Some more questions:

1) when did you send your AOS and IV documents and how long did it take to get case complete?

2) Since CC how long did it take to schedule an interview?

Thank You! I was not allowed inside so she was alone during the interview.

1) It almost took 30-40 days for the case completion as we got a AOS checklist.

2) Don't remember exactly but i think it was after 2 weeks after the case completion.

Contrary to the general expectation, my wife said that the interviewer was very cordial and friendly. So folks, just relax and attend the interviews.

I am very happy to inform you all that my wife's F2A interview has been approved at Mumbai Consulate last week. It was a smooth sail. We prepared all the documents and proofs of our relationship but they didn't check any documents or pictures. They just asked basic questions about us, our marriage and relationship and approved her visa and said that she would be receiving her passport in 10 days. Her PD: Jan 27, 2012.

It's nearly 2 years since we have applied for I-130. Thank god for the smooth result.

I also thank all the VJ'ers who have been very supportive and helpful when needed during this journey. This is a great place to get answers and information to any questions.

Please stay strong and have patience. Your time will come. Good Luck to all of you and hope/pray that you all will be united with your families soon.

i am not sure what to answer to this question:

Do you seek to enter the United States for the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labor but have not yet been certified by the Secretary of Labor?

should i just say no?

but i do intend to work? how do we get certification by the secretary of Labor?

also, when signing the form for my minor child, it asks, did anyone help you fill out this form?

should i say yes? and explain that his mother helped him out because he is too young and cannot yet read or write?

1) We entered 'No' for my wife as you are not authorized to work on anything that is not approved by the Secretary of Labor.

2) Yes,we entered the name and relation of the person who assisted in filling the form.

also, the question, "is your spouse immigrating to the u.s. with you? i should select "no" because he is already in the u.s. right?

My wife selected 'No' as I am already in US. Hope this helps. Good Luck !!

Thanks! I am preparing the response to our checklist tonight and will try to send it to the NVC via DHL tomorrow, hoping that it will arrive there on Thursday. Officially the NVC states that they need 20 business days to review the documents, but so far it has taken them about 10-14 days to review ours. Once you have sent your packages and seen that they have arrived (get a tracking number so that you can see that), you can start calling them and asking whether your documents have been reviewed and the case completed.

Thank You. I paid the fees for AOS and IV. I will send the packages either this week or next.

Oh WOW! I just returned from vacation and saw the VB - congratulations to all who have received interview appointments! I am sad that we are now current but couldn't get an interview yet since our case is not complete, but very pleased to see that some VJ members will manage to complete their F2A journey in less than two years. I called NVC today and they said they entered my record into system yesterday (05/08/2013) and said it would take around 8-15 days for them to give a case number. Typically how long would it take for them to create the NVC Case Number and send the Choice of Agent form? I had a lawyer for I-130. Will it go to him or me (the petitioner)?
