For the purposes of this site I LOVE getting visas approved and POE chit-chat with US Border Officials!
I got my bachelors in history and my masters in philosophy, so I suppose by default I like those, although my time as a philosophy postgrad taught me that philosophy students are among the most annoying people on the planet.
Sci-fi (or Speculative Philosophy, if you are feeling generous :p) tends to peak my interest.
I love medieval history. The further from Northumberland I get the more fascinating I find it's past.

Our Story
I met my better half (Sophie, USC) within one week of moving to London in October 2010. She had also just moved to London. I was doing my master's at KCL, she was doing hers at the LSE. My master's degree (in Philosophy) is useless, but moving to London to do it is the best decision I ever made as it led to me meeting Sophie.
After a very happy year together she moved back to the US. The reason for this is that despite having lived in the US (New York City, to be precise) since she was 14 (now 28) she was still a Chinese citizen who had been living in the US with her mum, also Chinese citizen, who has been in the US for the past 14 years on a J-1 diplomatic visa. She was now at risk of losing her Green Card after having spent a year in London and 2 years before that working in Beijing. So off she went to become a full-American.
This took from October 2011 to April 2013. I now have 11 NYC entry stamps on my old passport from that long-distance relationship (thank Lucifer for Skype!). In September 2013 we applied for my K-1, which went very smoothly (although there were a few sponsorship issues) and I received on 17th February 2014.
We currently plan to marry on 25th April 2014 when I move to Brooklyn on 30th March. Then on to AOS and employment authorisation!
