Hasan and I met in April of 2011 when he was on a J1 visa working in Iowa City, Iowa and I was attending college at the U of I as a senior about to graduate. He had to return to Turkey after his visa expiration in August of 2012. We started the K1 process in early January of 2013.
Hasan returned to the US on October 16, 2013 via Chicago/O'Hare. We live together and are now happily married!
More than happy to answer any questions anyone may have, I know it's a tedious and stressful process but you will get through it! Patience and overt organization prevail!

UPDATE 07/16/2014:
After many, many set backs and problems that seemed utterly out of our control, Hasan was FINALLY approved for his Green Card today, July 16th, 2014. Two years of overt stress have just melted off of our shoulders; I don't know what to worry about now! :) GREEN CARD RECEIVED ON JULY 22ND, 2014; ONE DAY AFTER SHIPPING.
