be together (always under 3 months-I worked for the schools in the US). We married in America 2 years ago but continued to go back and forth planning to eventually reside together in Italy (his home) for many reasons; foremost was his family. I have to add that in order to do this I began working another job that paid only for the airline fares and visits. After a lot of planning and 6 months of marriage, my husband returned to the US just to help us all with the last before the move and we all moved to Italy together. We have lived in Italy for over a year now. I do not work but we are fortunate to be in a very stable financial position as well as own a home here. We would like now to return and are beginning that process from here in Italy.
